We had an absolutely fantastic time at Honua Kai. The condo, pools, beach, restaurant, store, etc was A! It was very easy to communicate (via text or phone call) with Maui Resort Rentals. They helped provide for extra items we wanted during the stay with a simple text message. I can't wait to rent from you again!
Honua Kai is a great place to stay. This condo was nice and met our needs. It could be improved by adding some more cooking tools and dishes to the kitchen.
The pics don't do this property justice! The whole property with restaurants, markets, shops, beautiful grounds, clean boardwalk, beach access and of course the incredible pools were even better than we imagined! We stayed for 2 full weeks and had everything we needed in the apartment for a young family of 4 and endless fun things to enjoy each day. Easy parking, food truck park, family-friendly restaurants, a nearby grocery store and incredible access to all of the amazing property features. We will definitely be staying here again! Thanks for wonderful memories and a safe and easy stay!

We’ve now stayed at Honua Kai 3 times and this condo was wonderful as usual! We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Maui.
Everything described was on point except one tiny thing. The kitchen sink was clogged up. But overall, we really enjoyed our stay.
We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. There are places to eat and rent equipment from within walking distance. Part of the beach is soft sand and part is rocky. The pool and fitness room are really nice, and the grounds are lovely! There are things I would have preferred knowing beforehand though. This property is a huge resort with a LOT of people, and if you plan on eating at the onsight restaurant, make your reservations before you leave for Maui, as it was completely booked our entire stay. Finding the property was quite difficult, and there was confusion about the check in process. When I called my contact for assistance, the person on the phone wouldn't stop talking long enough to hear my needs and was curt with me, making a long day of travel even longer. Not the kind of service I would expect, considering the excessive cost of our stay. We found a few simple maintenance issues that we reported before we left. One issue was that the ice maker wasn't working. Otherwise, it's a beautiful, comfortable, family friendly place to stay.
Class A property with class C service. Hotel room better value than condo rental based on service, amenities, and fees.
My husband and I have been to Maui many times but this time we brought our 5 month old daughter with us. Honua Kai was a great place to stay for our little family! It was important for us to stay somewhere with pools, beach access, walking distance to restaurants, as well as walkways for our daily walks. This place checked all the boxes and the management company was very communicative when we had questions. The beach gear package was an extra bonus that made our stay with an infant even more enjoyable.
Room 201, Korea, was just as pictured. The knives REALLY do need to be sharpened—hint, hint!! We really enjoyed our stay and did not want to leave. The mattress was a bit soft but workable. We could never figure how to operate the microwave.
Never used it. The location is super. There are many food trucks behind the property that we used because reservations were not to be had as well as excursions. I’ve never had that happened before on Maui . The pullout mattress was so springy and we had to call for blankets as there were none. But guest services came ASAP and took care of our needs. This is my 2nd time staying and would definitely return.
The king Bed and pillows were not very comfortable.
