Awesome spot - comfortable, clean and easy. Snorkeling and sunsets steps away and watching the surfers and the turtles in the water right below the lanai was amazing. We had such a great time during our stay - Mahalo!
This condo sits in a magnificent location right on the ocean. One can sit on the lanai and watch the waves surfers and birds. The Condo was quite dated however. It was built in 1973 and does not appear to have been modernized.
Need more power strips/extension cords. Amazing view! Next door to great restaurant. Love the balcony.
Excellent location. Great view and close to many attractions and places to dine.

We stayed here for a week with our teens for spring break and it was absolutely lovely. The condo was exactly as described and fit our family perfectly.
Excellent property. Only problems were there was no ice maker and no garbage disposal...even though a sign over the sink indicated there was a garbage disposal and how turn it on
Not fit for Handicap people !, Small Bath rooms , Could not get a standardize Wheelchair in them. Door to lanal keep falling off tract. Wheelchair cannot go on lanal because of door track. Windows at small kitchen table could not close completely, causing a steady whine. from the ocean. Master bedroom bed. OLD Mattress bad shape. Not for Handicap. Only one handicap parking for 75 units AND anyone was aloud to park there. Told by management Hawaii Father in thing? For the week we were giving en for two people two bath towels each and two wash clothes each. No clean sheets for the week. No phone call from Host or Condo personnel Which tells me after a fall problem resulting in blood on the bed sheet. note very little blood. NO ONE CARED and bottom line WHY answer MONEY. Second for this 85 year old person try to make it work. SAD
This property was perfect. The balcony was amazing to just watch the surfers and whales spouting and the beautiful sea.This condo is equipped with anything you might need. Beds were very comfy too. It’s so nice that beach chairs, coolers etc. are there for your use.We were busy doing things but it was always nice to get back to this unit and relax.Hoping we can come back again. Thank you

We had an unbelievable time at this Condo! We saw whales and turtles every day while enjoying coffee and again at Social hour. And one day we saw at least 3 dozen dolphins some doing their jumping out of the water and spinning. The A/C worked great. The community bbq grills worked great. You can swim, snorkel and surf right outside. We picked the right place to stay on Kauai!

We had a great time at the condo. Perfect for our family of four (2 kids ages 21 and 18). It was clean and spacious and the view was amazing. Also, south island location couldn’t be beat. Hope to be back someday!
We have traveled all over the world, and this is by far the best oceanfront view we have ever had from our accommodation. The condo itself was clean, comfortable, climate controlled, and met all our needs, including a good selection of beach gear. The building elevators were great so we didn't have to heft luggage, groceries, beach gear, etc up and down stairs. Good location for exploring the whole island, from the natural beauty sites to fun activities.
The location of the complex and position of the unit itself is wonderful. You can get some sunrise and the sunset from the lanai! Small beach with snorkeling and a restaurant next door. You can rent snorkel gear next door as well which we recommend highly. It’s a nice enough condo but needs a little attention. Windows to the lanai would not open, screen door struggled to slide ( the wheel was not bolted on) and there was an odor that lingered. The bedding was pretty dated and the place could use a deeper clean from time to time. The main bedroom definitely could use a refresh. All the amenities mentioned were there and we were grateful for those items! There was a plumbing problem which was fixed promptly, thank you Albert. The communal laundry facility ( one laundry room per floor) was very tidy and nice.
I would advise to find another unit in this complex. The location is fantastic...oceanfront and south facing in Koloa, but this unit is dated. It appears to have little, if any updates since construction in the 1970's other than the mini-split AC units in the living room and main BR (none in the second BR). The lanai has a table, a single lounge chair, and stackable plastic chairs. During our stay we met the people next door and had the opportunity see this unit. It was nicely remodeled...more what you would expect for rentals in this price point. Also, we lost power the first night of our stay, and after exchanging several messages with the host and then speaking with the onsite complex property manager, it was restored after being out approx. 12 hours (the issue was a direct result of actions by the owner). Initially, to his credit, the owner offered to reimburse me approx. 1/3 a night's stay by paying for a dinner, but requested that I send him a receipt proving the cost, which seemed tacky given the inconvenience we experienced. I did that though, and now close to one week later I still have not been reimbursed. Again, great location, but consider other units in this complex.
What a perfect base for our first visit to Kauai! Perfectly appointed with super comfortable beds, plenty of space for 3 adults, and I really hated to leave one of the best coffee and cocktail sipping spots I’ve ever experienced. The view is incredible!
If you want to be right on the ocean and to hear it 24/7 this is the place. Many amenities for adults and children. Safe area near shopping and beaches.
Condo was as described. Many sea turtles and surfers to watch from the living room and balcony. Great sunsets. Kitchen was Well equipped with all of the essentials. I don’t recall if listing stated that bedroom with twin beds did not have air. It was pretty warm for September. Appear condo below us was having a lot of tile work, so a tile saw was pretty loud almost every day. Nonetheless, having stayed in Poipu/Koloa area many times, I will definitely stay at Kuhio Shores again and would stay in this condo again. Mahaolo and Aloha.
The view and location are amazing. It is an easy walk to nearby beaches to snorkel, and Baby Beach had a lot of sea turtles. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The only note is that there is no A/C in the second bedroom. We left the door open and used the box fan to get some air in there. It worked out, but it was definitely warmer in the second bedroom. I would stay at this property again.
The five stars are for the beautiful views of the ocean. I wouldn’t give 5 stars to the condo. The condo was clean but very dated. The beds were comfortable the air conditioning was a must and made the time spent in the condo tolerable because it was hot and humid as is expected in August. A few things could be done to make the condo look fresher. New floor mats the faucets had corrosion.
Our family of three stayed on the property for my daughter’s college graduation trip. The location was fantastic and the views spectacular! We would definitely stay again!

We loved our stay! It was exactly as advertised. The host was responsive and helpful. The views were incredible. The beds were also super comfy and the space was nice and roomy.
Our family of four (including two teens) had a great stay in Poipu and would be happy to stay in this condo again. We loved seeing and hearing the ocean each day, and the views from the lanai were amazing, including the ocean, surfers, turtles, snorkelers, and so on. We saw turtles in the water near the rocky shoreline on most days and also enjoyed the scene and views at sunset. This property is right next to Lawai Beach and the Beach House restaurant so it is a destination point for many at sunset. The kitchen had everything we needed for our meals, and we also appreciated and enjoyed the proximity to all the local attractions. There is so much to do in the area.
(Note: If you are someone who prefers or requires resort-like amenities, this place may not be for you. For our family, it was perfect.)
We had a great time at this property. It had everything we needed and was so cute! So close to the water. Very breathtaking views and we would go back again! Loved it and the property owners are so kind and helpful and very quick to respond to any questions or asking for any recommendations. We will be back!
It was a spectacular view of the ocean that really let you relax. You didn't feel rushed to get it of the condo so you could go do something. We ate all our meals on the balcony with the ocean view and sounds. We cooked breakfast at the condo and I enjoyed the blender and good appliances.

As advertised! The location was ideal, beach right beside condo offered awesome snorkelling, 10-15 minute drive had 10 other beaches, lots of dining and grocery options. A short 10 minute walk to all the essentials.
Condo was super clean, very quiet and hosts have boogie boards, chairs and towels for beach! Awesome for family with young kids with two twin size beds in one room and king in the other, each room with its own bathroom. Every day whales, turtles and monk seals right from lanai! This place is literally 15 feet from the ocean! Truly oceanfront!
If ur looking for a quiet, clean, safe place to stay this is it.
We really enjoyed our stay. Poipu Shores is in a very good location. The view is marvelous. The property appears to be well-maintained. We had a wonderful time, and we booked a stay again next year!
