Awesome place. The Lanai is really great and a bunch of kids were playing on the grass.
Great communication, excellent pre-check in guide and support and very pleasant stay and staff. Family and I had a blast with our greater family staying in the other building.
Excellent resort. Great amenities. Easy to communicate w island contact for property. Would stay here again. All photos are from property here. Walkable amazing food truck park and other places to eat. Best snorkeling right off beach at resort.
Overall, the unit met our needs and the resort itself is incredible! It's also delightful being on the ground floor, particularly with kids since they can easily access the beautiful property and run around at will. The unit itself could use some TLC in terms of cleanliness, the hot water heater is small and runs out quickly, and keep in mind that the smaller of the two bedrooms does not have a window, so is very dark. But overall, we enjoyed our stay and the host was communicative and responsive. We love Honua Kai!

Perfect location and amazing trip
Wonderful location, loved the ease of walking out to the resort amenities from the ground floor. Very comfortable and clean accomodations for our family. We used the pull out sofa which was very comfortable.
Perfect for families, including younger school-age kids. The unit is quiet and has a beautiful view of the grass and mountains. Just down the hallway from the gym and on site store and coffee shop. Kids love the pools and waterslide, and the easy access to the beach. Having Dukes on the property also made it easy to grab food and drinks, and they frequently had live music during the day and the evening, which was a bonus. Was also a few minute walk from the property to an area with many yummy food trucks, which the whole family enjoyed. Owner and local manager were easy to communicate with and responsive.
We really had a wonderful time at Honua Kai. There were some minor issues that came up in the first few days and both the owner and the property manager were super responsive and addressed the problems within a few hours. Can’t say enough about the resort - we’d gladly stay there again.
Love the property, great unit with high ceilings and away from the high traffic areas. We would be happy to stay there again.
Property was perfect for the family vacation we needed. It’s been years since we have been to Maui, we loved the property, amenities and location. It was very relaxing and just what we needed! Thank you for having us, we plan to come back again.
We had a very positive experience. The unit is large and very comfortable. The location is fantastic. Parking was easy. The in unit washer and dryer were a life saver. Beach and pool access are extremely convenient from the unit (and the beach and pools on the property are great). There is a restaurant and a small convenience store on the property - we utilized both during our stay - and there are also markets, stores and other restaurants very close by. I spent a lot of time considering numerous options before booking this property for our family’s vacation and I really feel like we received tremendous value by staying here. Additionally, both the owner of the property and the property manager could not have been more helpful and accommodating. We unexpectedly had to change our flight into Maui to arrive much earlier than initially expected and both the owner and the property manager accommodated an early check in (at the last minute) for us. Similarly, on the day of our departure, they allowed us to remain in the unit until mid afternoon as our flight wasn’t leaving until after 7pm. We were traveling with our 4yo son, so both the early check in and the late check out made a huge difference for us in terms of allowing our son a place to comfortably nap and eat before/after a long day of travel. We really can’t thank the property owner and manager enough! We will definitely be back!
Loved this place! They had everything we needed to enjoy Hawaii and the location was perfect. They had many great add ons for kids which was great when we stayed in for a little down time. The location is perfect, quick walk to the pool/ beach. The lanai was so nice to hang out on and there is a large common grass area perfect for kids to run around on and play. The owner and manager were very responsive, gave great tips and checked in during our stay. Would definitely stay here again.
Honestly, if you are considering this unit, just book it and begin planning the rest of your trip. This unit and resort were great for our family of 5. The host was very helpful and provided great information, along with a useful app with detailed instructions and tips. The unit was clean and well stocked for everything you would need for cooking, laundry, and of course the beach. The convenience of this location cannot be understated. Being able to be at the pool, beach, Duke's, grills, coffee shop, exercise room, or underground parking in under a minute was great. Having the extra grass area in front essentially doubled the lanai space. The resort itself is well maintained. The Duke's was great as a restaurant and also pool-side service. The pools are great and not just boring rectangles. We would absolutely stay here again!
This was a great place to stay, the property was lovely and had all the ammenities and was so much fun for children and the unit was beautiful and outfitted with everything we needed for our stay. I would definitely recommend. The only thing I would note is that the second bedroom doesn't have any windows. This was GREAT for our young children (3&5) because they slept in so late in the mornings with no natural light coming in, but may be a bit disappointing if you are planning to have adults sleep in the second bedroom.
Clean, spacious and family friendly. The host provided detailed arrival instructions that were so handy, with an app that included everything we needed to know before we even got there. Host was prompt in answering my questions as well. My favorite part was the floor level which opens up to a grassy area for our very active boys to run and play every day. The resort itself was beautiful and the onsite restaurant a bonus! Saw too many rainbows to count from our lanai. Would definitely stay again!!!
We had a fantastic stay in Kaanapali at this lovely condo. The property was beautiful and well maintained and the condo had everything we needed. We especially appreciated the beach chairs, cooler, and towel service. The ground floor location made getting to the pool and beach a breeze. We would definitely stay here again.
We had an incredible time and the property was perfect for our family of 4. Check in process was easy and the owners were great communicators and on top of everything. Location is great and kids loved the pools and large grassy areas so throw the football. Would absolutely stay here again!
Our stay was a perfect time . Location of hotel was the best spot quick walk to beach , pool , parking , and lobby . The grass area was amazing being ground level with kids is everything . We will be back !!
Very clean and well maintained unit. 60 second walk from the back of the lanai to multiple swimming pools that our toddler loved!
We loved our stay. The communication leading up to the stay and during was fantastic. With the tragic fires that had happened earlier in the year, we were uncertain of how things would be, but the property owner provided a lot of info to help. The location, supreme. Just walk out the lanai and down to the pool or to Duke's. It was so convenient. It was also quiet and comfortable inside. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Maui.
