Condo was perfect. We've stayed in 6 other units here and it was one of the best. Everything we needed and the lanai and view were the best part. Great communication with Ken and Jim. Would definitely come back
We had a wonderful week. The condo while not perfect was very comfortable and in a great location. We even saw some dolphins this morning before we left. Thank you for the rental.
The unit is comfortable the balcony view is beautiful the location on Ali’i drive is close to town and within walking distance. We were surprised by the amount of traffic noise at night on Ali’i Drive, nothing that can be remedied but something to be mindful of. We enjoyed our stay.

We love the Kona reef property but had a few issues with the unit we rented. There was no indication that the bedroom was NOT air-conditioned and it was miserably hot. There were no instructions for the TV and had to use our you tube account And the sofa bed is way past needing replaced. In spite of all that we had a wonderful time on the big island
The view is great. The condo is poorly maintained. The sofa bed is unusable. The so called mattress is toast - no support, no filling just a bag of springs unsuitable for even a dog. The deck chairs and outside sliding door metal is completely rusted. The deck paint has failed in places. The AC works good for the living room and kitchen but does nothing for the bedroom at the other end. The bedroom even with ceiling fan and counter fan is always hot. The bed is on the too soft category for me. The bed frame at the foot had legs that stick out which cause me multiple toe injuries in the night. There is food in the fridge- left overs that are up to two years expired. The kitchen faucet is totally loose. This has been reported in previous reviews up to two years ago. The bathroom is pretty good but a vinyl seal for the shower is laying loose. A power strip in totally rusted and does not work. A bedroom clock does not work. The living room including the couch looks decent but as mentioned the sofa bed is unusable and should immediately be replaced. This problem has been in reviews for years also. It seems the management/owner of this condo does not care to fix this up as they keep getting it rented due to the amazing ocean view. The complex itself is pretty nice. There are many other good view condos in this complex that have better reviews/maintenance etc.. It is about a .4 mile walk to town. I recommend the little back road closer to the beach - no traffic and not as dangerous as up by the main road. I would not rent again this unit or again from this particular property manager Kenneth Peters. When I tried to contact him via the VRBO link the link did not work. Do not rent this unit - it needs a lot of work.
