The condo was very clean and nicely appointed. They even provided a cooler, beach chairs, beach towels, a boogie board and pool noodle for guests to use. The location views are spectacular. It was very close to shopping and restaurants on Alii drive. Great place to stay!

Overall the condo is in a fantastic location. It is within walking distance to restaurants and shopping. The host is very much in communication with you throughout your stay offering suggestions of things to do as well as answering any questions you might have. The condo has everything you need for your stay. The best part is the view. You are directly in front of the ocean with nothing but great views. As for the things that could be better.... the walls to the outside common area are very thin and you hear everyone walking by when in bed. The bed was not comfortable at all. There is no ventilation in the bathroom and there should be a fan on the back deck to help keep the air circulating due to the afternoon sun. It really is a nice condo and we did enjoy ourselves.
Very spacious and well maintained. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Couldn't ask for a better home away from home while in paradise.
Condo was fine, but not exceptional. Limited supplies. Could have made a better effort to personalize. Cockroaches were obvious. Technician who came to address was excellent.
This is our 4th time staying at Kona Reef Resort. We love the property and it's location.
Great waterfront condo with a beautiful view! Next to a small local beach good for surfing and boogie boarding. A quick walk to restaurants and a quick drive to Safeway for groceries. Well-outfitted kitchen, though other than salt and pepper there were no other spices, condiments, cooking oil, etc. so if you plan to cook you’ll need to pick things up.
We had the most fantastic 9 nights in Kona. The apartment was exactly as written and photographed. The view (which was important to us) was perfect. The sound of the ocean each day was incredible. We watched the surfers, crew boaters, swimmers, fishermen, and shell hunters. We even had three beautiful cruise ships come in which was absolutely lovely. Fantastic location - you can't beat it for two people. Perfect.
If you are expecting a pristine, modern condo, you should quadruple your budget and look elsewhere but if you are looking for a comfortable, reasonably priced place on the water, within walking distance of great restaurants and shopping, this is a top option. It is a few years past update time and I doubt there has ever been a deep cleaning, but again, in this price range, you probably won’t find a better condo. Only real negative is the unusable wifi, but when you’re in paradise, do you really need internet?
We really enjoyed staying at Ocean Front Condo for 7 nights except followings.
1) Sound of leak, a stream of water coming from shower head
2) Heavy smokers who are sitting in the garden facing to the shoer. I am afraid that area is designated for smoking
we have rented another property same complex. We would not rent this property again. long list of things that are dysfunctional.
Birds were insanely chirping before 6am, and you cannot close the windows completely to bock out noise, also AC would make this weird noise all night long . had to use earplugs in order to sleep
