. Was fully equipped with all the beach gear youll need . Different sets and sizes of snorkel gear. Comfortable bed. Only suggestion is if you plan on doing laundry dont wait untill the last minute because the dryer takes a long time to dry due to it being ventless.
Definitely 5* so much is packed into this 637sq.ft. condo that the only thing you might want more of is a little more space. Everything and i mean everything is there for you from the usual supplies to coolers, beach items and even snorkeling equipment to every spice you need to cook and the ziplock bags to store leftovers. The king size bed is super comfy as are the recliners and couch in the living room. No dining room but the patio has a table with 4 very comfortable chairs. Not allowed to have things hanging on the balcony to dry, no problem as a drying rack is there for you out there. We never even needed the washer and dryer. The location was so perfect. We could walk to restaurants and we could get into the free underground parking garage from the back so no need to get stuck in downtown traffic. Mary was so quick to communicate if we needed anything. We travel all over the world and never go back to the same place twice, but if we did, we wouldn't stay anywhere else.

This was a fantastic property right in the heart of historic Kailua-Kona. I cannot believe how close it was to the palace! Mart has thought of everything! Just pack a bathing suit and you are set!
This was a fantastic place to stay in Kona, right in the heart of old Kona village. It had everything we needed, including plenty of swimming gear like snorkels, masks, fins, and towels. The kitchen was well-equipped with various cooking pans and utensils. We enjoyed a lovely view of the street and the ocean below. There’s also a covered garage for parking if needed. The hosts were wonderful and very responsive. I will definitely seek out this place for my next trip to Kona!
Can't get a better location in the heart of downtown Kailua-Kona and interactions with the host were timely and thorough. The condo was clean, new appliances, everything worked as it should. The place is loaded.....towels, beach gear, just about anything and everything a couple or family would want. The kitchen is incredible...Everything is stocked and labeled. We absolutely will go back.
Lots of little amenities you would never realize you needed, made it feel like home. Good walking distance from shops and shore.
Pros: owner responsive, location in middle of Kona, multiple copies of everything you need for the beach, lots of fans (they are needed)
Cons: Listing says building has central AC. Upon arrival place was 85 and learned building AC hasn’t worked in years. There’s a large floor AC in the bedroom that cooled off that room, living room stayed hot. Listing needs to be corrected.
Check-in and check- out instructions were overwhelming.
As mentioned in other reviews, lots of furniture in the living room. To use either murphy bed, must move large recliners into hallway. And upon leaving, must put everything back and wash bedding.
Summary: If you are a small group, want to be downtown Kona, don’t worry about AC, and spend your time at the beach this may work for you.
The condo was perfect! It was clean and comfortable. There was everything you would ever need. The large lanai had a great view - I saw whales every day including a beautiful breach! It was easy access to the main roads to get to anywhere on the island. You could walk to many great restaurants and shops. We would highly recommend!
Communication with owner was excellent. She was very accommodating and even allowed us to drop our luggage early so we didn't have to drive around all day with our bags in our car. The place is very well equipped with kitchen goods, beach & snorkel gear, toiletries, etc. You can't beat the location - shops/restaurants/bars/pier/beach all within walking distance. We saw about 40 dolphins from the patio. My only criticism (if you can call it that) is the oversized furniture. Two enormous reclining chairs are in the living area and there is no where to move them if you open the sleep-away & trundle bed. The furniture on the patio is also difficult to get around. We were out most of the day, anyway. I would definitely stay here over a hotel because of all the amenities.
We had a great stay! Mary was very responsive, and her condo was very well stocked with beach equipment and other condo necessities. She even let us check in a bit early since it was vacant the day we arrived.
Great location with included parking right in the middle of restaurants, shops, and beachfront. Owner very responsive to all requests. Property well stocked for all needs. Would definitely return!
