Our host as very accommodating and responded to anything we needed. The daylight lower apartment is nicely set up. We could see a little view of trees and the water from the small deck with a surrounding flowering garden.We were able to make meals on the hot plate and small refrigerator provided. A microwave and coffee pot is available too. The bathroom is beautiful and the bed comfortable. It was in a neighborhood, so stores are 20 to 30 minutes away. But we appreciated the quiet and snorkling was within 15 minutes away. A nice, clean and reasonably priced place to stay.
Even though it is listed as an amenity, the host does not allow you to use the clothes dryer.
We found Kabira and her thoughtfully furnished,clean, efficient apartment very welcoming. Truly a rural retreat and very quiet and relaxing. High up over the ocean!My need of a cane made things a bit challenging getting up a steep driveway and then steps but it was well worth the effort

The property is a great place to relax and enjoy the scenery. It is not an easy place to get to after dark because the streets are very steep, narrow and dark. The hostess was very kind and helpful in suggesting activities for us. One challenge is very little water available during periods of drought (like now), so we were encouraged to conserve as much water as possible.
Very nice apartment with nice sunset views. Clean, well maintained, reasonably well equipped and provisioned. Lots of handwritten signs laying down lots of rules. Hostess very nice. Need clearer instructions on where yonpark the car.

Location near two step, pebble beach and other stuff south of Kona. Christine the caretaker was very nice. Perfect sunset view from the deck. Only issue was the small fridge which tended to condensate. Ice maker was good but no freezer space. No kitchen stove but hot plate worked fine.
Out of the way, near the beach, tucked in a quiet neighborhood. If you are looking for a quiet retreat, this is your place. The owner is an artist and gardener with connections to the local healing arts community. We had a lovely stay and our host was thoughtful and kind.
For browsing around the island this is a secluded and beautiful spot with a great ocean view for sunsets.

Great view of the ocean, amazing flowers and greenery all around. Almost never heard traffic sounds or neighbors.
Accommodations are spacious and efficient. Very comfortable bed and pillows, luxurious shower, well equipped kitchen. Kabira was available, friendly, and helpful with suggestions. Staying here was a perfect part of our Hawaiian experience.
I really enjoyed my stay! The property is in a private neighborhood with access to its own beach at the end of the road. It’s in a good location to experience the entire island by car. And, it comes with a kitchen, so that you can prepare your own food.

The house is located in a steep hill area, very hard to find. You may have accident parking if you are not a skilled driver. Inside the house, cooking ware could be better. Overall, it is not a stunning house.
My wife and I stayed here for six nights. The property was clean and very quiet. The owner cares that her guests have a good time. The property is close to pebble beach that is quiet and not well known. We had the beach to ourselves for over an hour. This is a great place to stay if you want a quiet stay with an amazing view.
Some things to know:
The neighborhood is very quiet. At night it is amazing to fall asleep listening to the birds.
Stop and get any groceries or supplies in town before heading to house. There is a Walmart or Safeway about 10 minutes from the airport that will have anything you need. There is a grocery store about 20 minutes from the property, but it is a bit more expensive.
Get bug repellent. The house is near the jungle. Hawaii is in the tropics and there are mosquitos. You can get natural bug repellant at Walmart pretty cheap.
The property is located in a beautiful area of the island.
Keep in mind that it is not near shopping or dining places.
