The experience at this listing was amazing. From lots of towels (including beach towels), a fully equipped kitchen, pristine bathroom and bedroom, all the Tommy Bahama beach gear (chairs, umbrella and boards) to the peaceful lanai where I drank my coffee every morning and the amazing spot by the pool for sunset gazing. Can’t wait to go back and will for sure book this place again.
Loves the location great lava area right in front of the units where you can view blowholes and fish in the ocean!
Great location- easy walking distance to Kona.Well stocked kitchen( pots, pans etc)Kona makai is fairly quiet facility- if you like to party- probably not the place for you.

I had the most beautiful stay in Kailua Kona. The apartment was clean and very comfortable, with all the amenities you could ever need. The ocean views from the lānai are stunning! The apartment complex itself is calm, peaceful and very well-kept. The vacation rental management staff were helpful and pleasant to deal with. I would most certainly stay here again. As per location, it’s about 20 minutes of gentle coastal walk to the town, which I really enjoyed. There are plenty of souvenir and boutique-style shops, gorgeous restaurants and cafes. You don’t need to leave the area if you don’t want to, although I recommend you do, the Island is incredibly beautiful!

We found everything needed to be comfortable in this unit. We did gave an issue with the tub draining and someone was there and fixed it promptly! Loved the ocean view. We were able to see the whales from our lanai.

We loved the view, location and kind people around. Condominium was clean and comfortable for family of 4. We enjoyed the sunset form our balcony and pool ground every evening. Would recommend to others. The management was very helpful and responsive for all our questions and needs . Mahalo

The positives: This was the only place we stayed this visit that we didn't see cockroaches in the kitchen! The AC unit worked very well, and cooled it off immediately.They had a lot of nice stuff we could use, snorkel gear, cooler, chairs, umbrella. They had extra blow up mattress and bedding for our 5th guestNegatives:The spiral staircase was not convenient to carry luggage to the loft, the upper unit sleepers ended up leaving all their luggage in the main bedroom and changing in there. Its on the 3rd floor with no elevator, not a big deal, but it was tricky getting all of our gear and groceries in and out when we arrived and left.The previous renters left all the dishes disgusting! There were eggs in the pans put away in the cupboards etc. We had to rewash everything before we could use anything (no dishwasher). Totally not the fault of the management company, but really gross!There are SO MANY rules! Wasn't a big deal, because we didn't need to break any, but when you're walking around the property you are being watched like a hawk!
