This was one of our favorite properties to stay at! The condo was very spacious, kitchen had most of what we needed, and the views were beautiful. It was easy to get into, management was quick to respond whenever we needed anything. The community had easy parking and very quiet and relaxing environment. It was also very central to lots of food and shops. We would defiantly stay here again!!

We walked in and was pleasantly surprised ! Very clean it has everything. Even had things to take to the beach like chairs and ice chests. Great Washer and dryer with an iron ! Just like home ! It was very quiet and peaceful nice to have 2 decks We are already planning another trip and my sister wants to book 10 days as well ! I have no reason to check out other places , this condo has everything ! Very good commucation too , i love it when they ask you if everything is ok because you know they care ! Thank you ! !

This condo is definitely kept up well. The items in the kitchen make it very easy to do a quick breakfast every morning. The bed is extremely comfortable – – firm mattress with just the right amount of firmness. Kona Makai is in a very good location in Kailua Kona. This is our fourth visit to this area. There are ample towels in the unit.
Watching the sunset from the pool area is like looking at a postcard—simply BEAUTIFUL!!!
Knutson & Associates is quick to respond to any minor concerns that arise.
My wife and I stayed here for a week and it was a great base for us to explore the island. The property managers were communicative, efficient, and wanted us to have a good stay. Check in and check out went smoothly and the keypad entry saved us worrying about keys. There was some paperwork but it was routine.
The condo was clean and comfortable. We barely needed the AC but it was nice to have at night. The lanai was comfortable - I appreciated the fan - although the sea view was narrow. But it was also easy to sit by the pool or shoreline and enjoy the view; every evening there were a handful of people there to enjoy sunset with.
Other reviewers have mentioned strict property and pool rules but that was fine by us. None stopped other folks (including kids) from having fun in the pool or using the BBQs, and the evenings were quiet. And parking was always easily available.
The condo was great for a couple looking for a comfortable stay at a very reasonable price, and I would be glad to visit again.

VRBO includes a huge number of 'fees' including booking fee, a whopping $400+ 'other fees'. Knutson Associates adds to that - so that in the end, the fees nearly exceed the ACTUAL cost of the rent.The unit we rented was marketed as 'ocean front'. I wonder if anyone has actually visited the unit. The only view is of the units on the other side of the garden.It was a lovely place, I must say. Comfortable, airy, and, except for the kitchen, well equipped. There were 3 glasses (2 small and one tall) and one wine glass. The rest were poolside plastic tumblers. Plates and dishes were plentiful - if somewhat mismatched (expectedly, being a rental with short turn round renters). Cutlery was adequate but perhaps best described as 'variety pack'. Overall, though - we had a great time.
I do wish you had not listed this property as a OCEAN FRONT property. It has a thin sliver of a view of the ocean IF you lean over the railing in the lanai and cran your neck you may be able lucky. The main view is of the condos opposite the property.

Loved the push button entry! No keys to keep track of. Lovely bed, lots of pillows! Everything you need! Chairs, cooler, umbrella all here. Pool is wonderful( a zillion rules unfortunately posted) but very nice. Clean, great bbqs and area to eat by the ocean, lounges for sunset watching. 2 balconys!
