Was a really nice location and very quiet. If you like peace, quiet and and a beautiful place to watch the sunset then stay here. The room was nice and clean, the deck was a nice bonus and the grounds are very nice! Would definitely stay here again.

This unit was a perfect fit for my family's needs. It was clean and well maintained. It came fully stocked with extra towels, bedding and dishes. The ceiling fans were a big plus so that we didn't need to use the A/C. There was a nice garden and ocean view from the lanai with beautiful sunsets. We walked into town several times to browse and shop. We would definitely stay here again.

We absolutely love Kona Makai. This was a last-minute trip, and we usually try to book ocean front but found this little gem available. You could totally see the water and the amazing sunsets from the lanai. A little 30 second walk to the ocean front if you preferred to see it from there. The room was INCREDIBLE, and the property is immaculate. The remodel was stellar - honestly this was one of the nicest rooms we have ever stayed in across all our trips to Hawaii. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and would definitely recommend this room to friends and family if looking for a room that is less pricey than a true oceanfront. Also need to give 5 plus stars to Knutson and Team - we have booked with them multiple times and the service and check in is top notch! They really want your stay to be perfect! Mahalo for being part of an amazing week for us!
We really enjoyed our stay in Kona and enjoyed our accommodations. The condo was clean well stocked and would love the location and pool. The managers were renters anxious to have us happy and we’re easy to get hold of if we need anything. We would stay here again

It was great staying here. The area is quiet, clean and close to the shore.The condo was large for our family of 3, and we had all the needed tools, more than enough actually.Loved enjoying the breakfast on the large balcony, BBQing at the shore, using the very clean pool.I can only recommend this place, if you’re looking for somewhere to stay with quiet, close to nice sandy beaches, close to the center of Kailua, and so well equipped.

Information to be included with reservation and not by text!!! Posted within complex: " Information regarding departure guest clean-up." Now we are expected to do almost all cleaning. Wipe down glass tables etc. fridge stove etc. Remove all garbage and bottles. No definition for what is "Too Much " for housekeeper. Insulting to consumers who pay inflated cleaning fees. AS A CONSUMER- I expect furniture to be sanitized, free of debris, stains on cloth furniture and cushion covers, rugs cleaned of stains, shower curtain washed and no food behind stove, dryer vent cleaned and wall stains from insects removed. Nicely remodeled unit.Very nice remodeled unt.From the living room, bathroom and the bedroom, top notch. We thought it was quite spacious.. Have only one suggestion. We believe a table lamp on the east end of the couch would be a plus. We brought the lamp from the veranda in. Worked well for tv time. That is it. Thanks.
This was the perfect place for my husband and I to spend 6 days on the Big Island. We loved being close to downtown and all the restaurants and in a spot that had its own coastline access, pool, and hot tub. The place was super clean and the kitchen tools and beach gear was excellent. We also appreciated having plenty of parking and a gate at night for added security. We would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for a great place in Kona!
I was impressed with everything about this place. It is kept immaculate inside and out. The pool is warmer than most and the hot tub hits the spot. The grill and chill area right on the rocky beach is pretty epic. When I booked this place my only qualm was the carpet in the photos but that’s since been removed. Book it! Mahalo!
