This property is perfect in every way. Incredible location with all the amenities. Check in was smooth and seamless. The house was well stocked with everything you need for a extended or short stay. We used the downstairs unit as a pool cabana which worked out perfect for our family of 4. A/C in all the bedrooms made sleeping very comfortable. We highly recommend this unit and hopefully will return next year. Thank you Lynda and Craig for the wonderful vacation.Mahalo
This VRBO was perfect for our 3 family, first time in Hawaii vacation. In a quiet residential neighborhood, close to a beautiful beach, our large and open ‘home’ had all the amenities we could possibly need and more. Lynda and Jeff along with Terry were great hosts answering questions within minutes. Eating on the balcony and watching the sunsets were our favorite time of the day. Highly recommend a stay here.
Everything was perfect. House was as advertised, walking distance to 2 great beaches...one for amazing snorkeling! We would highly recommend staying at the Kona Lighthouse!!
Easy check-in process and a very accommodating property. Location was great for access to all activities on Kona side. Lots of pool toys and plenty of items were available for beach and snorkeling. Thank you for the high chair! That was an unexpected plus and we used it everyday! AC was a great plus for relaxed sleep. Fully equipped kitchen made it easy to keep a flexible schedule. Glad Terry was on property - she was delightful and offered information about local events.
A beautiful location with lots to do and see .
My wife and stayed here with our two kids and their spouses. Had a great time. Home is centrally located to any tours scheduled and close to some awesome restaurants and shopping. The owner was extremely accommodating to our late night flight. Whales and dolphins were visible off shore from the upper Lanai.
The house is in a great location. Lots of room to spread out. There were 7 of us. I will miss the sunsets from the balcony or across the road at the beach. We were lucky enough to see and hear the high surf. Beautiful.
This accommodated our family well; we were three generations (baby, 3 yr. old, teenager, 30-somethings and one senior). Everything we needed for a family that likes to cook was there. Plenty of paper products and a plethora of bathroom and beach towels! The garage had a supply of beach toys such as boogie boards, beach shoes, toys and even a wagon to haul it in. Such a roomy home with a wonderful deck from which we could watch surfers and enjoy the sound of the surf. Happy, happy memories.
Our hosts were very gracious to allow us to change our booking to come one day earlier (on Christmas Day) as flights were much cheaper to fly on Christmas. We stayed for 9 days and thoroughly enjoyed our home and the Big Island. The Kona Lighthouse is about 10 minutes south of Kona and only about 4 miles. Target, Walmart and Safeway are also about 10 minutes from the home. We stayed with our family of eight. We needed 4 bedrooms and 2 beds in at least one bedroom and Kona Lighthouse had this. You get a great view of the ocean from the balcony and kitchen area and can hear the waves crashing from the house. We didn't watch much tv, but we did watch our Minnesota Vikings and a couple of College Bowl games on their cable tv.The house had a lot of chairs inside and outside which helped our large family. The pool area is very nice and there were chairs that we could also bring to the beach in the garage. We grilled and had ample kitchen space to prepare many meals. Our 9 days went so fast as there is so much to do on the Big Island. Our hosts suggested Hapuna Beach and we spent our last day in the sun on that beautiful beach. I highly recommend Kona Lighthouse!!
Well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Did a lot of family cooking and grilling. 3 bathrooms, one with a grotto shower on the lower level. Grandsons loved it. Laundry worked great. Enough parking for 2 cars at least. Pool and beach toys with a wagon to haul them all. Beach is 2 blocks away. Plenty of beach towels. Onsite caretaker was wonderful. Not the Four Seasons, but very comfortable. Great place for 3 generations to enjoy Kona.
The grounds were beautiful with a large variety of plants, flowers and trees. A beautiful peaceful view of the ocean from upper lanai. Ample seating inside and outside, we had a group of 7 adults. The location was ideal, we were in Kona as spectators for the 2024 men’s IronMan race so we were only 20 min drive from the event. A short walk to the beach with a restaurant. The kitchen was fully supplied for meal prep. No kitchen table inside but it was fine for us.The ice maker in freezer was not working great but we just bought a bag of ice. Overall, it was an ideal place for us, we loved it! And we would very much enjoy to stay here again! Mahalo!
Fantastico! Location is great. Property is great for a group. Pool is so nice and the beach is close and safe. Well supplied. Livable and so relaxing. Water always hot. We had so much fun showing our friends Kona. Mahalo. Terry was very attentive and answered all questions..
Was so nice. Beautiful view, beautiful sunsets. Conveniently located. Lots of rooms and beds. Really appreciated extra gear in the garage for the beach. Lady downstairs was very helpful and friendly. Pool was such a nice alternative to have when the children didnt want to do the beach. Internet connection was great for the whole family.
Very comfortable home in a beautiful, safe neighborhood for our multigenerational group. Took a hot mug of Kona coffee down to the beach each morning and watched the body surfers catch the waves. Cleaning up at the end of a beach day was easy with the very private, hot shower outside. There was so much to enjoy on the island and the location was perfect for reaching all sites easily. We heartily recommend this property!
Perfect size and location. We loved that it is so close to all the activities we wanted to do. The view is amazing! The lanai was a wonderful spot to watch the sunset each night. We really enjoyed our stay here. Kitchen was well stocked and beds were comfortable. Pool was refreshing to cool off in. We would definitely stay gere again!
We stayed for Spring Break with our 2 children, another couple, and their daughter. The location was great for nearby beaches! Comfortable beds and well stocked kitchen. 5 stars all around!!
This rental was beyond our expectations. I have rented many times through VRBO and this place was the best equipped of any I have rented. The location was perfect. Lots of room for all us. The views from the deck were amazing. I wouuld definitely rent this place again.

The property was as presented in the VRBO listing. Everyone was happy with the facility and the ability to make use of extras such as snorkeling equipment and the boogie board.
The interior living area was clean and met or exceeded our expectations. The large outdoor deck was used extensively while enjoying the fine weather that we experienced and we particularly enjoyed the view of the ocean.
We would seriously consider returning to this property if we returned to Kona.
