The location, the view and the amenities are a amazing! But the only reason I hesitate to put the 5 star is because some of the appliances were old and the dishwasher was broken, it does need a revamp in some of the pans, kitchen utensils, fans and lighting fixtures.But if you aren’t staying inside too long is a great place!
Beautiful location, spectacular view!
We stayed for 4 nights the first week of August with our two children (11 & 18) and my parents. The kitchen and dining room were open and spacious (may need a bigger couch). The living/ dining area gives panoramic ocean views. THIS VIEW is stunning. The waves crash directly in front of you. The grounds were green and lush. The outdoor lanai seating was sturdy and relaxing. Foil and spices were provided along with zip locks, 2 rolls of paper towels, and grilling pans. Dishwashing liquid and pods available. *A few things that could be approved upon---There could have been a few more towels (bath and pool/beach towels) provided as we had to wash towels twice while we were there in a 4 day period.Carpets were older and had some staining/wear. AC is governed and will not go below 68/70. There is no ac vent/return in the bedroom directly off the kitchen/entry door. There were two auscultating fans provided that helped but didn't cool to our normal liking. It was however AUGUST. The proximity to Kona town is unmatched. You can walk to shops & restaurants within 10 minutes.Overall, we LOVED this rental. My parents visit Kona frequently and normally stay at the Royal Kona Resort (which is directly beside this condo) and have decided they would like to stay here from now on. Everything really was perfect, especially the location. We walked to everything, including our luau, the farmers market, local entertainment, and food. The view from the balcony was spectacular with not only beautiful rocks and water, but also lots of people on boogie boards and surfboards in the water. I really can’t recommend this place highly enough.
We loved our stay and the location was amazing. Sitting right on the ocean, the views and sounds were amazing. We witnessed the most glorious sunsets, and walked to town a couple times. The air conditioner and ceiling fans kept us comfortable and desk area was key for my husband being able to work as needed. The elevators were broken (which is no reflection on the owners of the unit) but it did make lugging our heavy luggage a task since it's on the 3rd floor. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

Ideal location, so easy to walk to the beach, shops and restaurants. Clean property with well stocked kitchen facilities. Quiet area with only the relaxing sound of the waves. Pool and hot tub are also clean. Only thing that would have helped is to label the switches. The track lights in the master bedroom and fan in master bathroom were not working.
Condo was spacious. Best attribute was large porch overlooking the pacific and hearing the waves 24/7. Condo is dated and appliances are old. and was sort of dark inside. Great location and easy walk to dozens of shops, restaurants, and bars. 15 minutes from the airport. The location could not be any better.
Corner unit overlooking the ocean on one side and pool on the other. Easy access to Kailua Kona.
Great location next to ocean. Had a great stay. Only complaints were 1. The bathroom vent in the bathroom near the washer/dryer was plugged with dust and needs to be cleaned. 2. In the letter for incoming things to be aware of, it stated there was an “outdoor hose” to use to wash off beach sand. It would have been helpful to know exactly where it was and it was to locate.
Roomy condo had everything we needed. Amazing view, great location, comfortable inside and out on the lanai. Really really pleased. Even a nice desk if you HAD to work. Good beach accessories stashed in the closet: noodles, mats, chairs, boards, umbrella, cooler, fins and goggles too. I should re-book for next year now that I think about it...
This property needs an a really good cleaning and update. Carpets are very very dirty. Outlets in two of the bathrooms do not work. Other things were also broken-lights and blinds. Home is dark at night time. Dining fan can not be turned on without the light and the light and fan cause a strobe light effect which is not good on the eyes. AC was broken -property managment was help with this issue and gave us a discount. Could not find parking pass for two days. The patio and view is beautiful and window view of the ocean is also nice. Management company is good to work with.
Kona Reef was the perfect accommodation for my family: myself, spouse and 3 adult women, The view is fantastic.
Sunsets and morning coffee was beautiful. The condo is easy walk to shops and restaurants. Condo was clean, well appointed and very conferrable.
We had a wonderful time. Everything we planned exceed our expectations. Beautiful location and the condo couldn't have been more perfect. Great location for walking downtown. Will definitely recommend and hopefully return one day to enjoy again. Mahalo!!
Fabulous location, incredible view of ocean and wildlife. Walking distance to everything! Condo was perfect with the exception of sub par air conditioning. First day was the worst as it was really hot in the unit. If you need really cool AC this may not be the spot for you. We had a fabulous time!
The condo has a wonderful lanai and view of the ocean. Loved hearing the ocean all night. There are several light switches that dont operate anything and several lamps/lights that dont work off a switch. The AC in the dining room wasnt working in the dinning room and we had a repair guy in the unit for several hours and it couldn't be fixed. We also had the water shut off for an entire day. The pool is nice. Parts of it are dated but overall its a clean, quiet nice place to stay. The lanai is worth staying here for. The unit was stocked with books, family games, beach necessities etc. The kitchen is very nicely stocked. The unit is a nice place to stay and I would absolutely stay again.
Location was great and the view breathtaking. Was fantastic to have provided beach supplies (chairs, umbrellas, towels, snorkel equipment, sand Mattes) for beach/pool days.
Great condo, for us and our two grown boys and their girlfriends. The location is great for walking into town, great patio to watch the sunset and totally enjoyed the pool/hot tub/grill area.
We had a lovely time at this location! This condo had the best ocean view!
3 bed condo right on the ocean with huge sliding glass doors that open up the whole living room and dining to the fresh ocean breezes. Highly recommend
