The experience was fabulous. The condo is clean, great communication with the owner and well stocked with spices, oils, beach supplies, etc. I would highly recommend this condo and Kona Makai. This is my second time here and would come back again! Thank you for the hospitality! A nice walk into town also!

You can walk into Kona from here in about 30 mins. We opted for a rental car and it worked for us. We were able to cook most of our own meals while staying here. The property has some nice loungers for sunset viewing. The beach access is rocks, not sand, but that's very typical of Kona anyway. There was lots of beach towels, snorkels, flippers and other beach items we needed, so that was very useful. The only thing I felt was missing was a pancake griddle and a cutting board.
The property was accurately described and had all the amentities needed for our stay. The location was great and close to the beach and within 15 min of the airport. The beds were comfortable and it was spacious for our group.
Exceeded our expectations. Beautiful condo, well equipped, comfortable beds, good water pressure, incredible views. Would return in a heart beat. Thanks for helping make our trip to the Big Island such a success!

Great place to rent. We were very impressed by how well-equipped the kitchen was since we cooked a lot there. We also appreciated all the water "toys" and beach equipment. It is a very nice apartment.
We enjoyed our stay. Condo is conveniently located with short drive to downtown Kona and all beaches.
Perfect for what we needed. Lovely sunrise views and nice to have a pool and cookout evening! Coffee and tea in walking distance. Kona is a nice walk in to town and beach access. Snorkel in 5 minutes! Farmers markets galore!

Good location, well furnished with comfortable beds. Kitchen has everything you could need to cook. Pool area was great, could hear the ocean while swimming.

I love everything about it the only thing that I did not like was the dryer didn’t dry at all we have to go to laundry to do our clothes. But everything else was good I love the place and view
The condo itself was a little dark and probably could use some updated furnishings. It was pretty clean but could have been a bit better. Having hot water to shower was hit or miss. It was spacious and the kitchen was well stocked. The washer worked well but the DRYER was ventless and USELESS!!! On our last night we encountered a giant COCKROACH and the next morning we saw 2 CENTIPEDES! We were always able to find a parking space but the tennis courts are very low-beware in an suv. The property as a whole had beautiful landscaping, a beautiful new pool area, gas grills and an amazing view from the pool deck. Only .75 miles down the road was a ton of great restaurants and some shopping! We did not have any contact with the management team.
