Wonderful location. Convenient access to stores, golf, the ocean, restaurants, pool, airport, and volcano. All in a luxury-grade room with high-end appliances, comfortable beds, and a spacious lanai with a great grill.
Unit was quiet, clean and comfortable with beautiful furniture in great condition. Easy A-bay beach access. If I need a two-bedroom in the future I will stay here.
Everything was exactly as advertised. Location was great. Proximity to Marriott or Hilton conventions give you a great non-hotel option. We hope to be back at a future date.
Had everything you could wish for. Nice and quiet.

The stay was great. Easy, close to pools, beaches and restaurants. There were a lot of toys (sand toys, boogie boards, snorkles, etc) in the condo which was a nice bonus.
Overall, had a real good time at the property. Had a couple of minor issues (low propane for BBQ, dishwasher issues), but the property manager was very responsive. The property was well furnished and included boogie boards and other assorted pool/recreational items. Pool and ocean are both easily accessible. Shopping and dining are also very close. Note that quiet hours start rather early at 8:00pm and the pool closes at 9:30pm. It's nice that reserved covered parking is also included.

Nice property, very good kitchen supplies setup; however the advertisement picture was somehow misleading -taken under an angle to show a partial ocean view... Instead, facing full front another building ( since no blinds in the living room - no privacy at all there plus very bright in the room at night) The most annoying thing - AC was so loud it woke us up each time AC turned ON, sounded like a plane taking off. Pool staff did not take any actions when the rules of the pool (noise, diving, kids screaming their heads off) were broken. One day pool was even closed as someone pooped in the pool. Very different from our previous stays at Kolea.
We enjoyed this beautiful property. It looked just like the photos, clean, roomy, and great lanai. Close to everything and in walking distance.
The week went by so fast. There was so much to do from the location. Beaches restaurants shopping. We drove to Hilo and visited volcano. Our condo was perfect. Immaculate. Amenities were just as advertised. We hung out at the pool every evening too.
We had a great stay at this property on a recent trip to Hawaii with family. It accommodated 4 adults very easily, with plenty of space. The property was clean and had everything we needed for cooking onsite. I would recommend this spot to others looking for a convenient location walking distance to the beach. We also enjoyed the small pool area to relax at in the afternoons/early evenings.
Communication was easy and quick with the property manager.
We absolutely loved our stay at Kolea. The grounds and the property itself were gorgeous and had every amenity you could ask for. The *only* thing we would have liked to see is a bigger fitness center. Other than that, no complaints!!
This is our second time booking a Kona coast property via VRBO. I cannot say enough good things about Kona Coast property management. They are super responsive and check in with you periodically to see how things are doing. Love love love!!!
