Location, location, location! It was so nice to have such great access to beautiful Keawakapu Beach right next door as well as shops, restaurants and several other great beaches within walking distance. The unit itself was clean, quiet and well stocked with a lovely lanai. The lawn, pool and BBQ facilities were accessible and not crowded. We wpild definately stay here again!
Loved Kihei Surfside. Our unit and the property in general were great. The location can't be beat if you like being in the ocean.
Unit had a comfortable bed, a nice living and dining area, and a well stocked kitchen.
The outdoor patio was where we spent most of our time in the unit. Great ocean view and big enough to use for dining.
The unit had some games and equipment and the property managers also supplied beach chairs.
Employees were all nice and friendly.
This unit was right by the elevator which made it great for bringing stuff up and down. I didn't notice extra noise because of this location.
From the property, you can walk south to a beach that is over a mile long. Just to the north is the boat ramp that many companies use for trips or on the water.
You do need to drive to most restaurants.
Great vacation stay. Can't think of any negatives and would stay again.
Wonderful location, walking distance to pristine beaches. Unit itself could stand some updating and glass cleaning on the lanai but overall would stay again for the location.
The condo was great. The pictures of the place were exactly as we found. Very much impressed and the view was spectacular. Our first time staying on this side of the island, and we were not disappointed. We would definitely consider staying here again!

I stayed at unit 307 with my great nephew during his spring break. Reserved the condo through a Hawaiian airlines vacation package. I typically stay at the Grant Wailea, but since it was spring break, the rates were atrocious so chose to stay at a condo instead. This little unit has so much potential, but is very dated. I don't want to sound like a total princess, but I would probably not stay here again for a few reasons. The biggest issue, but is in the process of being fixed, is that there is no air conditioning. I had read previous reviews about the Kihei Surfside, and specifically this unit so I was aware there was no air conditioning. Some comments made by other guests stated there was somewhat of a breeze to make it comfortable to sleep at night. I did not find this to be the case at all! Air conditioning is coming soon, so that will be a great solution. However, the furniture is very dated and uncomfortable. The mattress and linens were a big problem. Linens were starting to have pilling and were mismatched (there's the Princess in me). There are some minor holes in the walls in the bedroom that could easily be patched up and repainted. The bathroom was recently remodeled and is fine. Bathroom towels were very nice. The kitchen was also remodeled. The dishes were also mismatched and plastic wine glasses were melted from dishwasher use but still in the cabinets. Cookware and dishes are also mismatched. Pros: probably the most gorgeous views ever and so close to the ocean. The gentleman at the front desk was very nice and helpful and told us where to rent water toys next-door. There is also a general store at the condos close by that is easy to get supplies if you need something quick. Most of the parking was shaded and very easy to maneuver. We didn't use the washer/dryer, but it was available. There is a beautiful lawn associated with the condos for friends and family gatherings. As I said, this place has so much potential, but really need some attention!!

February 2023 stayed at Surfside 4 other times and rooms were much cleaner than this one. Ceiling fan, floors, walls, some cooking pans and microwave vents very dirty.
The location of this condo couldn’t be better. We absolutely loved it. The unit was stocked with everything we needed. We’ll be coming back!

All in all the property location is the main reason we stay there again and again. Unfortunately the individual rentals unit are dated and need some attention. 307 in particular had tv wires hanging from the bedroom wall and the smoke detector was missing in the hallway. We could not even use the blender because it smelled so bad that we threw it out and bought a new one for the unit. The bed headboard as so loose that every time one of us moved in the night it squeaked or banged against the wall, we finally put a towel between the wall and the head board to stop it. There wasn’t a sharp knife in the drawers but there were plenty of utensils. The frying pan was warped and the handles was broken. We purposely rent a unit with a kitchen so we can eat in at least once per day. We had to buy our own beach towels? The pool, BBQ and adjacent part are wonderful.
