Comfy bed, good view. Pool was great, hot tub was too hot. Beach was rocky. Overall good place to stay.
Unit is big and well laid out. It is as described in the ad. No in unit laundry which some people prefer but laundry facilities are on site. Short walk down to the beach. Pool and hot tub close at 9pm and they follow it strictly. In the past we have stayed more in the center of Kihei. This area is much quieter and less people on the beach. The downside is there isn't as much within walking distance for restaurants and stores. (its not a far drive but some people prefer to just walk) If your looking for quiet this is the place, If your looking to be in the middle of everything you will want to go further down the road closer to Kamaole beach Park 2. The company was great to deal with and answered questions right away. Overall a great place to stay.
From start/end of booking, we had no issues. When we got into the room everything was good, tell we started to notice things. When you’re paying over what you pay you think they would change there air filter (thing doesn’t look like it has been changed in an hot minute) and not have dust balls all around the room/condo. If I could attach a picture of the filter I would, but it won’t let me or I don’t see a link for it. Other than that everything else was ok. It had everything we needed for the week to get us started, then we had to buy our own paper towels/toilet paper/trash bags. Just little things you would think they could provide as they are a big business.
Great little condo with ocean, garden views. Familiar with kauhali Makai, cute smaller complex. Really enjoyed the 300 restaurant gift card at Cafe o' lei
We loved staying at this property! From the kitchen and living room are ocean views; if you head to the patio it affords views of Haleakalā! Nice pool and well manicured property.
This isn't a luxe resort, and it's not perfect, but the grounds were well maintained and in a safe area. The unit is dated, but you're not in Maui for a fancy kitchen!
I would stay here again. The bed, the bathroom, even the couch were great and that is hard to find. The room lacks things like travel cups, boogie boards, snorkel gear, or soft sided beach coolers. The curtains in both the living room and bedroom are in desperate need of professional cleaning. The threshold in the glass slider is a broken mess. The hot water temperature straight out the faucet will burn human skin and needs to be turned down. The cleaning supplies closet has come loose and is leaning pretty hard. There really is no view off the balcony due to the tree that has grown up. And yet, yes I would stay here again tomorrow. You just need to know what you are getting into. That bed, couch, and shower made up for all that was lacking!
This place has a great location. We love staying in Kihei, especially at Village by the Sea apartments. The apartment has a lot of potential to be better. I can tell that the property owner put in effort to make it look better, but whoever is managing the rentals is not doing a good job. The apartment was not clean; the dishes were used and probably just rinsed and put away, the curtains were dirty and ripped, the boards around the apartment were dirty, and some of the kitchen cabinets looked like they were falling apart. We ended up cleaning the apartment to feel comfortable, and the food that we bought to make breakfast was not used because I did not feel comfortable using the dishes. The toilet was leaking water. You can't see the beach from the balcony, which is not bad, just in case someone wants to know.
Nice condo for the money! Our flight got in late and it was hard to identify the building because the signage was not good. There are a few things in the condo that need to be updated, but overall it was comfortable and had everything we needed. We really liked the complex and location. We would stay here again.
