Beautiful condo, great views and location
Beautifully furnished condo with lovely views. Great pool and bbq area, nice walking distance to the beach and a few local food establishments and businesses.
Wonderful location to rest and experience Maui. Could stay within 3 miles or drive an hour 2, either way you’d have something new to try almost daily. Food and a calm area where I could snorkel or hike was what I was going for and this spot was perfect for all. Home is clean, bright, and the perfect size for a couple.
Condo updated, and bed comfy, but slider door to lanai wouldn't open, living room is dark, needs more light, shower slow to drain until we cleaned hair out. Otherwise a nice place to stay.
We love the clean look of this condo and it’s large enough for couples. The bacony has an amazing view and it’s easy to get around the area. There is enough parking space and the grounds and bbq area are very well maintained. Everything looks very clean and organized.

This is a cute, modern condo that is actually larger and nicer than the photos show! It came pretty well equipped with beach towels, chairs, umbrella, and cooler, which were super useful. Lots of towels and supplies as well as a nicely stocked kitchen. The complex itself is laid out nicely and the pool area was fun!The down side was the place could use a better cleaning. I saw a photo of a filthy fan in one of the reviews, and that is still not corrected, as the scary fan is still right there. Also all of the vents are incredibly thick with dirt. The dishes and pots are not looked at after the previous tenants because there was a lot of food stuck on them and the blender wasn’t cleaned. Over all though this was an excellent stay for us! We enjoyed our time and it was all in a great area too!

This property has the best view I could hope for, we were able to watch the wales from our deck. Bed was a little softer than I like, but I slept well in it. The kitchen was accessorized well, but could use a couple of spatchalas: a plastic one for flipping pancakes and a metal one for the gril out side. Condo was clean, although the floor had not been wet moped. My white socks turned brown within 20 minutes of arrival. It could use a couple more towels as there is not a washer or dryer in the condo and we didn’t come on vacation to spend hours doing laundry. Over all, It was a great experience and I look forward to coming back. Property management was easy to communicate with. Loved the place.

We enjoyed our stay at Kauhale Makai. Our room was clean and the view was breathtaking. The location is very close to shops, food trucks, beautiful beaches and restaurants. The pool was very relaxing and the nunber of grills was very convenient.
Our second time in this building, different unit.
We love our time in Hawaii, and appreciate the community aloha wherever we go. We aren't overly picky, and overall this unit is okay. I would equal it to a 2 star hotel on the mainland.
The pros: great location, great grounds (pool, hot tub, lawn), short walk to beach.
The cons: it feels a little sparse in the unit, not very inviting. It also has a smell, musty in a more than this is the tropics way. AC is pretty old, so perhaps it's that. The standup fan provided was the most disgusting fan I have seen, we never used it. The bed was broken, and yes as another person said: has a topper so it's incredibly soft. But overall, the unit felt pretty dingy to us.
To be very fair, we let the property manager know all the issues and they replied they would update/fix things right away, so I'm hoping the next folks found the unit to be in much better condition.
Great condo and location for our short stay in Maui! The location was perfect for our day trip plans and still allowed beautiful sunset views!

This review is for Kauhale Makai #324 Plumeria Bldg. I found this complex on Tripadvisor and I wasn't sure about it as I hadn't seen anyone talking about it on any Maui forums. Let's just say it is a very well kept secret. The complex is beautiful, the grounds are impeccably maintained, the grills, the pools and the hot tub were lovely. The unit was so much better than I expected. The photos don't really do it justice. It's small but very cozy for a couple! It's not fancy or loaded with amenities but it has what you need and it's very comfortable and was immaculately clean. The view is outstanding! We so appreciated the beach supplies and used them quite a bit. The property MGMT company was so nice and easy to work with. If we come back to Maui, we will absolutely book this place again!
Great ocean views, close to restaurants and shops. Easy access to roads leading to sights on the island. Beautifully maintained condo and property. I would highly recommend staying at this location.
We stayed here over new years when there were not a lot of available properties, so our options were limited. We arrived at the 4 pm check in time (which is incredibly late) and the cleaner was still there. The place is a lot dingier than the photos indicate and I would recommend other accommodations if they are available.
The advertisement was accurate. Very nice location and good dining options nearby. The bathroom needed some updating and improvements. The feral roosters outside usually helped to make sure you didn't sleep too long in the mornings. Ocean can be seen from the balcony and beach is not far away.
Better than I could have hoped for … completely updated, very clean, fully stocked and amazing view!
