Overall, the home was very comfortable and very close to the beach. The bed was comfortable and there was a lot of nice homey touches. There is both air conditioning and ceiling fans. I prefer fresh air and loved the ceiling fan quality and found it quite uselful. The kitchen is well stocked with essentials. From an aesthetic standpoint the couch is dated and the shower could have been a little cleaner. For the price I paid I felt like this was a great option to meet my needs. And although my kids weren't with me on this trip I appreciated that there were sand toys available. The community area also has umbrellas and chairs that can be used easily if you want the beach view without the sand. Lastly I have to say I really liked the nice gift bag touch with Hawaiian snacks and the nut Lei.
This spot has been perfect for my husband and I every time we’ve stayed here. The owners of the complex are so sweet and inviting, as well. A little care package on the counter when we arrived just put things over the top for us! We will always book this room when we visit Maui.
Proximity to the beach, and the people gathering at sunset to watch the sun go down with the blowing of the conch shell
Condo was very dated. Kitchen was stocked fairly well, however the pans were dented and there wasn’t enough to cook a full meal. Bed in this unit was terrible. The condo had carpet which smelled musty. This condo would be fine for a night or two, but if you have a longer stay then look elsewhere.
The good. You’re a few steps from the beach, which is great for early morning or sunset swims. There are 4 beach towels and enough bath towels for 4 people. There are 2 beach chairs. The wifi works well, so does the a/c. The Vacasa team responds to calls /texts about issues.
The bad. The boogie board is falling apart. The amenity description also says there’s water sports gear…which I’m guessing is the one pair of goggles in the cleaning closet (?). The community pool is dirty. There’s no way I would take my kids for a dip in that pool.
The gnarly. This property is supposed to be good for 4 guests. The pull out sofa bed had a sign from Vacasa saying it’s broken. I called and was told there’s an air mattress in the closet! Not sure about anyone else, but air mattresses are so not comfortable. All 4 of us ended up sleeping on the king bed every night, for 4 nights. Our kids are 7 and 11 years old. If we came with teen-agers, this place would not have worked for us. That pull out sofa should be replaced before this place is rented out again.
We loved that this unit was 60 steps from the beach. The unit was pretty average. We had issues with the living room ac unit leaking water all over the patio. The maintenance came by and disconnected the tube and put a trash can underneath it. There was a small leak in the back of the fridge that we had to put a bowl under it. Also most of the stay the unit below us was being renovated, so it was not very quiet until after 9 pm. That being said, I know theres nothing that can be done about that. We will probably use vacasa again in the future.
Very nice one-bedroom rental well managed by Vacasa. 50 feet to the beach and you can hear the ocean waves during sleep. It has all the cooking appliances, utensils and dining wares you will ever need if you want to cook your own meals. Grocery stores are just ~2 miles away. A big cooler, two beach chairs and plenty of towels are provided. Bathroom is very clean. The king bed is quite comfy. Beach-view breakfast at sunrise on its spacious balcony is a memorable experience. We had a wonderful time staying here for our 1-week vacation in Maui. Highly recommend!
