Aloha! We are Julie and Randy and welcome to our home! We want you to enjoy the fantastic ocean views and luxury of our 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom condo in Wailea Elua Village - a gated, 24-acre, oceanfront community on beautiful Ulua Beach in Maui.
Please note, due to a change in the Maui County Fire Code, individual lanai BBQs are no longer allowed at Elua Village. However, community BBQs are available at the two pool areas, as well as other locations throughout the property.
In October 2019, we completed a 6-month, top-to-bottom, remodel of our condo! All the windows and sliding lanai doors were replaced, and we even added another sliding door in the living room to expand the ocean view! All the flooring was replaced with beautiful porcelain plank tile (inside as well as out on the lanai). Both shower enclosures were also renovated with the porcelain tile. We basically took the condo "down to the studs", rebuilt it, and the result is amazing! Please check out all the updated photos of the "new" Elua 701. Our condo is now even more beautiful than our existing 160, five-star Traveler Reviews indicate!
You should also know that our listing is one of the few truly “by owner” Wailea Elua Village properties on VRBO and HomeAway. Believe it or not 85% of the Elua Village listings on these sites are managed and operated by vacation rental management companies on Maui, where a guest will have no interaction with the actual owner of the condo. In contrast, Julie and I personally handle and manage every single VRBO and HomeAway inquiry and booking for Elua 701. If you book our condo, or send an email to ask a question, you will interact directly with us, not a management company. After all, isn’t VRBO supposed to be Vacation Rental “BY OWNER”?
Our home (Elua 701) is perfectly situated in the center of the Wailea Elua Village property. We are only 150 yards from Ulua beach -- just a 90 second walk to the sand and the world famous 2-mile Wailea Beach Walk that connects all the beachfront resorts along the stunning South Maui shoreline. Our condo is centrally located to the upper pool and Jacuzzi area, tennis court and putting green, as well as the newly remodeled and absolutely beautiful lower pool and pavilion area (which is right next to the beach). Additionally, since our condo is in the middle of the village we are far away from all the road noise of Wailea Alanui Drive which runs along the back of the property. Thus, whether you are relaxing inside our home or outside on the large lanai all you can hear is the surf, the birds, and the breeze in the palms.
From the moment you walk in the door of Elua 701, you will feel at home in our remodeled condo. You will see the quality touches from the granite counter tops to the cool tile flooring. The open floor plan of the main living area includes the well-stocked gourmet kitchen, the dining area with a bar and chilled wine locker, the expansive living room with an additional sitting area, and an entertainment center with a 58-inch Samsung Smart 4K UHD television and a Sonos soundbar system system -- all with a fantastic ocean view.
The lanai off of the living room is huge, adding over 400 square feet of outdoor space to the already spacious 1260 square feet interior area of our condo. This outdoor space is partially covered so there is always sun or shade available. The lanai also provides two lounges, and a comfortable outdoor dining area for six people. Additionally, there is an intimate bar-height table for two that is truly a special place for morning coffee and evening drinks at sunset.
The Master Suite features a new extra-large 'California King' bed, high-thread-count sheets and bedding, 40-inch Vizio Smart 4K television, and over-sized spa bath towels. The large, ocean view, second bedroom also has new 'California King' with high-thread-count sheets, 40-inch Vizio Smart 4K television, and over-sized spa bath towels in the adjacent bathroom.
Since this is truly a 'by owner' property, you will receive owner-direct pricing. You will also find our home is lovingly cared for with the greatest attention to detail. Our guests also receive exceptional personal attention throughout the entire inquiry and booking process as well as during their stay in our home, which is something they might not receive from a property that is not directly managed and cared for by the owner. While Julie and I personally handle and manage all details of your booking, we also have the support of a guest services company on Maui that provides the cleaning and maintenance services required to maintain the high standards we insist upon. The support of this company is available to our guests during their stay in Elua 701 should there be a question or issue that Julie and I cannot immediately answer or resolve from our home in California.
Please note the Wailea Elua Village Homeowner’s Association requires a minimum stay of 5 nights for all vacation rentals, and we do not offer daily maid service.

Beautiful! We've stayed at a few condos in Wailea Elua over the years and none were as beautiful as this. Randy and Julie provide everything you need to feel right at home. The grounds are well- maintained and gorgeous. I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in the future. Thank you!!

Seasoned Maui lovers on our 7th visit. We've stayed all over the island from Upcountry to Kapalua to Hana and Wailea. While they all have their charms, Wailea is the perfect mixture of beautiful beaches, golf courses, and with facilities and restaurants all in easy walking distances. We love the area and this condo was even better than advertised. A spectacular property with all the comforts of home and then some. Beautiful views, well decorated and a great lanai for lounging and sunsets. Will be back.
Your condo was lovely! Impeccably clean, well stocked, so nicely decorated. It Had everything needed for a home away. Including small things like a water cooker and ziplock bags 👏and I Loved the electric blinds :) I found the binder and all specifics for the condo inside easily. … Oh and the gate keepers were all friendly:) Check out was smooth. Would definitely recommend to others.
We were able to rent Randy's property for our 2 son's and their girlfriends to celebrate pappa's 60th birthday. It was clean and classy. It is exactly as described to be and they are very very responsive and went above and beyond to provide recommendations. We look forward to booking again in our future travels to Maui.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The condo is very very nice with high end touches. The entire property is beautiful. This condo has great pool and beach access. It is also close to shops and restaurants.
Loved the thoughtfulness that went behind each detail in this home. It made our stay feel that much more comfortable. Great location to just chill around the beach or by the pool and yet central to visit other areas on Maui. Beautifully maintained both outside on grounds as well as interior.
We loved the great care that the owners have taken in decorating this home with such special items. We cooked a few times for dinner and ate breakfast on the lanai every morning. The kitchen is fabulous and they have thought of everything that a cook needs. The beds are also very comfortable, and it is such a quiet, peaceful location. The closets are also roomy and thoughtfully laid out and the bathrooms are well designed. The main pool is perfectly located by the beach, and I snorkeled at the beach almost every morning. Lots of turtles! We also snorkeled at Ahihi Nature Preserve and that was special. The people volunteering there were great. The hidden gem is definitely the private overlook down the path from the condo and we spent almost every evening there watching the sunset. Check in was very easy and clear. The crew who run the condo are just first rate all the way around. We've been going to Maui since 2000 and this was our first time to rent a condo. Our last two trips we stayed in Wailea but at hotels including the Hotel Wailea, the Four Seasons and the Andaz. Frankly, you get so much more bang for your buck at your wonderful condo. And you have laundry facilities handy! I visited Iao Valley State Monument for the first time and that was neat and a nice drive. On the way back, we stopped at the Maui Plantation, which was unexpectedly delightful. We ate at Hali'imaile General Store three times -- it's my favorite place to eat in Maui!
This is a beautifully designed condo.My wife and I appreciated the island style furnishings, the artwork and the well-stocked kitchen and wine area. We had our breakfast every morning on the lanai and took in the ocean views. At night we sat out and watched the stars. I really enjoyed having the beach so close. We left feeing refreshed.
