We love the Kihei Akahi complex.
This was the second time that we have rented this condo, and we have already reserved it for our next trip. The condo's layout and furniture are wonderful (especially the bed), and the lanai is sheltered from direct sun all day. The location is perfect for us, with beautiful gardens, 2 pools, BBQs that are spotless, a snorkel and paddle boarding beach with lifeguards just across the street, and great options for restaurants and bars within walking distance. We hope to stay in this rental for many years to come.
Quick 3 day stay but it was perfect. Had everything needed. Quiet building, comfy bed, easy walking to beach, shops and restaurants. Quick response from team on my forgotten entry code and then locking myself out. Impressed how quick got back to me. Just book it you wont regret it.
Close to a beautiful beach, food trucks.
We used the place for a short 3-day stay on Maui where most of our time was spent out sight-seeing or on the beach, so this was all we needed however we did run into some issues. The kitchen and living area were very nice. We also very much enjoyed being able to walk to restaurants and the beach! The place was well stocked with so many beach items, sports equipment etc. We unfortunately had some issues regarding lack of attention from the cleaning company (and we were not able to use the laundry, however, I assume this is hopefully a one-time issue). We were hoping for a bit more of a response regarding this issue as well, as we were counting on the wash machine. The host did offer to have someone come out to fix/clean but the timing was just inconvenient especially with such a short stay.
The location was great, close to resturaunts and beaches. The unit is on the 6th floor and with the trade winds it sounded like a wind tunnel in the bed room. Fortunately that was only in the afternoons. There are 2 reccomnedations I would make; curtains in the living room and change the shower floor. The unit faces south so the sun glares into the unit and there is not privacy w/out the curtains. The floor of the shower is pebbles and is uneven which hurt our feet.
The management team was reponsive to most of our issues.
Trust the high ratings for this condo—it is amazing. The lanai stays shaded all day for you to enjoy. The owners had a great assortment of beach gear and the furniture is high quality. Loved the design choices. Finally, you will not want to sleep in your bed at home after you sleep in the condo’s beautiful king size bed. We’ve already booked for next year!
We really enjoyed the location of Kihei Akahi. Close to three great beaches, restaurants, and coffee shops. The condo was well equipped and clean.
One Word, LOVE!!!!, First time to Maui with Gazillion options, bumped into this condo and it was God sent. Perfect for my husband and I. Easy and friendly check in, walk to the beach for incredible sunsets. Owner Miss Linda was very friendly and communicative. It actually felt as if I was staying over in a family's home instead of a rental. That is how comfortable and flawless it was. Great size king size bed, great living area and kitchen. Coffee out on the patio felt like a dream.... Already searching for airline tickets planning our second trip. I would give it 10 stars if I could.
The condo was lovely and so close to everything!
My fiancé and I were visiting Maui for my best friends destination wedding. Last minute, we found out we would be able to get extra days off of work so we could extend our stay. I reached out to the property manager and she was amazing. It was so nice to be able to add an extra day so last minute. We loved the property! It was perfect. So close to the beach, so many food options, and we even played at the tennis courts. I really have no complaints! My fiancé and I will definitely be staying here next time we visit Maui.
