Place was as described! Everything you need within walking distance, there is no need to leave this place. If you are looking for a relaxing time this would be the place.
Photos provided by host are accurate. Place is as described with plenty of beach toys and equipment in activity closet. Kauai is a beautiful island that is less developed but enough to entertain the kids. The beach view is great from the living room and balancing. Beach is right there and kids loved it. Didn’t need to use the pool at the club because the beach was perfect each day, even on a partial rainy day. Host was very informative and communicative. Happy with our stay.
We have stayed at the Kiahuna Plantation in other units before. This was the best with a great location and a beautiful view. It was very comfortable and we had everything we needed. The owner was very helpful communicating before our stay which was nice. We’d definitely recommend staying here!

This unit retains its historic charm while still being modern enough to make us feel right at home! And the view just makes everything better! We really enjoyed the grounds, especially the orchid and cactus gardens. We just got home, and we're already looking forward to our next visit!

This property is just a minute walk to the beach and has everything you would need: boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrellas, beach towels (available daily from the beach hut). We had a great stay!
We were on Kauai to look at properties, so not a typical vacation stay. The unit is in a great location with a wonderful ocean view across a manicured lawn. A comfortable, well-maintained one-bedroom unit with a small kitchen that was fine for our purposes on this visit but a bit small if you are planning to do a lot of cooking. Noise travels on the property. Be aware that you are likely to hear the inevitable early rising noise from young children who have not adjusted to the time change from the mainland, especially if you are renting during the holiday or spring break seasons. A membership to the Poipu Beach Athletic Club is included. The club is a short walk from the unit. We workout at the PBAC whenever we are on Kauai and love the facility.

Nice unit, but needs some upgrades. Bathroom showing its age. Front shutter on right side gets stuck in place. Most open/close mechanisms on shutters are hard to use. Some don’t work at all.Only one lounge chair on deck was also disappointing.
We found everything we needed for our stay here, including a great view and a comfortable feel.
This was our fourth stay and our favorite unit at the Kiahuna Plantation. Comfortable, excellent view, very well supplied in the kitchen and beach locker with everything we could possibly use to make our stay more enjoyable. Loved the lanai. The beach chairs were much appreciated.
Overall we loved the property, the view and the beach. Check in was a breeze, the bed was comfortable and location was wonderful. The place is on the older side and could use freshening up but it’s classic Kauai and a tropical island so we enjoyed the comfort and the view and did not mind that it was a little outdated. Overall we were very happy and it met our expectations. Worth booking!
This is the best condo we have stayed at in kiahuna so far. (4 in total.)While it is not as modern as some of the other newly renovated ones, it has that true Hawaiian vibe throughout from artwork to furniture. Fully stocked kitchen with everything you need! Comfy bed too. The view of the ocean is all you see as you walk through the front door and the short walk to the beach is great. It gave us the best aloha feel and we will always book this condo from now on.
We (husband and I with daughters ages 12 and 14)stayed at this exceptional property for 5 nights in August on our first trip to Kauai. The condo and its location exceeded our expectations. It is a one minute walk from the unit to stunning Kiahuna beach, and we had to tear our girls away from the ocean(swimming, snorkelling, body boarding and surfing) to visit other sights on the island. The view from the balcony is lovely and seemingly one of the best in the complex.
The condo was well equipped with everything you might need, from beach supplies to a fully stocked kitchen and lots of closet/drawer space. The girls were very comfortable on the pull out couch and the king bed in the bedroom was lovely. The fans and fully screened windows and patio door were a welcome alternative to A/C and we were always comfortable. The owner went above and beyond with suggestions for restaurants in the area and assistance with any of our questions.
My only hesitation in recommending this condo is I would like it to be available for our next trip to Kauai! Thanks so much to Chuck and family for having us.
The owner and staff at Castle Resort are very responsive and helpful. You cannot beat the location and use of the sports club across the street if you have kids. Would highly recommend!
This condo is so great! We loved every minute. The view is incredible and I loved watching the sun set every evening. Would definitely stay here again!
Chuck’s place was the perfect south shore spot for us. Open and breezy, with charm and comfort, we loved being steps from the beach and relaxing on the balcony. Looking out at the ocean and beautiful grounds from the living area was such a delight. We stargazed from the grounds’ lawn chairs while hearing the ocean sounds at night. The unit has everything you need. Compact but plenty of room for two. Restaurants and fantastic coffee a short walk away. The athletic club was awesome!! It had yoga and every piece of workout equipment you can think of. If you are a cat lover, you’ll also enjoy the resort’s resident kitties who lounge outside the management office. Chuck was very responsive to a couple questions we had. Would def stay here again!
Absolutely beautiful property! The view is amazing, the deck is peaceful and inside is fantastic. All communication with Chuck is answered quickly and he has lots of great ideas to share.
There are not enough good things to say about this property and the owner. The latter was very friendly, communicative, and graciously accommodated me in rescheduling our stay due to unforeseen circumstances. This was essentially the honeymoon my wife and I never got to take, and we couldn’t have picked a better place. It was very clean, had an amazing ocean view, and the Kiahuna Plantation grounds were absolutely beautiful. The beach is literally steps away and was perfect. I could go on forever but summarize by saying don't wait, just book this place. You won't regret it! We have already booked it again for next year.
A couple of specific notes:
1) It doesn't have A/C, but it doesn't need it. It's an end unit and the trade winds keep it a perfect temperature.
2) The bed is a king size and was nice. There's plenty of closet space and storage for your clothes.
3) The kitchen has everything you need and is big enough to not feel cramped.
4) The living room is also feels roomy, and the lanai is awesome!
5) Did I mention just book this place?
My husband and I spent 4 beautiful days in this mesmerizing condo. We couldn’t wait to wake up every morning to look at our balcony views: the blue ocean & the green palm trees. The sheets, the bed & the pillows are comfortable. It’s a very cozy home, it was equipped with all the things we needed for our stay. It is located in a really nice, safe & quiet area, that we would love to come back again when in Kauai. Very easy access to the beach to catch some waves. The host, Chuck is very responsive and ready to answer any questions at any time. He suggested some great restaurants, where we particularly loved: The Beach House (great food and sunset views) & Keoke’s Paradise (great vibes), Puka Dog (for its famous hot dogs). Check in and. Heck out is very easy too. Overall, our time here was a harmonious symphony of comfort, beauty, and exceptional hospitality, leaving us eager to return and relive this unforgettable experience. Chuck & family, Thank you for having us!

We've been to the Kiahuna many times over the past 40 years, and Chuck's condo is our favorite. The location is great with a lovely view of the large lawn and ocean from the balcony, and given that it's a top floor end unit, it's very private and quiet as well. I also appreciate Chuck's responsiveness to any of our inquiries. He's an excellent host.

We love staying at Kiahuna Plantation. It has a great pool, several great beaches, shopping and many many restaurants that you can walk to. Our night driving eyesight isn’t the best anymore so being able to stay close to home is perfect. This condo was exceptional the view was amazing. It was so relaxing . Great place to view sunsets and sunrises just around the corner. Being able to cook and bar b que is great. Everything you need to be comfortable.
Excellent location and unit in Kiahuna Plantation. Second time for another two weeks this year and will go back in teh same unit in the summer. Canot say enough about the entire package as well as the owners; Chuck has been exceptional communicating and not only following up but pre-empting any questions or needs we might have. Love everything about the vacation and the location and unit are a big part of it.

As noted, no heat or AC in unit - but the apartment certainly well ventilated with fresh breezes and plenty of fans ( even had to close windows and take out blanket during one particularly stormy and cold night) . Atletic club access was a bonus- though we went next door to sheraton for pool and workout since our cousins were staying there.. Even with 2 rainy days, there was plenty to do and see nearby. I highly recommend a trip to Allerton and McBryde Gardens, Kauai Coffee plantation and for something unique- Lyndgate Chocolate farm tour. Its definitely not a factory- but you will learn and taste many different chocolates including the roasted ' nibs' ( 100% cocoa) themselves. You'll never eat another mass produced chocolate bar again!

No crowds and miles of unspoiled sand with views of Ni'ihau. Kokee state park and waimea canyon was too wet and cloudy this trip. Great restaurants and kydos for poke bowls and fresh fish for ' home cooking' at koloa fish market. We look forward to a future visit and hope to agian stay in this unit. Five stars well earned!!

As we walked around the area, we really didn't think we could have chose a better unit to rent on the Kiahuna Plantation grounds. The unit was so perfect for our little family. The bedroom was perfectly dark and quite for sleeping (which is how we like it). We loved being able to sit on the porch and still be able to see the sunset and the waves. The activities closet was awesome to have and we used the chairs and umbrella at the beach. The access to the athletic club was amazing. Their pool over there is gorgeous and the work out facilities were top notch. The restaurant at the athletic club was also very nice. I rarely want to go back to the exact same location after a trip because there is just so much in the world to see, but I can confidently say that i would return to Kauai and would want to stay in this until again in the near future!
This is one of the very best Kiahuna units. Corner unit with great view, steps from wonderful swimming beach. Everything was as described by the owner. We had an amazing stay and highly recommend this condo.
