Absolutely amazing stay. I have been to Kauai multiple times and this was our favorite, by a wide margin. The house is immaculate and the location is perfect. The backyard and pool area is the perfect place. The host was amazing and responsive. Highly recommend!!
We had a wonderful time staying at Milo Hae Hale! The room layouts and back lanai were perfect for our family. The house had everything we needed. The location was great. Just a short drive to multiple beaches, restaurants and shops. The house is one level so was ideal for my parents with mobility issues. Just note, there are some steep steps to the front door. I missed that comment in the listing (it is written there). I saw wheelchair accessible so assumed easy access. We made it work and wouldn’t change anything about our stay.
Great stay! Quiet residential neighborhood. Very comfortable house with great views of golf course and ocean. Peaceful. Perfect for our family of five :)
This house was amazing! It had amazing ventilation and flow through for the trade winds, it felt great in the kitchen and living room. And the bed rooms have their own mini-split air conditioning, so they were very comfortable as well.It was so nice and quiet being right on the golf course. The pool was great and we had several meals on the back patio.Everyone loved it and we would stay again in a heart beat.

John was an excellent host, he responded quickly to questions and we had everything we needed and more. The home and neighborhood are pristine. The pool and beautiful landscaping made for an excellent bonus as we enjoyed our coffee in the morning and swimming with the kids in the evening. All bedrooms have excellent A/C, the covered drive-thru driveway was awesome for close loading and unloading of luggage, plus it rained often and we could still access the vehicles without getting wet. We loved the location and the neighborhood was ideal. I highly recommend booking with John as this home was an absolute joy and made our trip to Kauai very special.
We had such a wonderful time at this property. We would love to stay here again. Beautiful quiet neighborhood super close to everything you may want or need. Only issue we had was that we didn’t receive the code to the garage until the end of our stay. This was where all of the beach toys and accessories were, which we didn’t get to use. Didnt take away from how lovely and well appointed the house was. Our little family was very comfortable and we could see bringing friends and family and still having plenty of space.
A beautiful and relaxing property, perfect for a family with children. After day trip around Kauai, coming home to the pool was fabulous for young and old alike. A very quiet neighborhood.

House is great - super clean, well organized. On a lovely quiet street overlooking a golf course. Pool was a bit dirty - film on pool tiles. Grill needs to be cleaned. Other than that, perfect.
We loved this house so much! It was very well equipped with everything we could possibly need. The location was perfect - we chose to drive to beaches (parking was never an issue which is so different than east coast beaches) but you could easily walk to 2-3. There are also small restaurants and shops (including coffee) that are easily walkable.
The house itself is open and airy. The art is beautiful, and we really enjoyed just hanging out at home when we were tired from the days’ adventures. The kids absolutely loved the pool and we loved the sunsets from the back porch. A perfect stay.
We really loved our stay at this home on the South Shore of Kauai. We spent half a week here, and loved every day we were able to call it home. The house was exactly as advertised, very clean (spotless), super comfortable, and VERY well stocked (DO NOT underestimate the importance of this point!). I wanted to personally thank the Homeowner for how well stocked the home was in terms of the kitchen, cooking supplies, spices, soaps, paper products, laundry detergent-- the list goes on. I have been burned multiple times on poorly stocked rentals where you are forced to ration out your laundry, showers, and cooking due to poorly stocked supplies. Especially in an expensive place like Kauai (the most expensive place!) having a rental well-stocked is a HUGE plus. For this point alone I would consider staying here again!
The only negative regarding the property that I can think of is the general lack of privacy, however this was not a surprise as we read through the reviews, looked at the photos, and knew what to expect. So for us it was not really a negative- but I will say that if you find your personal privacy very important, you may want to consider this point. The home is backed directly up to a (beautiful) golf course, where throughout the day there are groups of golfers that go by the backyard. There is no fence. However the view from the back porch is also what makes the property so nice! Also as another reviewer mentioned, the blinds can be seen right through at night.
The property was excellent for our extended family stay. Location was convenient to stores, beach, and shopping. House was clean and well stocked. Will definitely stay here again.
