Vacation Rental Details

Experience the unparalleled majesty and tranquility of Kauai's North Shore! The Palm Treehouse (#30) at Hanalei Bay Villas is uniquely situated between the mountains and ocean, allowing you to admire both at the same time. Come get lost admiring the stunning landscape and meditative rolling of the waves.

The Palm Treehouse (#30) Location:

Elevated above the canopy of Makai Golf Course, the South side opens up to a verdant valley and jagged mountain face, allowing you to observe waterfalls, rainbows, birds, and evolving clouds (keep an eye out for our beloved albatross!). The front door leads to the North side, boasting brilliant blue views of the Pacific, more rainbows, whale watching, nene crossing, and sunsets. Across from the Treehouse is the scenic overlook cliff for even closer observation of whales, waves and sunsets. While we definitely encourage you to get out of the villa, you don't have to leave the couch to enjoy the unbelievable beauty of the island.

The Palm Treehouse (#30) Layout:

The villa comfortably accommodates up to six guests with its 1,600 sq. ft. and two-story traditional Hawaiian design. Upon entry, you'll walk into the upper level, which has the half bath, covered lanai, beach supply closet, and living area. The kitchen was recently renovated and updated to include more small appliances (e.g., blender, rice cooker, coffee maker). And the refrigerator now offers filtered water, ice cubes and Sonic-style crushed ice! Downstairs on the lower level, you'll find the laundry closet, two full baths, three bedrooms, and another covered lanai off of the Master. The Master has a King mattress, and the other two have Queen mattresses. While the villa does not have A/C, there are ceiling fans, area fans, screen doors, louvered windows and bamboo shades throughout. Plus, the villa's location is conducive to the flow of ocean trade winds, which keep the home comfortable and refreshing. Additional amenities include high speed internet, most streaming platforms, beach towels, and tumblers.

The Neighborhood:

Within walking distance are two beaches. Kenomene/Hideaway Beach is a steep but brief climb to a secluded stretch of beach that is perfect for watching the surf and snorkeling. Pu'u Poa Beach can be accessed by the outdoor staircase of the world-renowned 1 Hotel Hanalei Bay. Take the stairs to the beach and enjoy a number of activities - relax under the trees, watch for turtles, or rent a SUP or kayak from the hotel. During low tide, you can walk the beach towards Hanalei Bay and wade across the river to access the pier. Visit the Welina Terrace at 1 Hotel Hanalei Bay around sunset to enjoy the Napo'O 'Ana O Ka La sunset ritual.

Within one mile of the Treehouse, you'll find food like Hideaways Pizza and Happy Talk Lounge. About two miles away, the Princeville Center has a grocery store, hardware store, boutiques, restaurants, grab-and-go eateries, and art galleries. You may also hike down to the Queen's Bath, respectfully visit the albatross nesting area, jog the 3-mile loop, workout at the AARP fitness pavilion, sign up for sunrise yoga on the bluff, or play golf at Makai.

Within 15 miles of the Treehouse, Hanalei (4 mi) hosts the infamous North Shore waves and draws surfers from all over the world. Visit the town for one-of-a-kind shopping and fresh eats. Kilauea (9 mi) is another historic town with incredible food. The Kilauea Point Lighthouse & National Wildlife Refuge is an excellent site for bird watching and learning about the evolution of the island and its wildlife.
