Our family of 5 (grown children) recently enjoyed our stay at John and Maysie’s retreat by the beach. Great location and amenities are wonderful. Beautiful views of the ocean. It’s beside a busy road so it can get a bit noisy.John is a very helpful and attentive host. He came right away to help out when we had trouble locating the air-conditioner (we eventually found it). He brought over a couple of beautifully scented leis and shared some good local places to tour and local food trucks to eat at. We were finding the bedroom to be a bit too hot for the kids so he also kindly brought over an additional tower fan to help make it more comfortable. Recommended places to explore…snorkeling at Molokini, Maui Ocean Centre, Nakalele Blow Hole and watching the sunset on Haleakala!
This condo was comfortable and well equipped with everything my family of 4 needed for our stay. John communicated well with us and gave us great recommendations for dining and activities. The beach access is ideal and we enjoyed sunset views. Would definitely stay here again!
My family and I, consisting of a total of 9 people spent 15 beautiful days in Kihei and stayed at Kamaole Sand ( two condo's booked). This room is in a perfect location to the beach, the only downfall being that you can hear the road traffic. John and Maysie were polite, stopped over twice during our 2 week stay. The 2nd bedroom was a little tight for 2 adults and a teenager, luckily the condo had a sofa bed which allowed for a more comfortable sleeping space.The condo was filled with all the beach necessities.
We had a great stay here! Excellent location, good host communication and had all the beach equipment we needed. The birthday flowers were very thoughtful and much appreciated!
Great beaches and restaurants in walking distance. Best weather on the Island. So quiet and relaxing. The people are so friendly and helpful. Best vacation ever. Thanks for everything.
10/10 would stay here again. You can see the balcony when you are swimming in the ocean, you are THAT close! It was very spacious and clean, and all around a great please to stay. Would certainly stay again, check in was easy and seamless and the place was very clean.

Our family of 5 (4 adults & a 14 yr.old) had an enjoyable time at John and Maysie's condo. The condo was clean, and they were very easy to communicate with. Maysie even made us very tasty muffins! This condo has everything you will need. Plenty of towels and a fully stocked kitchen. Lots of things for the pool and beach.
This condo is in a perfect spot with beach access right across the street & town just a close walk.
Would definitely stay here again.
We stayed 10 nights in the condo and we enjoyed ourselves and the accommodations. We loved being so close to the beach and it had everything we needed.
Easy access to beaches and pool. Condo has all amenities you'll need. Host is extremely accommodating and communication was very good. Have stayed at several condos in Kihei over the years and this was by far the best stay yet when you take into account the location, amenities and price.

Excellent location, plenty of space for 2 adults and 2 teens, the grounds and pool were beautifully kept and clean. They have everything you need for the beach! We had friends also staying in the same building. They visit every year and have stayed in many condos, they were jealous of how well equipped ours was. John provides everything you need for a comfortable stay! And John’s hospitality embodies “ohana” - we were treated like family! Thank you John! We can’t wait to return!

We had the most memorable vacation time with our three almost adult children.
The condo was perfect for us, being a family of five, it is always hard to find three beds in the second bedroom to fit us all comfortably.
We arrived to a very clean condo, stocked with everything we could need. The beach cabinet also was extremely stocked, more chairs than most, multiple coolers, beach toys, umbrellas and even an extra shade cabana.
Location is just perfect, right across the street from the beach. Close enough to hear the ocean, people watch from the patio, and yet, so quiet and calm.
We were able to barely turn on the A/C unit, as you get a wonderful breeze through the condo when you open the outside door and window. It is so nice to feel the natural breeze passing through.
The owners, John and Maysie, were fantastic. John brought us a beautiful Lei made with flowers from their garden when he came to introduce himself. He shared with us many suggestions for places to visit and eat. But most of all, while we never ended up needing anything as everything was perfect, it was comforting knowing he was a fast reach away in the event we needed assistance with anything.
This vacation was so needed for our family, and everything about this condo contributed to all of us leaving saying this was one of the best vacations we have taken in a long time. We will definitely be coming back.
My wife, our 3 kids (aged 14,12 and 11) stayed in this property from 12th April to 19th April 2024. This was our first time to Hawaii and Maui, a magical Island and we would highly recommend this unit to any family.
The condo had everything we needed (cooking utensils, pots, pans) and overlooked the Kamola Sands Beach 111. We could hear the ocean from our Loft bedroom which had a queen bed with full ensuite (shower, toilet etc.); our kids stayed in the 2nd bedroom on the main floor which had 3 single beds and an adjacent washroom with shower etc.
The resort had great facilities; pool and hot tub open until 10p.m every night; games room, tennis courts and pickleball courts.
John and Maysie gave us lots of great advice on tours, places to go, beaches to visit, snorkeling spots, places to eat before we arrived and truly were fabulous hosts; there was beach chairs for us all, beach towels, coolers, bodyboards etc. To top it all off, John arranged to meet with us and brought 2 Leis for my wife and daughter made from the Puakenikeni flower (also known as the 10-cent flower) which he grows on his property. This was a special experience.
This was the trip of a lifetime for our family and we hope to return to Maui and this property one day..!

My family of 5 adults stayed at this Hidden treasure for 8 nights and absolutely loved it! The location is amazing, right across the street from a prestigious beach. The condo was very clean and comfortably slept 5 adults. John and his wife are exceptionally kind hosts! They stopped over and brought us flowers from their garden. I will be requesting to book again my next trip to Maui!

This was a truly special holiday for my wife and I, our 40th anniversary celebration and this apartment was the ideal place to celebrate. John and Maysie provided a perfect holiday and it is difficult to know where to start. Probably with the gift of a beautiful flower bouquet and a rosé.
But also so much more. Tremendous care and attention has gone into this apartment. We have been to other VRBO’s in the same complex, this one is exceptional. The kitchen is well and thoughtfully stocked, the beds are very comfortable, multiple TVs if one had time to look at them, and every little detail, tennis racket, which had new handles applied, and every possible item of beach equipment. Spotless before we got in there. Lots of other consumables eg dishwasher soap, laundry materials, paper towels etc - often lacking on some of our other stays.
Were joined for part of the time by two of our adult children and a partner, and there was no problem with the five of us staying organized and enjoying the time Also, exceptional ongoing attention, we had somehow managed to lock ourselves out of the bedroom, John over directly to fix this. I had to order an urgent pair of prescription glasses, John provided advice & access to the mailbox.
The fans and breeze kept us cool
Overall my wife and I could not have been happier with this experience , would love to have a chance to go back there sometime.

We had an amazing time here in Maui. We would come back anytime. John was an amazing help and was available to answer any questions we had throughout the week and gave additional nformation that was so helpful. We loved it and would recommend it to anyone with a family of various age groups..
