It's a large apartment with 2 separate bedrooms and another loft room upstairs. A/C is in every room. Lots of equipment for the beach (beach chairs, boogie boards, etc). The property does need a new coat of paint and some fixes here and there, but it didn't spoil our vacation. It was very convenient to have an airfryer in the kitchen.
Overall, this is a decent condominium. It is very well equipped and very clean. That said, however, this unit is in sore need of updates and by that I mean a few cans of paint would do wonders if the owners are not able to afford renovations. The kitchen cupboards look dirty but they aren’t. Carpets could be replaced, the lanai carpet to be frank is disgusting. It’s very difficult to open the lanai door. All should be tiled. Existing Baseboards look like they’ve been chewed. The bed in the Master has started to sag.
This condo probably has the best ocean view in the complex. Kudos to the cleaning people who keep this place up as best they can.
This condo is in a great building on the 4th floor with a view of the ocean. The condo is wore out but was clean. We could not sit outside on lanai due to heat from the AC unit.
Condo is stocked with everything we needed. No oven, we knew this and it didn’t effect our needs. Needs to be painted and new carpet and over all updated throughout. Price was right.
Condo has a stunning view and easy access to the beach (even had a turtle join us for a swim!). Loved everything about this property. We enjoyed the pool/jacuzzi after a day of beach or adventure. The condo was comfortable and was stocked with three beach chairs, umbrella, and snorkel gear. If you are going to stay in Kihei, I highly recommend this location.
Checking in was great. The people who worked at the condo were great and the grounds were amazing and well kept up. Unfortunately, the condo wasn't great. It looks like some updating has happened, but there is dry rot on some floor boards. The upstairs took quite a bit to cool down. The most frustrating was the heat was unbearable on the lanai- so much that we couldn't sit out on it to enjoy the view. Lastly we found 2 cockroaches upstairs- in the bathroom and closet.

We had a great time with our stay. The condo was clean, comfortable for a crowd and had everything we needed. Easy check in and access to the condo. Lots of space for our big family. Also, it was great having the extras like beach towels, beach chairs, umbrella and cooler. The condo also had a high chair and playpen so no need to pack that if you have a baby.Overall we had a great stay!

Good morning and sorry for the late response. This was our second vacation in Maui and both times staying at the Kamaole Sands, and we very much enjoy the area and the Island. Upon arriving and entering our unit, the cleanliness was not to our satisfaction. There were actual spider webs on top of the lamps, which we took pictures of and showed to the property management, the exterior of the cupboards needing cleaning, and the glass doors to the lanai were not clean as well, with the vented doors on the lanai very dirty also. Furthermore, there were light bulbs burnt out and plumbing problems, but we did call and eventually got those replaced and fixed. Overall the unit requires some TLC and repair. The bath/shower in the loft needs to be replaced/updated, new flooring/tile is required throughout, as I don't understand why anyone would have carpet in a beachside rental unit, and the whole unit requires new paint. Something also needs to be done with the front facing of the counters to the dining/living room area. Overall, while I would recommend the Kamaole Sands to others, I would not recommend the unit we were in at this time.

We had a wonderful stay at this condo. It has a nice view of the ocean, is a short walk to the beach (which is also a great snorkeling spot) and has all the necessities, including beach items (chairs, umbrella, snorkel equipment, boogie boards, etc.). You can walk to a few restaurants (including ice cream and a great cinnamon roll place), although we generally drove into town for our meals (our favorite - Paia Fish Market). The only negative is that the TVs are not smart TVs so you need to bring your own ROKU or Chrome Cast to see your favorite streaming channels. Also, the TV in the main guest room is super tiny and there's no TV in the other bedroom or loft. We did have a leak issue but it was quickly taken care of by the management company (and everyone was really nice). I would highly recommend this condo (and Kamaole Sands in general).
