Close to the beaches, a lovely yard, nice quiet neighborhood. Chis, the property manager, was quick to respond to minor situations.
We loved this property! Super clean, accurate descriptions/pics. Our 4 year old said it was his “favorite house ever”! Gorgeous views and green everywhere. The garage is well stocked with everything you need to enjoy time at the beach. Beds were super comfy! Any issues were quickly taken care of by the property manager and owners. The overall feeling of this home is comfortable and cozy. We would definitely stay again! Small thing to note: right next door is an empty grass lot. Our kids loved running around on the open space! However, if a party is happening in the neighborhood, it will be used as a parking lot as there is no street parking allowed. We were staying at the property over Easter weekend and a neighbor threw a big celebration. Because the house has so many beautiful windows and no fence - the cars/people had a direct view of us in the house/jacuzzi. I don’t think this would be a common occurrence and it didn’t take away from our overall love of the home.
We had a great stay. Close enough to beaches, restaurants shopping, all the luxuries of home, beautiful home and neighborhood.
This house was great for our two family Kauai Thanksgiving trip! The layout worked really well for us (two teens, two kids, and 4 adults) and I loved that we could all watch a movie together, or all eat meals together without feeling crowded. The backyard was just fantastic -- the hot tub, the outdoor dining, fruit trees, privacy, grill -- it was all there and it was all very nice.
I appreciated that we were not expected to do much of anything for checkout cleaning. And I super appreciated how responsive and awesome the property manager Chris was. He was super professional and took great care of us and the house. We had some minor plumbing issues (one with the garbage disposal that our group may or may not have contributed to) that he came over and addressed right away.
For the overall rating I would have given 4.8 had the option been available, because there were a couple of things that our group struggled with:
1. The handles to turn on both of the showers need to be fixed. One was really hard to turn and the other fell off whenever we tried to use it. Chris came over right away to work on it but it was still broken.
2. The ceiling fans simply did not work -- while the owners did acknowledge that they had some issue getting them to work properly and that they would be replacing them in the future, we were only able to get one to work at a time.
3. The pots and pans in the kitchen need to be replaced and upgraded to reflect the quality of the rest of the property and how well stocked the rest of the kitchen was was with pretty much everything needed for cooking and entertaining away from home. We contemplated buying a set of skillets for the house because some were so warped that they didn't lay flat which made it hard to cool on and some had their non-stick coating totally scratched and peeling.
Other than that, everything was fantastic and we would totally stay here again AND recommend it to friends.
Great home, location, and communication with property manager. The yard was impeccable and we enjoyed the backyard space a lot.

This is a beautiful, well-stocked, comfortable home in a quiet neighborhood. The location is perfect, you can walk to groceries and restaurants. The hot tub was lovely. There is plenty of beach equipment which was a bonus for us. The family hadn't been together in over 4 years and wanted the destination to be special. Joe and Amy's place helped us create precious memories. Thank you!

My family requested a Hawaii vacation with Kaui being the unanimous choice. I was able to book 3 homes in Princeville using VRBO for my family of 16: 3 kids, spouses, and 8 grandchildren ages 14-20. The location was ideal (2nd VRBO in same block) because kids could walk to nearby shops, large table inside for eating and games...screened patios with view were perfect for relaxing, eating, etc. Management was helpful and allowed us to leave luggage and groceries inside before check-in. Plenty of space for the 10 who stayed there....and only VRBO site where all 16 could eat together. THANKS! Sure we will return.
