My family enjoyed the home very much. The house perfect for us. We loved the yard, pool, and the outdoor dining. We also loved the short walk to the beach...the kids had a blast using the boogie boards. Staying at the home allowed us to meet the newest member of our family...which is my 6th grandchild. We would definitely stay again
This property really is the star of Hawai'i. It was so beautiful, convenient to the super markets, restaurants and best of all the pricate access to the beach. The beautiful rooms are so lovely, washer and dryer are a godsent not to mention all the awesome beach toys
My extended family had an incredible stay at Pat's home in Kailua! We were 5 adults and 5 kids ranging in age from 2-11. The house had wonderful shared spaces in which to hang out but was also large enough for everyone to have their own private area when we needed some down time. The location is perfect, very close to the beach and a short drive to downtown Kailua. The proximity to the beach and the lovely pool were perfect for young kids. We could easily bring the kids to the beach for a short time and then head back as needed for naps. The pool meant the kids were never bored. The photos really don't do justice to the beautiful garden that Pat has created in her backyard. It feels like an oasis. Pat's home was very well-stocked with kitchen appliances and beach gear! There were even kayaks though we didn't get a chance to use them with so many young kids. I would highly recommend Pat's home and am looking forward to hopefully returning some time soon!
This property has everything you would want for a stay on Oahu. It's located very close to the best beach on Oahu, with all the amenities, and even a separate apartment for multiple families.
The host was very responsive to all of our inquiries, and was very quick to respond and help us out when there was a brief power outage.

Everything about the stay was amazing. The instructions and communication prior to arrival were emailed, complete and clear. The property was clean, stocked with basic necessities and lots of unexpected pool and beach toys. The private beach was amazing. Would definitely go back to this location.

Positives - The home has a great location close to the beach. The kitchen is very well equipped and we didn't lack for anything to prepare meals. The pool was nice along with the yard and they had plenty of beach towels.
Challenges - The home is run down and could use some major updating and cleaning. The bathroom mats were stained, dirty, and should be replaced. The gutters were clogged with leaves and when it rained the water just poured off of the roof on to patio/eating area. We couldn't use one of the couches that folded into a bed as the mattress was so dirty (I notified the caretaker and she did order a new mattress, but it came too late for us to use the couch). The beach chairs were very worn and one was ripped completely. We did purchase a new chair and left it for the next group. The entire home just seemed "tired" and not serviced. I notified the caretaker several times and she did respond quickly and tried to remedy the issues. Some cement tiles fell off the pool wall and when I showed them to the pool man, he mentioned that the owner knew of the issue and was trying to get the tiles to stay on but without luck. Due to Covid, the caretaker did not meet us at the property, so there was a lot of texting back and forth to figure out the lights, wifi, etc. It would have been very helpful to have written instructions about how everything worked when we arrived.
