Kahana Sunset never disappoints! Property manager responded quickly and communicated effectively. The location of this condo community couldn’t be better, the access to the pool and beach was perfect.
We came in for a family wedding. When we arrived 4 hrs after check in - we were happy to walk into a cozy place for the next 4 nights. Host was very attentive in communicating quickly and efficiently. AC was a godsend! Everything you need for the pool is available for use. Kitchen was equipped with everything you need.

Beautiful and clean apartment. Perfectly stocked for our vacation so we had everything we needed for our stay. The walk to the beach was the perfect start to our day every day. Would definitely recommend to stay there for a quiet and peaceful Maui vacation.
Perfect location for accessing multiple snorkeling beaches on the northwest corner of Maui. Property managers were responsive and communicated often. Property grounds are well cared for and very pretty. Switches are labeled. Kitchen appliances were appreciated. A few items in the fridge, ice in the freezer, and AC was on before we arrived made us feel welcome.
We enjoyed our 12 day stay at Hula Hideaway. As first time visitors to Maui, we deliberated about where to stay - and the Kahana area where this condo is located was amazing. It was right on the water, with a small beach and swimming or snorkeling in a small bay. We watched the sunset every night and where able to see the resident sea turtles almost every day. The condo was just as described - spacious for the three of us, clean and comfortable, and well stocked with supplies. The host was communicative and responsive, addressing a minor issue with amazing speed. The beds were quite comfortable! We would absolutely stay again.
The unit was clean and had all listed amenities plus some extra supplies for the beach. It was great for our family.
Our stay was great. the unit is roomy and the beds comfy. I got the best sleep. I had my own lania and could see the ocean. The complex is a few mins to the best best. Restaurant and a small grocery store are close by. the pool is warm and there is a sandy beach just a couple of mins walking. beach chairs are available too. the only thing is there isn't enough outlets to charge devices but i thought there was an ext cord in the kitchen and there isn't a bathroom downstairs so I wouldn't suggest this would work for an elderly person. We didn't end up using the sofabed so I can't give opinion. It was a great stay and like I said, West Maui has excellent beaches , Eat at the Sea House and party at Dollies! Oh the parking is tight but we had a small car. just an FYI.
Great location. Can see the ocean from the balconies. The condo is terrific. Could use a few more accessible electrical outlets.
This place was in an awesome location close to some primo snorkeling spots and also to grocery stores and restaurants. Everything was as advertised and more. Really impressed with how well stocked the kitchen was for self catering. Definitely exceeded expectations. Everything in good condition. We made use of the sofa bed and it was perfectly comfortable. Highly recommend this place for a family group.
Very happy with the ease of the process
The location was great. It was the 2nd part of our stay and we wish we could have stayed longer. It was located in the middle of all the activities we were taking part in. We didn’t cook dinner, but loved the kitchen for easy cost effective breakfast and to prepare beach snacks! There is a store right around the corner & food trucks down the road! Kids loved the pool. There was a swell in while we were there so the waves were crashing (at all beaches) so we did not swim out in the Ocean in front of the condo, but would have on a calmer day. The unit was not as updated as I thought based on the description, but it did not bother us. We were not there to wooed by fancy up-dates, we just wanted space for our family and that was perfect! The beds were so comfortable!!! That can make or break a vacation we would stay here again!
Perfect place to view turtles in the water and see whales and gorgeous sunsets. Family friendly and great communication before arrival and quick attention to issues.
Parking was a little tight but very convenient location.
We began by having a hard time getting someone to answer the phone to let us know when we could get into the unit. Could not understand person because of back ground noise. Our largest disappointment was not having a top sheet on our bed for three nights, sweating all night under a comforter, plus the pillows were very big and hard. My wife and I had the worst three nights sleep ever. The other couple with us had a top sheet on their bed, but their pillows were just as bad. How could we have guarded against this ?The location of the unit was perfect for us and the activities we planned.
We had a fantastic Christmas vacation here and enjoyed the nicely appointed unit beautifully maintained property. The management was very helpful and responsive ex we asked for a few more dish towels, and they quickly dropped off a full bag of extras for our stay. The pool and surrounding shared facilities ex. BBQ, were a great bonus for us. Thank you!
I can’t think of any way our trip could’ve been better. The unit was exactly as advertised. Beds are so comfy, kitchen was well-outfitted and served our needs well. Gorgeous grounds but quiet too. We loved it!
Great location and condo if you like beauty and quiet! We love the west side. Beaches within minutes. Clean and lovely grounds: pool is great!

We enjoyed our stay tremendously. Our condo was clean and well-stocked with essentials. The beach gear was so appreciated! Be sure to page through the thoughtful and intentional books-especially the guidebook (Maui Revealed-it’s all you’ll need to plan your week!!), Jaws, and the book explaining the artwork/artist! The location of the condo in West Maui was extremely convenient! Highly recommend! Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you for an amazing stay!
Perfect place for kids, with the pool and little beach easily accessible. The easy entry made it great for snorkeling and swimming around! The condominium was quiet and felt like home, so was very relaxing to just hang out in or when returning back after day excursions.
Nice quiet location that was not far from everything that we wanted to do. Beach was mostly non-existent on the property while we were there, but we were able to snorkel there a couple of times. Lots of lounge chairs in the community areas for the pool and sunset watching.
Property managers were very prompt in addressing two small issues that we had. The unit is getting a little worn (could use some upgrades to the bathrooms) but everything was very clean.

This was a great spot! The condo was great and actually better than the pictures. They had everything we needed.
Our family with our two girls loved the location with the pool and private ocean view seating and we saw sea turtles everyday! We would love to come back!

We shared this unit with my parents. It was well equipped. the AC worked well, the unit was clean. Everything listed as an amenity was available and in good working condition. When our flight was changed and we arrived earlier than expected, we were able to check-in early. Hanging out on the balcony at night was lovely. Nothing to do with this unit, but the beach associated with the property is not ideal, especially for children, but Kapalua Beach and Napili Beach are amazing and about a 5 minute drive. The pool is wonderful for children, there is a toddler pool and a bigger pool, so can accommodate very young kids (ours was 2 and loved it) and older kids as well. The property is lovely, well maintained and with plenty of lounge chairs. There is a common area right near the beach with shade and tables where you can see turtles and whales and get a bit of a breeze when it is hot. The communication with the owner was excellent. I would absolutely recommend this unit and appreciate the communication from the owner.

This was a great place to stay. Very homey. Owners responsive. Kahana Sunset very nice. However, the beach is receding over the past few years. Not the owner's fault, but a bummer since this was a big draw for us with little kids.
Spent 9 days on Maui in this lovely condo. It was perfect for our trip! My husband and I traveled together with our best friends and the set up of the unit was great! The common area is comfortable. We loved eating out on the deck and watching the ocean and occasional whale swim by. The separation of the bedrooms worked out well. The host was very great in communicating quickly with us when needed. The beach equipment they had on hand was great! We didn’t have to rent or purchase any while we were there. The complex is very quiet which was nice. The only bummer was that the small bit of beach that you see in the pictures was pretty nonexistent due to the waves. I’m sure that’s because we visited in the winter. We found plenty of beautiful beaches in the area to hang out at and enjoyed watching the sunset, waves, and whales from the grassy area on the well kept grounds.
The property is in a nice area between Kaanapali and Kapalua. The Napili Market is just around the corner and a number of nice restaurants are very close. The overall property is quiet and very picturesque with a small bay and very small beach. Great spots for snorkeling are close by such as Kapalua Bay and Honolua Bay
