We love Kahana Villa. The place we stayed in was very well maintained.
We love the Kahana area so this unit was perfect with it’s amenities. Clean and comfortable.
The room was in absolutely terrible condition
The A/C was not working properly and it was a big leak and mess
The door code we got didn’t work and we had to stay 2 hours outside the door till the owner got us a new code .
No hot water in the shower and leaking water from the faucet in the sink and under the sink.
It was really bad experience and the most bad service ever
When we first arrived there were mouse/critter droppings all over the pull out couch and all over the pull out bed itself when it was unfolded. Additionally, the ceiling has a leak area right above it where it’s not actively leaking but had left ceiling pieces on the pull out bed as well.
We vacuumed them and removed the bedding liner, but we are pretty disappointed about this, especially given how much we are spending for the week to stay there.
During our stay maintenance had to come to take care of a leak that was going into another unit.
Overall, the start was great except that the air conditioner could not keep up with the humidity level making it very humid and hot in the room. The place was well equipped and nice.
Not the greatest place for the price. All appliances were very dated and old. Even the coffee maker was put together wrong. Refrigerator door did not close itself, the toaster had to be 20 years old and burned the toast. Stove had the old spiral burners and were uneven. Not the best place I've stayed for that price. And the VRBO charge was a surprise.

We enjoyed our time in Maui and our VRBO home (for the week anyway) was clean and quiet. Highly recommend! Thanks!
Although the lanai/patio is not private, it felt private. Other than a stain on the carpet the property was beautiful. We were very happy with our stay even with covid just starting to ramp up.
Although I rented this property due to its close beach location for six days I was only able to stomach staying for two. It is one thing to just have older apartment furnishings that are in good condition and for the condo to be clean as presented in the listing that could not have been farther from the truth. Instead the carpet had large and suspicious looking stains all over, dirt/ dust/ dead bugs were throughout the condo, an odd urine like scent came from the shower, the hide away bed was extremely hard to get out, the sheets were stained/ had holes in them, and were beyond scratchy and those are just the highlights. My guest and I ended up sleeping on the beach towels we had brought and used the blankets we had brought for use on the flight because they were so bad... To put our experience kindly save your money and stay in a motel 6, trust me it will be a whole lot nicer.
A great value for the money. We enjoyed our stay immensely and were happy with how close the condo was to everything that we wanted to do in the North West of the island. I'd recommend this place to friends or family.
We were super grateful to find such a great deal to make our family vacation more affordable. Great location, great home away from home. Mahalo to the owners!
