Location - right next to the dumpster and the smoking section… nothing like trash and smoke smell all week. The room was similar to a rundown super 8, not clean, the beds were not comfortable and didn’t really feel comfortable staying there. There was 1 box of Kleenex with 2 tissues in it, lack of dishes had us running dishwasher daily, and the demands by the host made us feel like we had to leave it cleaner than when we came. We were not impressed in the least and will not recommend nor stay here again.
We absolutely loved this unit. After a 6 hour flight and several more hours waiting for bags, getting groceries and driving from the airport, we couldn’t have asked for a better condo. Traveling with a 7 month old and 10 year old is not always easy and as soon as we opened the door we felt right at home. The unit is spotlessly clean, the beds (king and sofa) were very comfortable, the lanai, ocean view and first floor location were perfect. It’s a good thing the pools closed at 8pm, otherwise our 10 year old might never have gone to bed. The pools are literally steps from the unit. Also, there is a pocket door separating the kitchen from the bedroom/bathroom. It was a wonderful surprise that gave us extra buffer when our 7 month old was asleep in the bedroom. The only thing we didn’t have was more vacation time to stay on Maui. We all agreed we’d be back. Extra kudos to Fereshteh for being an exceptionally responsive and helpful host. When you visit please keep in mind that West Maui is still raw and hurting from the August fires. We led with respect and kindness and we were met with Aloha.
Fereshteh was super-quick to respond to our inquiries due to a rental pivot. She was able to arrange for a quick cleaning which allowed us to check-in early. The condo was spacious, clean, and well-stocked. We especially loved being able to walk out to the beach every night to watch the sunset. Overall, one of our most relaxing vacations in Maui!
What an amazing trip. This is our 3rd time to Maui, but our first time saying in Kaanapali Shores. It is in a great location, and has everything you need on property or within walking distance. We saw whales everyday from the beach, and spent tons of time playing in the pool. What an amazing time. The condo is well equipped, quiet, and has a view of the ocean from the lanai and the bedroom. Great trip.
We enjoyed our stay at the condo. The complex seems to be a bit older, but the condo was nice and had everything we needed. We liked having a ground floor unit with washer/dryer inside. There is a smaller beach area in front of the complex that appears during low tide. Otherwise, it’s rocky. But the neighboring complex has a larger beach area that is adjoined and just steps from this one. It’s also an easy walk to the boardwalk and the larger Ka’anapali beach area. Restaurants and a grocery store are in short walking distance too. Overall, we’d look at staying here again next time we visit Maui.
Great location with a view of the water, easy access from parking lot and walk right out to the beach. It says it sleeps 4 but it’s very small. We had 3 for a couple days and it was a little crowded, but I’d stay here again with just 2 of us
We rented 2 suites at this resort for a family vacation. Our adult children stayed in this one. Great resort. Spacious suite. Beautiful beach. A few minor issues that our kids didn’t tell us about with the room and when reported, owner was a bit defensive because we didn’t tell her on day 1. Not a deal breaker for staying there but the tone was not what I would expect from a VRBO owner. All the reviews are 5 stars. Ours isn’t just because of the emails. Otherwise great spot!
We loved the location! The resort is beautiful! Layout of the condo is very nice! Perfect location within the resort, east access to the parking lot and beach and shops!

The unit is outstanding. It is large and spacious, private with a great view. Waking up to the sounds of the ocean are magnificent. We enjoyed sitting on the lanai having dinner, coffee, or a cocktail. Fereshteh was responsive and very accomodating. Overall, a great vacation experience.
