Description of the unit was exactly as listed. Loved the area and unit.
It was absolutely amazing for my family. We loved everything about this place, the location was right next to the pool and so peaceful and quiet, walking distance to food trucks and the beautiful resort. The house was incredibly clean and open. We all had our own space and the kitchen and slider were so cool to have! Everything about it was dreamy and we didn’t want to leave. And we can’t wait to come back

We cannot say enough about how special this property is. Spacious enough to accommodate 5 adults and one teen very comfortably for well over a week. A semi-private pool just steps away. Benefits of being on a large resort property without all of the people (spa, concierge, convenience shop, etc). Highly recommend!
A few small watch-outs to consider with this luxury experience:
1. Would be very nice to have a Smart TV in the living room to allow guests to stream what they want to watch. While we normally do not watch TV on holiday, the vibe of this place was so comfy that there were nights we stayed in and made dinner and wanted to watch a movie. We could only do it by going out to buy an HDMI cable and connecting to a MAC. This is a miss.
2. Housekeeping is only available for a $300 fee. So if you stay for awhile (we were there 12 nights) you end up doing a lot of laundry for towels. It would be great to offer a turn of sheets and towels if you're there more than a week.
3. It would be great if there were pool toys/rafts available in the garage. We had to purchase them. This one is minor...
Again, highly, highly recommend this property. Can't wait to go back!
I enjoyed the area. Quiet and not a lot of people around which was nice. Very spacious. Clean. They had a garage to park in that was very nice. I enjoyed the pool and hottub being close and not crowded. Although it was off season which helped. Helpful and friendly to deal with.
We loved our stay at Honua Kai. The condo felt spacious for our family. Great that each couple had their own bathroom. Nice to have the garage and parking space right next to us--ease in loading an infant, golf clubs, surf board etc. The space was beautiful and we loved the property. Lovely lanai to enjoy meals outside. Nice to be close to jacuzzi. We used several of the pools and enjoyed snorkeling right in front of the property.
Beautiful 3 bedroom Villa in Honua Kai Resort. Fereshteh was very responsive to our email questions and quick to respond to an ice maker and plumbing issue. The pool outside our door was great and we also took advantage of the pool with the slide near the high rise buildings. Beach access was just a short walk. Also loved that there was a food truck park right across the street and a grocery store nearby. Would definitely stay here again!
Our main issue with the home was there were no fitted sheets on the bed and no duvet cover. Instead - you slept in a flat sheet sandwich with one flat sheet below you, one over you, then a quilt and then another flat sheet on top of the quilt. As you can imagine, the bottom sheet never stayed tucked in, nor did the ones sandwiching the quilt. In addition there were strange retangular plastic items (anti-theft devices?) attached to one corner of each bed pillow which made the pillows uncomfortable if you did not orient them the right way. Further, there were dead bugs in the master bathroom on the sink counter and in the WC as well as ants after anything was cooked on the stove. In addition, although we reported a blinking light on the lanai - the management never followed up, and it was never repaired or replaced. Finally, the gasket of the washing machine was covered in black mold. We purchased vinegar and attempted to clean the mold the best we could, but it probably needed to be replaced. We have stayed at other units at Honua Kai and have not had moldy washers or anti-theft devices on pillows, etc.
Villa was absolutely amazing. Well equipped and lots of space for our large family (8). Swimming pool just steps away from the Villa. Access to more pools, waterslide, and beach access just a short walk. The resort grounds is beautifuly landscaped. We loved hanging out on the lanai where we are most of our meals. We definitely felt at home while on vacation. We are ready to book our next trip at this location.
Fantastic family stay for 3 generations get together. Ideal location that was easy walking distance to the 3 big pools on the resort, the beach, and Dukes. And this 11A unit was particularly close to the food truck pod, grocery store, and strip mall with food options. This unit had a huge lanai that was only 20 feet from the nearby swimming pool/hot tub/fire pit as well. It was spacious, high-end, with a gorgeous lanai that we used for most of our meals. The sun just missed the unit as well, so you get great light without having to pull down the sunshade. Would def stay again, worth every penny!
In short, this property worked perfectly for us. The privacy was perfect and the unit was large, spacious and clean. The lanai was great as was the private pool. The beach is a short walk and it was nice to be at the back of the property away from the crowds. We will book again for sure. We were a party of 7 with 2 adults and 5 teens. Kids were thrilled to finally have enough room!
