We enjoy the size of the property. It is a nice walking area with beach path and street side walking as option when path is at peak. Having a full kitchen is a wonderful option on a longer stay.
We love this property and have been here before, although this specific unit was new to us. It is a lovely, fully renovated unit and has all of the touches of home. I traveled with my children (20, 16 and 11) and they had a great time as well. The building is in a great location and close to all amenities. All of the resorts in that area are adjacent to one another so you can walk up and down the beach and explore a lot. The only gripe from my kids is that the trundle / pullout in the living room was not very comfortable, so I would not put older kiddos / adults on the pullout. The host was very welcoming, kind and responsive and I actually got to meet her in person before we left. We love this place and we will be back. Thank you!
We have stayed at 5 star properties all over the world and travelled extensively for business- this is our #1 favourite accommodation. The unit is beautifully decorated and well appointed; property management first class. The balcony alone, with sun exposure most of the day, is almost as large as sq footage of hotel rooms at the Westin resort. The location of the Whaler is ideal for the right mix of beach, perfectly landscaped grounds, and steps away from shopping and restaurants.
This place was great all the way around. Well appointed, clean, great property and location! Owner had great communication and was easy to interact with. I wish they had a second one with 2 bedrooms to enjoy with friends, but we will be back to this location if we find ourselves back on Maui.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The property exceeded our expectations and this is the 3rd condo we have stayed in at The Whaler. The condo had EVERYTHING you will need. It has a perfect layout, all the amenities, very clean and well stocked. We look forward to staying here during our next visit!
This is the best of the four Whaler units we have stayed in (so far). Love the location. The remodel and furnishings are top notch. We even used the beach umbrella that was on the lanai. Cindy was extremely helpful in getting us set up for our stay. We hope we’ll be able to return to 519 in the future. Mahalo.
This newly remolded unit is stunning! Everything is top notch. The location is wonderful - we saw so many whales from the balcony. Cindy, the manager, is friendly and helpful. She will do anything to help if you have a need. Don't worry about bringing basics on the first day (other than coffee). Toilet paper, paper towel, trash bags, dishwasher pods and laundry pods all provided. We would love to stay here again.
This was my family’s first trip to The Whaler, and I’m SO glad we found it! We absolutely loved our stay here, and Cindy, the property manager was instrumental in securing this, as well as helping us throughout our stay. We were surprised by how great the amenities were, having come from a full service resort before our stay here. There are beach chairs, and umbrellas, some to rent and some complementary. The condo is fantastic, great views, and very comfortable. Favorite part is sleeping with the slider open and listening to the ocean waves all night long. The location is amazing, with Whaler’s Village right next door, for great food and shopping. Black Rock is a short walk down the beach too.

I booked this unit while going to the island for the Maui Marathon, it was conveniently located near the starting line. The unit was beautiful with an incredible location surrounded by shops, restaurants and the grocery store. I enjoyed many home cooked meals with fruits from the farmers markets on the huge patio. The views were stunning. The staff were were friendly and helpful. Looking forward to booking again next April!
Cindy was very easy to communicate with, friendly and accommodating. We don’t usually get to meet the owners or managers so it was a pleasant surprise! We enjoyed watching the beautiful sunsets from the convenient tables in the bbq area. We would definitely rent this unit again!

We love the Whaler! Cindy was an Awesome host! She is very prompt to answer emails and questions you have. The unit was very nice, clean and well appointed. I think it looks much better in person than the photos depict! This unit is very close to the elevator for those who don't want a long walk. We had zero problems finding garage parking. Loved that Cindy makes sure the unit has cleaning supplies and laundry detergent as well as a nice selection of spices, oils and cooking utensils. The King-size bed is very comfortable, and my husband loved the strong shower head and endless hot water!
We got to meet Cindy and John while we were there, and Cindy truly is the Whaler Ambassador!
