We have stayed at the Whaler many times over the years and this is by far the nicest condo we have stayed in at the Whaler. The unit was super clean and it had all of the amenities that we needed. The property manager checked in with us from time to time to make sure we had plenty of towels, toilet paper, etc. the condo was also nicely equipped with local soap, shampoo, conditioner and other items. We will definitely look to stay in his unit again next year.
Great property, very happy with amenities and rooms
Very nice place. Check in was easy, everything in the condo that you need (for cooking etc), and easy access to the beach. Downside was we didn’t know we would be getting charged an additional 35 a day for amenities. We didn’t have a car so didn’t need to park, and they don’t have a restaurant or anything that would be considered an amenity so we weren’t super happy about that. Also was told the afternoon prior that the “pest company” would be spraying the inside of the unit at 9:00 AM and we’d have to be gone for a few hours. We had grandkids with us so asked them not to come.
We came for our daughter’s graduation trip and had an amazing time! Loved the location and being right next to Whalers Village. The beach was beautiful and loved that the resort provided chairs for us out on the beach at no extra charge. Also grateful for the chairs and cooler the condo itself had for when we drove down to Kihei for the day. Loved the convenience of a resort but the comfort of a spacious condo. Would highly recommend this condo to anyone wanting to stay in this area!
We took our dad to Maui for his 90th birthday and to make new family vacay memories. We wanted a location that was close to the boardwalk and beach. This luxury condo provided that and more. Just steps from the beach and The Whaler even provided chairs! Having Whaler’s Village right next-door was another plus. The interior was decorated very nicely and it gave you a very homey, tropical feel. We definitely recommend this place and give it 5 stars all around. We would love to come back and stay here again!

We loved staying in this unit. The location is NOT oceanfront, but it definitely has an ocean view. We liked being on the corner. The wrap around lanai is HUGE and very ample for outdoor relaxation, dining, etc. Every bedroom has access to the lanai as does the Dining Room and Great Room. For anyone that may be concerned about overlooking Whaler's Village, noise was NEVER an issue. It was very quiet.The size of the unit was great for the 4 of us. The condo felt very large and accommodating. It was VERY CLEAN and the kitchen was well outfitted. We ate breakfast and lunch in the condo daily and went out for dinner. No issues with the kitchen not having what we needed. The bathrooms were especially updated, clean, a good size and nice. Each couple had their own bathroom. The unit overall met all of our needs. It was not fully updated or overly modern, but it was absolutely adequate in every way. We loved it and have no complaints. We would absolutely book this unit again and again. Check-in at The Whaler was a breeze and any pre check-in questions I had were answered quickly and completely by the owner. The location CANNOT be beat. Whaler's Village was a 3-minute walk away and we were close to so many great restaurants. There is also a Starbucks at The Westin next door.We loved our experience and can't wait to visit again...SOON!

Beautiful, spacious condo with great views. You cannot beat this location. Right on Kaanapali Beach with Whalers Village next door. Easy to get around the island for excursions as well. Phenomenal!
This was a very nice property. Spacious, clean, very well equipped kitchen with more than enough supplies to cook!. They had coolers, lawn chairs, boogie boards and sand toys. If something is needed The Snorkel Store is 5 minutes away for rentals. Whaler is great location to beach, restaurants & shopping.
I do not think the beach is as calm as the advertisement. You can also walk north past black rock to a calmer beach. Maybe depends on the season.
Biggest negative to the unit is Lanai noise. It is the SE corner of the property and facing Whaler Village parking garage and delivery trucks, so you hear trucks in the morning/day. We still enjoyed the lanai during our stay despite the noise. Some days were still very windy on the lanai, but the lower level location is a benefit to the higher levels of the complex
Master king bed looks lumpy and about ready for a replacement, but was fairly comfortable. If couples sleep in the middle of the bed together, there is a hump to overcome! Additional washcloths and handtowels would be nice.
The Whaler also offers free shared laundry machines.
Property itself is very nice. We ended up buying our own garbage bags as the one provided for the kitchen were very flimsy and made a mess every time we tried to empty. We do cook pretty much all of our meals. The kitchen is well equipped. However, more storage type containers would have been helpful. Use for leftovers. Period. It was nice having all the beach items, the kids truly enjoyed the boogie boards.
We loved everything about this location. Everyone was very helpful and accommodating. Shopping and restaurants are just a short walk away.
