Excellent location with close walking distance to great restaurants and shopping around Whaler's Village. Loved the pool and spa area.Owner responds promptly to any questions or needs.
Everyone has their own opinion as to what is considered clean. For us, our initial impression was the condo was not clean, at least in our minds. Hair and finger prints everywhere from the tubs to the bathroom walls. Bedding was stained and musty smelling as well as the towels. We did throw the towels and some bedding in the wash while we were there to help out. That said, the condo was well equipped for the cost of the week, especially compared to other condos in the building. Yes it is dated but it was well equipped and we expected it to have the dated charm of 1980’s Hawaii. The safe in the unit was also of vintage 1980 and it required a quarter to use it ….which actually jammed the safe and we could not get the key out. Luckily we did not have anything in it as we did not trust it just by how old it was.The condo owner/host, Regan, was fantastic to deal with. She was mortified when we contacted her upon our arrival with our concerns. She did what she could from afar for us and we did appreciate her prompt communication with us. She even tried to get a new digital safe for us to use but it would not have arrived in time. She did give us a little refund which was not necessary but appreciated. She also followed up with her cleaner and then circled back to us to let us know. Either way, our vacation was still fantastic and I am satisfied the owner will take care of these concerns for her future guests.

If I cold give it a 100 stars I would. This is the 1st time using VRBO and couldn't be happier with the host and property. Check-in at the main office was super easy and we entered the condo. Just our style. It felt like your aunts house, cozy, inviting, comfortable. Weren't afraid to kick off shoes and jump on the sofa. Full sized kitchen which made it perfect for morning breakfasts. saved lots of with being able to eat in. Had a patio looking out at the gorgeous mountains. Also a bin with boogey boards, umbrellas, chairs in case u wanted to take them to the beaches. The property is like a resort with 2 swimming pools, 2 jacuzzis and several grills. They even had a father/son duo grill for you if u wanted to chill. Great, great family environment. Location and actual condo could not be better. The host was the best. Easy to communicate with. Wanted us to relax and didn't have a problem when we had the whole family (7 total) over for breakfast. The host could not have been sweeter and kind. This condo and property will be our go-to for now on. not one negative thing to say about any of it.

I hesitate to write this review because I don't want to let everyone in on the secret....but this unit (and property manager) are simply the best value you can get in Ka'anapali. I have been coming to this beach for 40 years, and this is simply the best location and best set-up for a multi-day vacation - a large spacious condo with a kitchen. Other units may be more modern or have better views, but will run you double the price. Other hotels will be similar. This exact location on the beach has the best depth, the best waves, and best proximity to Whalers village. The property manager is lovely and highly communicative. Thank you.

A location! Great beach, boardwalk, restaurants and shopping all around the property. Property was clean and had all amenities advertised. Sliding door to second bedroom doesn’t offer much privacy or separation if others are in living area.
Love Kaanapali - could walk to every thing. Unit was clean with a stunning Mountain View & partial ocean view. Nice to have air conditioning at the end of a warm day. Good stock of beach chairs, umbrellas & boogie boards for kids to use. Rented snorkeling gear from concierge which was surprisingly a good deal for the week (40!) Nice option to cook at poolside bbq’s too! Host was very responsive. Thank you for Sharing!
After being owners for 45 years, this was our first time renting. The condo was well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay (beds were so comfy!).The owner was great when we had questions. Friendly and responsive which added to the overall experience.Kaanapali is still our favorite spot, and this resort remains the best on the beach. The staff is dedicated and hardworking, the families who vacation here are amazing, and you cant go wrong renting this condo!
The condo is in a great location, clean and comfy beds. The pools, hot tubs, use of outdoor grills and access to beach is wonderful. Everyone onsite is helpful and friendly. The owner was very responsive to questions before arrival and question after arrival. We left an item behind and the owner helped follow up to find it. We enjoyed our stay! Will book here again if we can make another visit!
We enjoyed beautiful views of the mountain and the ocean from the deck. We had a very family relaxing vacation and were able to enjoy all of western Maui from this centrally located condo. Great snorkeling sites and tasty restaurants are in walking distance.

Really. Great stay the only thing was that we couldn’t watch TV someone before us messed it up and I had to call the owner but it never got fixed not a big problem since they have TV’s at the pool. The Confo was clean and easy to find I would just say it is a little outdated but we would definitely stay in it again
We were very impressed with our stay at Kaanapali Alii. It was a great price for the location, very close to Whalers Village which has an abundance of shops and restaurants. The outdoor facilities are spotless and we enjoyed BBQ’ing a few nights as it was just nice to relax at the resort. The apartment itself is slightly dated but don’t let that stop you from staying here as the beds are very comfortable and it has everything you need. The views from the balcony are lovely too! Would not hesitate to return here or recommend to friends and family
We loved this resort. The pool and hot tub was great. We enjoyed the personal chef cooking us dinner on the BBQ one night-what a treat! Very close distance to Whalers village with great shopping and restaurants. Condo was clean, beds comfortable and really quiet Unit. Had all the amenities we needed. Large deck overlooking the mountains. Next time we need to stay longer.
I’ve stayed at the Kaanapali Alii Since I was a kid and I absolutely love this place!
This unit is perfect! We spent every morning on the balcony, looking at the great view, and there is so much space it makes you feel like you’re home.
Can’t beat the location as it’s a quick walk down to Whaler Village and a short drive anywhere you need to go. The boogie boarding is right outside our hotel with my kids loved.
I will absolutely stay here again.Regan was amazing to work with and very friendly and informative. I highly recommend this unit if you’re considering going to Maui!’

Our VRBO was exactly like it was described. Close to the beach, restaurants and shopping. We could walk along the beach to almost every thing. It is a wonderful area.
The Kaanapali Alii condo complex is one of the finest on the beach. While this condo is all of the original decor, it is clean, well equipped and large by Kaanapali standards. We have been coming to this area annually for 20 years and have stayed at almost every venue in the area. I would definitely come back and book this condo again. The owner was great and the staff at the Alii was very helpful.
Property was exactly as described and perfect for our week in Maui. The resort and accommodation were very relaxing and we loved having access to the free beach chairs and boogie boards provided by the property owner.
