Kaanapali Alii is very nice. Unit is a bit dated and has minor maintenance issues.

We have stayed at the Alii over five times and have loved our accommodations. This year, we were very unhappy with our condo. The description of "beautiful remodel" is deceiving. The unit is outdated and in need of repairs
I am a former owner @ the Alii, I knew what to expect even if Hyatt is associated with the property. However, the State of Hawaii with their rescue of Lahaina failed miserably. We never were in danger, Alii staff and folks staying there all looked out for each other. Would I come back again? ABSOLUTELY, if I had anything negative it would be the kitchen utensils, pots & pans. One should expect complete sets than what we had. If you want more detailed information please reach out to me.

This condo was perfect for our family of 4. Right on the beach, on the same strip as the Westin, Hyatt, and Sheraton. Very nice pool with towel service, covered beach chairs, hot tub, and drink station, with direct access from the pool to the beach. Great health club. Free, ample parking. Had all the advantages of the big resorts, but you get a much larger room (2 BR, 2 bath, full kitchen, large, modern washer-dryer, beach toys, cooler) for less money. Highly recommended for families.
This condo was a great size and fit our family well. It is steps away from the beach and had everything we needed. Would highly recommend.
Overall we had a good time. The condo is very nice. The view is stunning, while only a partial ocean view. All of the necessary amenities were supplied. The location is probably the best feature. Bars, restaurants, shopping, all walking distance. The hall bathroom shower drains slowly. The secondary bedroom mattress needs to be replaced. Its flat and feels cheap, not consistent with the experience. The pool area is great. They ask to wear a pool armband and bring a towel card, but no one asked or challenged us when we forgot. Never had a problem with parking. The bellhop was on the spot, helping with luggage and groceries. The gym is very nice, complete, clean, well equipped, better than most hotel gyms. The checkout requests were simple, just empty the trash and put dishes in dish washer. Overall we'd definitely return.
