Great stay! Incredible view, updated kitchen, glad that it had some beach toys, and accessories to utilize, which made our stay a lot easier! Only wish that the kitchen had ammenities like oil, salt, etc. Hawaii is already an expensive stay, and we have always appreciated that our short term rentals have always left behind those things for us before.

Parking system was horrible, old hotel, need update and deep cleaning. But closed to Waikiki.
Our family of four stayed 6 nights, the condo had everything we needed for a perfect beach day. Location was a short walk to the lagoon/beach. The host, James was very responsive and it was nice to have laundry in the building.
This condo is very clean, comfortable, good king bed, well equipped kitchen, only negatives, small lanai, couch is quite short. Nice big bathroom with Wash-it. Property manager prompt to answer.
Staying at the Ilikai Marina was a great choice. There were 3 chairs available for the beach, beach towels, and plenty of bathing towels. The bed is incredibly comfortable. The view out of the lanai is gorgeous and right on the marina. Great location and you can walk to many things, including the beach of course. Unfortunately, after booking the Vrbo, we were informed the lanai would be under construction and we were offered a cancelation or discount and opted for the discount. I’m still glad we stayed here especially after the reasonable discount, however I will note the lanai is the only way you can “open a window.” The window in the bedroom cannot be opened, so we were sad when we stayed that we couldn’t open up anything for a breeze! Small price to pay for an otherwise great space.
Overall our stay was good. We really enjoyed the proximity to the beach & the ability to walk to stores & places to eat. The view is wonderful.

This is our second stay at this condo. It’s in a great spot, beautiful views over the marina, close to shopping and the beach. The condo is comfortable and has all we needed, although it is looking a little worn in places. It is very noisy in the morning with garbage trucks and traffic and there was construction work being done right below our lanai the week we were there so it was difficult to stay in the condo during the day. But we still enjoyed our visit very much!
Location is perfect for beaches & sunsets. Accommodations were comfortable except for the bed pillows. Unfortunately, during our stay there was construction going on during the 1st week of our stay without any notifications from property management, noise started way too early & lasted most of the day. Other than that issue, I would stay again.
Very nice space and layout. Definitely, enough room for 2 people. Pull out couch was not comfortable and the you could hear everything going on on the street below. Just a bit too loud for my preference. The room itself was great.
Pros: The view of the marina is great. We enjoyed watching the sunset from the balcony and also the Hilton fireworks. The location is perfect! It is near the beach, Ala Moana Mall, ABC store, post office, Magic Island, and so much more! Check-in was a breeze, as was checking out. The unit was nice and had all the comforts of home. It was great that there was a laundry room on another floor. Trash and Recycling was easy to navigate. Parking was convenient. Cons: The construction noise began on the last four days we were there, and they started at 8 a.m. It is unfortunate, but it is what it is.
We had a wonderful stay! The condo was clean and set up perfectly for a couple/small family. The location was perfect. Within walking distance from shops, restaurants, the mall, and beach.
Ongoing construction downstairs was the only negative
aspect of the stay.
My stay was good. The condo was clean. The views are pretty. I just hated the noise from the protesting from the nearby hotel; not the hosts fault though. I heard a little noise from the Charthouse and/or bar (this was during Halloween weekend) but it wasn’t too bad, it didn’t last long, maybe an hour.
Our condo was tastefully decorated & had plenty of room for the two of us:)
We were pleasantly surprised by our harbor & Magic Island views- Especially beautiful at sunset 🌅 !!
Parking was very reasonably priced with daily in and out Accessibility, super nice to park on the same level as The condo!
The couple of times we needed to talk to the property management were taken care of immediately or at least asap.
Would we recommend your place? YES! YES!! YES!!

The room was acceptable but the constuction going on in the building forced us to move. At first the manager wanted to give us a full refund if we moved out immediately but it not that easy to find accomadations on shor notice so we stayed another night and they chanrged us for that night. not the best policy for the inconvience but i agreed. I would not recommend captin cook because they should have known that constuction had been going on for two months.

Much need of repairs and paint job
It was great. I wanted to let you know the back right stove burner doesn’t work. The cabinet door next to dishwasher has a hinge ready to break. Also a little sand on the floor and fitted sheet for pullout bed.
We’ve stayed in Ilikai before and decided to stay again. The place was great, better than the unit we stayed in previously. The only issue was the restaurant downstairs was under construction and the noise was making our stay uncomfortable. Captain Cook was able to provide a solution to help us so we didn’t have to worry about moving units and we really appreciate the effort!

Nice place to stay for your getaway. We chose this place because we wanted to save a little money making some of our own meals. Waikiki is expensive and no way around it. But instead of spending money on food, we spent it on adventures. No need for my family to have resort scenery if we are not even in our room but to sleep. We were out and about seeing the island daily. i'd definitely book here again.
Room was clean and had plenty of room to sleep three. Excellent location with the beach, restaurants and shopping only a five minute walk away. All cooking utensils plus plates (ect) and a dishwasher for easy clean up. They views from the small balcony over the marina were amazing
The facilities were good with exception on construction that started at 7:30am each weekday morning. Doubt that there was anything the property managers could do about the construction.

Stayed here for three days with my husband and 1 yr old. Check in was easy and the property managers were very helpful with whatever we needed. Although we were on the lower floors the outside traffic wasn’t too loud. Figuring out the tv was a little difficult but who’s going to stay and watch tv while on vacation!? Very convenient that there was an abc store across the way for last minute items. Even was able to catch the fireworks from the Hilton lagoon. Still a great view

We have been to Honolulu 30+ times over the past 20+ years. Resort fees at adjacent properties led us to seek other locations to stay. Condo 590 was our third stay at the Ilikai Marina (May 9 - May 24). It is conveniently located within walking distance of Ala Moana Center, parks, surfing, swimming and many, many restaurants. Multiple bus stops, trolley stops, grocery stores, and convenient stores are just minutes away on foot. Condo 590 had everything necessary to make our stay enjoyable: towels, bedding, minimum starting toiletries, cable television (Spectrum basic service), Wi-Fi (password protected), pots, pans, dishes, and cutlery. The view? Amazing! Beautiful! The Friday-night fireworks sponsored by the Hilton Hawaiian Village are breathtaking and never get old. [I have merely copied my review from our stay May 2023 for 15 days.)
