My family had an incredible experience staying at this condo! The lanai offered a stunning view of the mountains and the open space below — perfect for enjoying breakfast and watching the sunrise. Everything inside was spotless, modern, and tastefully decorated. The layout was spacious and comfortable, with plenty of natural light and all the amenities we could possibly need.The kitchen was fully equipped, making it easy to prepare meals, and the living area was perfect for relaxing after a long day.The Honua Kai Resort couldn’t have been better — just steps away from restaurants, shops, the boardwalk, and the beach, yet still quiet and peaceful. The resort’s amenities, including the pool and fitness center, were well-maintained and easily accessible. I’d even say Honua Kai has the largest pool area of any resort on Maui’s west side!Our host, Bob, was excellent to work with — friendly, responsive, and made check-in and check-out completely hassle-free. He communicated with us several times before and during our stay to ensure we had everything we needed and that everything was going smoothly.Overall, this condo exceeded our expectations in every way. We’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, stylish, and relaxing place to stay in Maui!

I cannot recommend this property enough. My husband and I have travelled all over the world, and the accommodations of this property were by far one of the best! The place itself is stunning and had everything we could need. The kitchen was perfectly stocked for cooking, the bathrooms had so many towels and a huge shower, the lanai was so fun to eat and relax on, etc.
We had a fantastic time in Maui and loved our experience with this condo. It worked out perfectly for our family of four for our 10 day stay. The second bedroom had 2 twin beds which could also be converted into 1 king bed so the set up worked well for our 2 children. There was also 4 beach chairs and a cooler available for use and the kitchen was well stocked. We had plenty of bath towels and the pool towels were easy to get at the towel exchange cabinets down near the pool. It was also nice having a washer and dryer. Favorite activities on the island included: a snorkeling sailboat tour to Molokini, Road to Hana, Haleakala, Big Beach, Shave Ice, Luau, Surf Lessons and lots of good seafood. Duke's which is the restaurant near the beach on property was also very good and I recommend making dinner reservations in advance (1 month of more) for most of the popular spots. Overall, this is a very well maintained property and extremely family friendly. The pools and beach were beautiful and the condo was great! Thank you and Aloha!
Wonderful for families with kids. Great unit and resort
My family and I (husband 2 teens) stayed here in April 2025 and found the condo to be just about perfect. We really appreciated the fact that there were beach chairs and a cooler for us to use. The condo was well-stocked, very clean and just the right size for a family of 4. The location is wonderful with a grocery store right across the street, the beach right out front, food truck park next store and Whaler's Village just a short -drive (or a long walk) away. Bob was excellent at responding to my questions really quickly and checked in with us during the trip to make sure everything was going well. I'll be honest, my only hesitation with booking this property was that it was a mountain-view, not an ocean-view and I'm so glad I didn't let that impact my decision to book this condo as the mountain views were gorgeous!

Everything was better than we have ever experienced compared to any of our past VRBO rentals. The condo was well stocked for arrival and the condo layout and mountain view was simply amazing. Thank you Bob for a wonderful vacation.

Everything was just as described. Gorgeous property, very clean unit and everything you need in the kitchen. Loved the welcome binder on coffee table that outlines the do and don'ts (not many of those). Along with local restaurants, beaches, and sightseeing opportunities around the area. I will definitely share this info with others. Great place to stay on Maui!

We had a wonderful time staying at Bob and Linda’s condo at Honua Kai. Bob and Linda were amazing, tentative hosts that thought of absolutely everything you could need while staying at their condo. The condo was clean and well stocked with all amenities (even a box fan for white noise—our kids are used to sleeping with a fan at night). The resort’s pools were loved by our kids (4, 7 and 9) and we enjoyed playing at the beach. One of our favorite beaches (Napili beach) is only 15 min away. We also loved eating at “Dukes”. We absolutely loved everything about our stay and hope to be back soon!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The unit is excellent for a family of 4+. We stayed with our 2 young boys, both under the age of 6 and we all had a blast. Communication was proactive and clear. Instructions were clear. Check-in and check-out were smooth. No complaints, and would happily stay again.
I was extremely happy with the stay. The unit itself is very nice, with excellent views of the Mountains, modern appliances, and nice appointments.
The Kaanapali location is also a huge plus. The beach was a very short walk past the pool and was fantastic, with whale sightings, sea turtles, and plenty of space. The pool itself is also great, with the Duke's bar just a short walk away. Great snorkeling is a reasonable walk down the boardwalk at adjacent beach park.
There were many great restaurants, grocery stores, and other options a short drive away as well.
Would recommend this place for sure.

We have stayed at Honua Kai many times and really enjoyed this unit. The location was perfect, with a lovely view of the mountain and rainbows and a home-like feel. The manager was very attentive and easy to reach, and accommodated all of our requests easily. Will definitely be back!
