This house and location were perfect for our family. Short walk to the beach to see the turtles each day, and beautiful sunsets. The house worked great, and the outdoor covered space was fantastic. The house also had several beach chairs which was extremely helpful. Loved our stay!

We loved everything about our stay. Easy check in. Beautiful, well furnished house conveniently located within a short walk from the beach. We really loved hanging out on the lanai and in the hot tub. We only wish we had more time at the Honu house! If we ever make our way back to Kauai we look forward to staying in the Honu house again.
This was such a fantastic stay. Amazing house, beautifully decorated. We felt like everything we could possibly ask for had already been attended to and supplied. My husband and I slept in the bunk room upstairs with the kiddos and they are all true queens. Very comfortable beds. The other adults slept downstairs and they really enjoyed their rooms too. I took an afternoon nap on the swing bed (so peaceful)! Access to the Poipu Beach Athletic Club was a HUGE benefit for us. The kids loved the pool and the adults loved the atmosphere and beverages. We ate fresh mangoes right off the tree and then walked down to Poipu Beach every evening to check out the turtles. Pro-tip #1: The turtles also surf in the waves all day at the little cove just at the end of the street. Pro-tip #2: Da Crack Mexican food makes for a wonderful and cost effective dinner! We brought it back to the house one night and had dinner on the gorgeous back deck. Mahalo, Tina! Thank you for sharing your lovely vacation home with us!
Beautiful, comfortable home in fabulous location. We loved being able to walk to beaches to swim, snorkel, body surf and see the turtles. One evening we saw the turtles by the full moon, simply magical. The use of the club was great to play pickleball just a short drive away. Thank you for sharing your home, we are grateful for the wonderful family memories created there.
The house was beautiful, just the right size for our family of 7. The location was perfect, super easy walk to two awesome beaches (one good for boogie boarding and the other good for snorkeling and calm swims ) Good central location to access interesting sites on the island . Absolutely LOVED it!

We recently stayed for the second time - both with family and friends. Honu House is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the Poipu beaches - just 1 block away. They provide everything needed for special cooking at home nights, to beach fun. We love the covered porch, outdoor showers and fully equipped kitchen. Can't say enough - the host is very responsive - thank you for another great stay!

We found everything we could want including the beach chairs and wagon to pull them in. Simply the best VRBO we have experienced. This property was a great home for 6 adults to stay. The indoor and outdoor living areas were perfect. Had everything we needed and more.
We had a great trip for our entire family at the Honu House. It’s practically brand new, well laid out and has everything you need for a great stay at the beach. We plan on rebooking every time we come with kids/grandkids and friends.
Perfect location steps from the beach with plenty of room for our family. Well equipped kitchen and comfy mattresses. Excellent set up for hanging out in the large family room with accordion doors to lanai. All sorts of beach items available and the hot tub was fantastic!
We came to Kauai to celebrate my 40th birthday. There were 5 adults in our party. We loved the king size beds on the first floor and the queen bunk beds on the 2nd floor. The house had everything we needed, except the dryer was broken during our stay.
The house was super clean and beautiful. We sat out on the lanai for breakfast and we loved the house had AC and was always a great temperature.
The location was perfect. Walking to the beach or to get a hot dog. We also loved the access to the club to swim and play pickleball.
I would recommend this house to anyone visiting Kauai. Tina was friendly and responsive. 10/10 recommend!

Your kitchen has all the necessary tools for preparing meals. The bedrooms are so nice with the AC. The outdoor covered lanai is so relaxing. Walking distance to the beach was the best. We took advantage of the beach chairs and umbrellas We will be returning. Thank you!!
This house has everything you would want for a perfect stay in Poipu paradise. We all loved the outdoor shower, hot tub, massive lanai for family dinners (grill Costco steaks), balcony lanai with swinging bench, short walk to the beach, great mix of fans and A/C, and overall charm of design and decor. Host Tina was extremely professional and accomodating. We hope we can make it back soon!
Tina is an amazing host, and this is an amazing house! It's right around the corner from Poipu Beach, making it a great launch pad to explore the island. It's our second time staying here and won't be our last.
We had two families stay 5 nights in this house. 2 couples with 2 kids each (total of 8). The upstairs bedroom has two sets of large bunk beds, each of which must’ve been at least a full sized bed. The kids loved having this space to themselves! The downstairs has 2 bedrooms with super cozy kings beds and the master bedroom even has an outdoor showers with 2 shower heads! This was a hit with the whole house. The kitchen is beautifully renovated, fully stocked, and had everything we needed, including seasoning. We really appreciated this since it allowed us to cook meals at home more often. The living room had very cozy couches and a big tv which was great for when we just wanted to relax. Best of all was the outside patio…we ate most of our meals out here and the kids loved the access to the back yard. The location is amazing and we walked to Poipu beach most days, which had sea turtles!!
Overall, I highly recommend this house for anyone but especially those with young kids. Both the house itself and the location is utterly amazing!! Tina, the host, was very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed to have an amazing vacation.
This was the third time my family stayed in this beautiful house and we enjoyed just as much as the previous 2 stays. The house is well appointed and has a perfect location. We love walking down to Poipu beach park in the morning to see the turtles, outdoor showers, the sounds of the beautiful tropical birds, and dinners outside on the lanai. We can't wait for our next trip!
Honu House has it all! We were nervous about planning such a big trip but this home had everything we needed. With so many extras, we seemed to find something new every day. Our first night was welcomed by huge, comfortable beds- and we have very picky sleepers! The never-ending supply of fresh mangos was heavenly. Location couldn’t be topped with such a quick walk to beaches, but just enough distance and vegetation to feel privacy at home. There was plenty to do, even on lazy, no-agenda days. Our teens enjoyed finding lizards around the property, naming the chickens, talking to friends back home while hanging out on the swing bed, and of course the private hot tub. My senior had endless things to Instagram about like making collages with different flowers growing around the property, the artwork on the walls, or counting the variety of pineapple decorations in the house. There was no problem eating most of our meals at home in the well-organized, fully loaded kitchen, and most meals were eaten outside. The open floor concept really kept us connected. Family could be a part of the conversation whether they were relaxing on the lanai furniture, eating at the outdoor table, lounging on the swivel sofas, or cooking in the kitchen! What a wonderful place to vacation. Hope to return to this paradise when our next teen graduates!
Everything was as advertised. We had 8 adults/teens and it was very comfortable. Lots of area to relax, eat and socialize, as well as private areas to read or get away. I'm already looking at options to install an outside shower for back home...gotta try that out!

What a great place to spend a week with 4 other people. So close to the beach! The house had everything we needed as promised. LOVED the big glass door that opened up the whole living room to the lanai!
This home was absolutely everything we needed! Our group of 6 adults had enough space to spread out. The kitchen had all the equipment we could possibly need, there were plenty of blankets and towels, and we LOVED having the beautiful lanai to enjoy the weather! Some of the pictures really don’t do it justice - this is a stunning home! We especially loved the huge glass door that opens up for an open air feel. The host was awesome in communications too! We would absolutely stay here again.
This is our second stay here and continues to be the best house rental we've ever stayed in. It is so well stocked for cooking big family meals, spending all the day at the beach, and lounging on the lanai. We were so comfortable and needed nothing - the house had it all!
This was our 3rd time staying at Honu House and it was wonderful as always. It’s the best rental property we have ever stayed at and we hope to be back for a 4th time. "Honu House" was simply great. The family enjoyed a special "March break" visiting the numerous beaches near Honu House and across the island of Kauai, and relaxing at the fabulous property during the evening.

After staying several wonderful days at the Grand Hyatt, which was lovely in it's own right, we were thrilled to spend the rest of our vacation at the Honu House. I cannot express enough how perfectly appointed this home is. I cannot think of a single thing that was missing or that we needed beyond what was provided. Everyone in my family slept comfortably and we all had enough space to spread out. My kids, 10 & 7, loved the bunk beds! I especially like the above and beyond touches such as the robes and plethora of beach gear provided. I am SO thankful there were water shoes, because you definitely need them at the rocky beach at Poipu. I don't know how we got so lucky, but there were shoes that fit all of us! We used the hot tub every night after a long day of hiking or boogie boarding. Oh, and being able to walk to both Brennecke and Poipu was perfect. All I can say is this home is amazing and if we ever return to Kauai this will be our homebase again.
