There is no real need for a car -- you won't want to leave this highly desirable Gold Coast neighborhood with everything you need within walking distance. The Bus stops out front and we have UBER & Lyft and Biki as available as well (although we are not the most bike friendly city). There is a laundry room in the basement / garage, and there are several car parking stalls for rent--if you must.

This little Penthouse at the foot of Diamond is a little gem! I used to live on Oahu and I can tell you that the location is perfect! Quiet with incredible views and just a five minute walk into all the action Waikiki has to offer. With a view on both side of the penthouse you get practically 360 degree beautiful views of all of Waikiki and Honolulu. I could lay in bed and have my coffee while watching the sunrise over Diamond Head to my right and look over to my left and see Waikiki and the Wainai coast! The suite was very clean and had all the necessities one could need for a vacation stay in Hawaii. The one thing that stood out the moist was Jan, the owner. She truly was a Super Host!

Older building, studio was small but well appointed. Views were good, but no private outside space. No access to beach without walking out on the street. Found 2 restaurants within 1/2 mile. One in a fairly pricey hotel. The other was basically a fast food restaurant. If you think you will walk to all waikiki has to offer, think again. My wife and I walk a mile and a half per day, up and down hills. In the heat and humidity, we rarely walked more than 1/2 mile. You need a car. As far as the owner, great communication, but when we decided to leave after the first night, due to the isolation of the property, we inquired about a partial refund. We had rented for 10 nights. All we were hoping was that a token refund would be issued for the very limited use of the property, so little to no wear and tear, and virtually no use of the utilities. The owner would not issue any refund. I realize I had no legal standing to expect a refund, but a few hundred dollars refunded would have been a nice gesture. So, we are unhappy that we concentrated on the owner's beautiful pictures of the view from the studio, and did not research more thoroughly. No pool, limited outside space to relax and "hang" out, few restaurants/bars within walking distance, access to the beach and ocean are along a fairly busy street, and a studio apartment that is about the size of a hotel room, i.e. the "kitchen" contains a microwave, and a coffee maker. We were expecting more.

A real gem with all the comforts of home. It has spectacular views, hot water showers, and a comfortable bed with soft linens and fluffy pillows. Outside is a beautiful fountain with Diamond Head looking right down on you. We ate at some of the nicest restaurants within blocks. We walked down to the downtown Waikiki area for dining, sun, and beaches. Take a Lyft, quick, polite, and friendly. Jan is always there, give her a text. She is kind and thoughtful just what makes a visit wonderful!

We loved staying at this beautiful property. Jan is a fantastic communicator. Everything was as discribed. Room was clean, and came equipped with everything you need for a stay on Oahu. Views were fantastic. Great location, easy access to many great beaches, activities, and shopping. Would definitely stay here again.

Jan’s property was great! There is an awesome view out each of the windows. It is small, but has everything you need or want. Jan was so helpful and super responsive. She texted me to make sure we had everything we needed and provided great info on what was going on in town. We definitely recommend this property!

We were very pleased with our stay. There was a flood upstair from us but it was dealt with and Jan was great at communicating. We absolutely loved the the location as it was a great way to get away from the crowded strip of Waikiki proper. It was a perfect 1 mile walk which we enjoyed doing in the morning for coffee and breakfast. The small neighborhood near us was adorable and unlike anything we saw while driving around. We had a car for 4 days (which I highly recommend if you want to explore the whole island) and did not have a problem finding parking out front. Jan had everything we needed in storage to snorkel and chairs plus umbrella for the beach.

The condo unit was accurately described and very clean. Jan provided everything needed for a 10 day stay. She pays attention to detail! The property is also safe with easy access to the main area of Waikiki. Easy access to many places using Uber. There are good restaurants within walking distance and a large park across the street. Beautiful views out each side of the room. I can recommend this property.

This was our THIRD stay at Jan’s penthouse, and we love it there. For us, it’s all about the awesome views and quiet location. Our favorites are waking up to the sunrises that can be seen easily from the room, and ending the day in the lovely lawn enjoying the sunsets. Jan is a wonderful host providing so many extra perks like giving us plenty of coffee and bottled water for our two week stay. Having Tide available for doing laundry was truly appreciated as well. Jan will take good care of you so don’t hesitate to stay, you will love it here! !

Cozy and clean, can’t beat the view and location. Jan was a great communicator and her listing is accurate. We’ve stayed in various Waikiki locations and this was ideal for us. If you plan to rent a parking space, a mid-size SUV is the largest you should get.

Our host - Jan - was absolutely amazing and has kitted the condo out perfectly. The room was perfect for our needs - super clean. The bed was VERY comfortable! A great studio suite. Highly recommend for proximity to ocean and WaikÄ«kÄ«. ðŸ‘
