Pros: The condo was well equipped and clean. The host provided all the beach necessities (cooler, beach towels, beach chairs, umbrellas) as well as everything needed for cooking and cleaning. The view was SPECTACULAR and there was never more than 10 people on the whole beach at one time. Snorkeling was adequate. The elevator was in excellent working condition and garbage drop off was conveniently located just down the hall.Mary is amazing! She responded to my messages promptly and provided clear instructions for both checking in and out. Cons: The property is located next door to a homeless camp. One morning, we woke up to find someone sleeping in a tent on the beach. One evening, while walking around the point, we were barked at by a man who was sleeping behind a rock. There is on site security though, so access to the unit would be nearly impossible without a key fob. We were rarely out past dark due to the rough neighborhood. Traffic between 3:30pm - 6:30pm is a nightmare. The bed isn’t very comfortable but the host did say the foam topper could be removed to adjust the comfort level. We didn’t remove it so that is our own fault. I had a difficult time keeping the unit below 77, even with the AC set to 68 and the curtains closed. I suggest opening the balcony door and the entrance door to let the breeze flow through. Would we stay here again? Yes. But maybe only during whale watching season so we wouldn’t have to leave the grounds!
Comfortable stay, kitchen had everything needed to cook several meals, beautiful view, lots of beach supplies & beach towels, comfortable furniture inside and out.. Be aware the beach in front of Hawaiian Princess washes away for part of year. Still beach within 20 feet though. Beautiful place - would stay again!
This was the most fantastic vacation we’ve ever had. The apartment has a perfect location with an almost deserted, beautiful beach and a stunning view from the window. We could watch turtles right from the balcony while enjoying our morning coffee. We also used the beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, fins, and small surfboards that were available for guests. Moreover, the hosts were incredibly attentive to our needs and quickly responded to any additional requests.Although the furniture and cabinets are not brand new, everything was clean and tidy, and the apartment is well equipped with everything needed for cooking. The bed is large and the mattress is firm for healthy sleep, with the option to make it softer if preferred. The air conditioning and quiet fans kept the rooms pleasantly cool.There is secure gated parking, restricted access to the building for outsiders, and a barbecue area where you can cook a great steak.This apartment and its hosts truly deserve the highest rating. We are very happy with our stay and grateful to our hosts!
Nice place! If you're looking for a place out of the hustle-bustle of Honolulu with a great beach, pool, and hot tub, this is it. Not a pretty drive to get to because of the homeless camps along the coast, but the facility itself is safe with secured parking and this unit is well maintained. It suited the 2 of us just fine!
Amazing the view alone is worth it! Plus fully furnished kitchen. Would definitely come back.

Great relaxing place to stay away from the city
The communication was excellent. Check in was simple with great instructions. We stayed four nights and the property had everything! Towels, beach equipment and toys, hair styling equipment, pots & pans, anything you may need!!! The view is absolutely breathtaking and the beach is right through the back gate. The beach was beautiful and not crowded at all. We practically had the back to ourselves. Great sunsets and stores close by.

We love Waianae & Makaha, and if it's for you, you'll know. Nice AC and Kitchen. Great view. Secluded beach. Would definitely stay again. But . . . if you've not been here before . . . just be certain.
The property is beautiful. You're staying on a semi secluded beach. You can sit on the balcony and watch turtle swim, because the water is so clear! We saw turtles every day we were there. You're away from the tourists so you're looking at how the island truly is un commercialized. It's very quiet and very serene. If I ever come back, I would 100% stay here again. This is the west side of the island so you get to watch the sunset every night!
We all really enjoyed our stay at the condo. Nice accommodation's, only reason I gave it four star's was the futon. Listing states 2 futon's, one is just the pad from a futon, the full futon felt like sleeping on springs. A mattress cover would really help improve this.
This was our second time staying at this rental over Christmas. We enjoy staying on this dryer side of the island and the reasonable price for the ocean views and being on the beach.

However, the Waienae towards Makaha West side of Oahu in recent years has turned even more depressing with the homeless encampments and constant sirens. If you’re looking for an affordable Hawaii getaway and don’t worry about that this is perfect. If you are searching for the magical Hawaiian Paradise, then spend more money and go somewhere else.
Stayed at this property for three nights, the view is exceptional as is the beach, we were comfortable and happy with most everything in this well stocked property; lots of towels, swimming gear/beach chairs, a great balcony for breakfast, and fully functioning AC. Instructions and communication from the owners was first-rate.
The washer door must be closed to close the bi-fold door that conceals the piggyback washer/dryer, which makes the smell of mildew quite bad, it filled the entire unit with badness when we tried to wash a load and the smell stuck in our clothes, not a huge deal but if you are sensitive it could be impactful.
Neighbors are also pretty special; locals are noisy and the homeless have taken up next to the property, precluding our hike to the top of the rock - these would not keep us from coming back but were light annoyances.
Parking felt safe and the building security is crafted with locks to get both in and out so I never felt like my kids or stuff were unsafe while onsite.
The stay at the Hawaiian Princess at this condo was beautiful. Away from the bustle of the big city and close enough to shops and restaurants. A great spot. Plan to be back!
Away from the hustle and bustle, maddening crowds of Waikiki/Honolulu yet an easy drive to all of the attractions Oahu has to offer. Time spent on the lanai overlooking the ocean and listening to the crashing waves is soul soothing to say the least. The secluded beach-uncrowded. This little unit is cozy, well equipped and feels like home from the moment you step into it. Thank you Mary for ensuring our stay was comfortable and that everything was in order.

Beautiful place on an amazing and very secluded beach! From the balcony we could see turtles each morning. Snorkeling is great and this rental has lots of beach/snorkel equipment available. Security here was present and professional. Had a great time here and look to book it again in the near future!
We had a lovely time overlooking the ocean. The moonrises were beautiful, as were the sunsets. The water was a little rough so we couldn't play in it much, but better swimmers enjoyed it a great deal. This condo was well appointed with all we needed. Mary and Neil were great to work with and very patient with our jet lagged brains. It was so nice to have a quiet retreat to come back to after spending time in Honolulu. Thank you for providing such a lovely place for us to enjoy our vacation.
