There was sand on the floor
The mattress needs an elastic sheet because the one used keeps coming off and making me touch the disgusting mattress cover that had lots of stains on it.
I wish there was an extra blanket and a nightstand to put our phone, water or anything we could use laying on the bed.
There are no closet or dresser to put clothes away, we had to keep our stuff in the luggage.
The bathroom distance a rug, making it unsafe when we get out of the tub.
The bathtub is very slippery and did not have a mat to help with it.
The pool was closed all the days we stayed there.
We stayed 9 days and there was only one bath, hand and face towel for each person.

The hotel was really good. It was super easy to walk everywhere in Waikiki! The facilities were really good. I managed to get parking, although that was an additional cost. The staff were great, check in was easy even when I arrived at 1am! Checkout was just as easy. I’m already planning my next trip back to Honolulu with my daughter and we’ll definitely be staying there again.
This is an amazing hotel for the price I paid. It was within easy walking distance to Waikiki beach, shopping district and other attractions. The restaurants close by were amazing. I’d happily recommend this hotel to any traveler. Booking through Wotif did have some communication issues but nothing that the local receptionist couldn’t handle.

The location and advance information were the pluses. We loved the location in particular- within walking distance to almost everything in Waikiki. On the down side, the unit was dirty and nor well maintained in our opinion. The hot plate and one of the pans were covered in grease and put away without being washed. Little surprise that the building has pest issues. The bathroom was also dirty and seemed unfinished. Another disappointment was the lack of anywhere to hang clothes - no closet, very few hooks and and only two or three plastic hangers for those. With a sheet of plywood, a saw a dowel and some screws and white paint the owners could have created a small closet space in a corner. Also, we never could get the television to work, but other that those few items the unit was okay.
The pictures are not what it is. Looked very different, not the same furniture and the actual building itself inside was pretty sketchy and kind of smelled like a nursing home. The room was OK. Very outdated. Not even a fitted sheet for the bed. We did not spend much time there as we were exploring the island, and just slept there and showered.

very nice, great property overall. Was not clean though when I arrived (blood? or foundation/dirt marks on towels, hair on shower walls, dirty floor, etc). Once I cleaned and got my own towels it was fine.
Overall, our recent stay at Waikiki Monarch Studio was delightful. The location was fantastic, providing easy access to key attractions. The home was clean and well-maintained, contributing to a comfortable experience. The vacation rental management staff was incredibly helpful, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable stay. Highly recommended!

Very nice, cozy small studio close to Waikiki beach, with car rental just in the lobby socyou can travel the whole island just as easy as going to beaches near studio. We enjoyed our stay and our honeymoon to the max !

It was perfect for me and my wife. Place was clean, view was great, a/c worked like a champ. Everything ( stores,beaches, restaurants)was in walking distance. We had a blast on our vacation 🤙🏽.
