Had a great time at Waikiki Banyon. Midway Vacations Management did a great job and was very responsive.

Our family of four has a great time in this property. For us the location worked really well, it allowed the adults a nice 2-3 mile stroll every night through the heart of Waikiki without being quite in the middle of the action. Everything that we would have needed was in the apt, although we didn't really cook that much other than some eggs and such at breakfast. The mini mart downstairs was very convenient. The free parking was great, we rented a car for our trip and took full advantage of this perk. Overall very satisfied with the property.

This unit felt clean and uncluttered. The decor is very minimalistic. Very comfortable bedding and full shower pressure. It included all the basic items we needed, including kitchen gadgets, towels and a small insulated bag. The full kitchen is a definitely plus for longer stays. And for a busy area like Waikiki, you can't beat the free garage parking with in/out privileges. We had an issue with a loose door latch upon arrival and the TV had been left on, which concerned us. However, a call to the contact phone number resulted in a very cheery and efficient maintenance man showing up just minutes later. He had the latch fixed in no time, and I wish I had gotten his name so I could send a compliment to the property. The keyless door lock is very convenient. The A/C unit gets a bit loud at times, but I've stayed in other units at the Waikiki Banyan, and that's pretty standard there. The balcony for this unit faces the Ala Wai Canal and a busy boulevard, away from the beach. It's a bit noisy on this side, but not too bad for being in the middle of Waikiki. We did not use the pull-out couch while we were there. There is a floor with a pool and hot tub, and the laundry facilities worked very well. Plenty of hangers in the closet but no drawers.
There was a large can of paint easily accessible under the bathroom sink, and I would have worried about kids getting into that. Luckily, it was just us adults.

Pluses: Two blocks from beach, lovely 24th floor balcony and window view of mountains and city, parking included, responsive property management. Needed that response after being awakened in middle of first night by loud clattering noise (a/c grill fell off after a poor prior repair job) and second night apartment filled with smoke, triggering a piercing smoke alarm, after we turned on oven to pre-heat — poor cleaning of prior use left grease build up on oven floor, hidden by overlay of aluminum foil. Management came next day to fix things. Mediocre: building’s interior and infrastructure is a little tired; pool and BBQ deck is drab and unappealing, but sauna was a nice perk (if not so well maintained and cleaned); a/c cools very well and it’s condensation leaves slippery puddles in balcony that you have to watch out for not to slip. Overall: adequate, a so-so value (considering all the fees), and with great location.

This was a perfect space for my 2 sons and me on a family vacation. The mountain views where beautiful, great balcony for morning coffee, beds were super comfortable, air conditioner worked great (just keep the pocket door 1/3 open to get air when sleeping), a few blocks from the beach and all the great restaurants/activities that Waikiki has to offer. Onsite parking was sufficient but low overhead (6’) so I recommend renting a car instead of SUV. Close to Diamond head hike, short drive to Pearl Harbor/USS Arizona, etc. I definitely recommend it and I’d come again. One small recommendation— please provide more than 1 coffee packet for the first day (I needed it after a long day of traveling and before I could go grocery shopping). Place was clean and comfortable. Mahalo!

We stayed for a week to drop off our daughter at the University of Hawaii. It was perfect for our needs as we needed parking. The short walk to the beach and restaurants was also nice. We will definitely be staying at the Banyan again!

We were a family of 4 adults and this condo worked great for us! We felt like we had plenty of room when we were in the condo. The condo was clean and literally one city block from the beach. From some of the reviews, I was expecting to have to buy more paper towels, trash bags, and toilet paper, but we had plenty for our 7 night stay. Free parking was a huge bonus! Communication between the management company was always very prompt, friendly, and helpful! We had no issues and I would rent here again!

Much older than the picture implies. Building & especially the hallways have not been updated for decades. Pool & hot tubes not very attractive. The room was clean with a wonderful bedroom but the living room sofa was ancient. The popcorn ceiling in the bathroom also looked a little moldy. Otherwise the bathroom was clean & updated. The best thing about this place was the location and the management company. They were fantastic.

The condo was very clean and easily accommodated beds for me, my husband, and two teens. Parking was easy and on-site. The beach is a close block-and-a-half up the street.

This is a nice unit, with the amenities listed and lovely view of the mountains. We didn't use the AC but it was pretty loud- there are ceiling fans in the bedroom L and over the couch- they work very well. All the windows open and all kitchen appliances are new or like new. We. particularly love this location, with most of Waikiki walkable and near Kapiolani Park. Midway vacations was very responsive and easily contacted. We were with a group and visited in 3 other units, and were happy with ours. The lack of a kitchen island results in a little more open feel and room in the main area. No disposal or dishwasher and one is asked to wash, dry and put away all dishes and empty garbage before leaving. This was unusual, but easily done as there were only two of us.
