A nice little.place for the price.
This property was very clean and nice! The host was very friendly and easy to contact! My friend and I stayed for our exams and it was a very convenient and comforting place to stay during that time. The amenities were very helpful as well.
Very kind land lord who is willing to take that extra step to make sure you are satisfied. There were a couple of issues, but she made sure they were rectified. One thing I would like to suggest is replacing the bath linens, as they felt and looked old and scratchy. Thanks
Pictures were a little nicer than it actually is, but overall clean and okay to stay in. Bare minimum necessities. Didn’t mind staying there, but wouldn’t stay there again. Host was very nice.
Nice enough but surrounding area is a little rough. Homeless, transients, and other shady individuals right outside the patio. Glad our car didn’t get broken into. I understand host can’t fix the area so it is what it is… just be aware. Also I don’t mind picking up the rental, doing dishes, cleaning out fridge, and taking out trash but what is the 125 cleaning fee?? It should be one or the other.
Overall the property is old and a bit run down and not well maintained. The pool and deck needed a good cleaning and we would not put our feet in or sit on deck- never mind swim. Water was very dark and murky. The unit itself needed a cleaning-the outside of the fridge was dirty, the floor need washing. There was a white powder on the kitchen counter from the backsplash peeling - poor install work. The sheets and towels seemed clean, the shower water was hot with good pressure. Some drain issues but did drain eventually. It could be stocked better. No dish towels, only 4 bath towels for 2 couples for 6 days but lots of paper towel/tp. The can opener did not work. Functionally the set up could be better- no closet or dresser for clothes in master bedroom. AC is misleading-only in 2nd bedroom which is a twin bed. As two couples we were prepared to use sofa bed and master bedroom, so ac in the other room was useless…Overall fan was sufficient but a bit warm and hard to get a good cross breeze. There were quite a few cockroaches- I get they can come in with it being humid and ground floor but too many for us. The location was great and communication was great. It worked fine for us but I would not recommend nor would I stay again.
The property was very nice.
I usually have a great experience at all the VRBO's we stay. This one was only good because the owner was good at communication. But the place had the following issues:
1.) The shower water did not drain.
2.) We had to kill a few cockroaches.
3.) The sofa bed did not work.
4.) There is 1 A/C unit and its so loud by the bed.
Overall, I would not stay here again.
Our host was so prompt with responding to us even after we left and thought we'd left an item in the rental. The place was so clean and it made our already wonderful stay even more so!
The apartment was very cozy and comfortable with a lovely balcony and beautiful views, and near a beautiful park!
Property tired, as I am; older and used and satisfactory. We had an enjoyable stay, walking distance to restaurants, beach, even downtown!
Unit was stocked with bath’nkitchen essentials; lovely lanai overlooking banyon trees and even Wailoa river. Mostly quiet, good experience.
The place is closed to Hilo airport, farmer market and several mins from Target. Quiet and peaceful community environment. The host Yan Ming is responsive and helpful on answering questions. Easy check-in and out process. Would love to stay here again in next visiting in Big Island.
Host provided excellent support in informing the latest about the property and Hilo, which made comfortable stay.
The parking is accessed from Mililani Street, not from Hualani Street.
Conveniently located, fully equipped apartment. Bedrooms are very tiny, but serves its purpose. Single bedroom includes an AC unit, suggest adding AC units to the queen bedroom and living room. Although we were only 2 people staying for 2 nights, access to additional towels would be nice, we were only provided 2 sets. We had a bit of a chicken problem on our lanai, called maintenance for assistance with no luck. Called several times, texted and left messages with no answer or return call. We were able to handle the problem ourselves. Overall, enjoyed our time here and would consider staying here again.
Great vacation retreat. The small apartment had everything we needed to be comfortable - how interesting that the dehumidifiers work so efficiently! And we appreciated the lovely park and the health food market both being within short walking distance. Besides the a.m. rooster, the Villa village was mostly peaceful and quiet. Tasteful decor.
