We stayed in Honolulu for a week and loved it. Everything was clean and easy to find. The location was unbelievable. Would stay again
Standard Ilikai property, so plenty of space, good size lanai etc. Property was very well equipped, everything we needed for our 2 week stay. However, if I owned the property I would give it a good overhaul top to bottom, even if it was just a good redecoration, it looks a little "worn". Apartment owner was very helpful with early check in, and there were things like chocolates and coffee left for us. Pricing was very good for our favourite location, so all in all, good value for money in a country where prices have risen significantly since we were last there 5 years ago. Would book this apartment again, purely on price and location.
Great location in the heart of Waikiki. Easy to walk to lots of restaurants. The condo was clean and comfortable. It's showing its age, but worked great for our stay.

I arrived at hnl after a nine and a half hour flight. Took a Lyft to Ilikai. Property owner had texted while in flight that I could check in early! Relieved! Got there and a box of chocolates was waiting for me. I walked to ABC store to grab groceries and forgot butter. No worries. It was in the fridge and there was coffee, salt, and pepper . Literally I felt very taken care of. me.
My husband and I stayed here for a conference. It was convenient to both the convention center (15-20 min walk) and other conference events at nearby hotels. The unit itself is spacious with a lanai with view in to the harbor and ocean. There is a moderate amount of street noise from the lanai but sound insulation is good with the doors closed. The unit is somewhat dated but has everything you need. It is a quick walk to beaches and central Waikiki
If you wa want to be in the city that's the place for you we didn't relise that it was that busy
The local is very close to where we needed to pick up for the excursions. Also had an elevator. Was a good place for us. The wall paper needs to be fixed.
Iāve stayed in three other units at the Ilikai, and unfortunately, this one was by far the most disappointing. While I understand some units retain original furniture and design elements, this unit shows significant wear and neglect. The wallpaper throughout was peeling, and there appeared to be signs of mold in several areas. The bathroom and kitchen floors were sticky, and with dark carpeting elsewhere, itās hard to gauge the cleanliness of the rest of the flooring.There were also concerning safety issues, such as tangled and outdated electrical cords near the bed, and the main table had a cracked marble top. I wasnāt entirely confident that the sheets were fresh, which added to the overall feeling of discomfort.It feels like the unit may be privately maintained without professional oversight, and that could be contributing to its poor condition. I strongly suggest the owner consider working with one of the many reputable property management companies that operate in the Ilikai. These professionals could help bring the unit up to standardāor alternatively, the owner may want to consider selling it to someone whoās willing to invest in the necessary upgrades.Itās unfortunate the system does not allow photographs of how this unit really looks like, as it was terrible. With proper care and attention, this unit has potentialābut in its current state, I would not recommend it.
I have stayed at the Ilikai many times and it continues to be my favourite location. Great pools, easy access to the beach and good communication with property manager.
We read the previous reviews. We know what to expect. On the TV issue, on our iphones, we can watch TV. We brought our Lighting device and plugged into the HGMI port. We had no TV issues. Location was great, close to the Mall and other locations. The pools was great. The price was nice for the location, it is better tan paying 300 to 400 a night. Yes, there was some TLC issues in the unit, but it would not stop us from going back.
This was perfect for a solo trip! More than 2 people sharing the bed would be too crammed for me. As other reviews have stated - the shower head drips and there is mold in the shower (due to the dripping). The AC worked fine for me, but the bed wasn't the most comfortable (very firm). I thought the view was good, but there is a lot of noise. Bottom line... it was exactly as I would expect for the price. Don't expect a Hilton experience when you're paying the rate of a Super 8! (lol) Arvis is also very quick to respond with questions and even allowed me to mail a package to his home address, so it was there when I arrived.

Great location close to the beach. Simple check in and an huge balcony with a nice view of the beach. Everything we were looking for.
We were a family of 5 staying for 6 nights/7 days and this place fit out needs perfectly. It is by the beach and a short walk to many restaurants and stores. The view from the lanai at sunset was incredible. The hotel was fairly quiet, we never heard other guests
An original, never redecorated unit. The A/C was leaking and it took three visits by repairman to fix. The wallpaper is pealing in many places and it is very dirty. There is no kitchen fan, dishwasher or garbage diposal. The manager had to come and buy a simple pan.
This unit shoul not be rented in present state.is
Outlets didn't work, A/C didn't work, TV LIMITED to only Vizio Free, No fire alarm, shower dripped entire time and has mold all over shower, front door doesnt close securely. If this is what you want during your vacation go for it.
Great location easy in and out access.
We were able to check-in early with Arvis approval. View were great. Just simply put. Beautiful.

Good value. Great location. Great parking options in Marina next to Ilikai. $1 per hour is not bad. Accommodations are not plush but they met our needs for a short trip. Everything worked. Itās a fifth floor property with nice balcony with ocean and view of lagoon by Hilton.
It was true that you don't need to rent a car. Everything is within walking distance - beach, scuba diving, surfing, snorkeling, trails for walking/running, shopping, fire works, parasailing, etc. it was a lot of fun.
The Ilikai hotel has everything you need also. We especially loved the ice cream shop - Dave Ice cream - the ice cream and people were awesome!
I loved sitting on the balcony. The view is perfect, the weather is perfect, the sounds are relaxing and you get dove and bird visitors also.
The kitchen had everything I needed and they even had a welcome box of chocolate that we all loved and enjoyed. There is a Costco closed by and we stopped on our way from the airport and got food for the week. I liked that the condo had oil, salt and pepper and other condiments. They also had coffee and hot chocolate.
They also have chairs and a mat to go to the beach and be comfortable as well as spray sunscreen and aloe for the sunburn.
I loved that it is no smoking and the condo smelled good.
I didn't like that by the end of our stay there were people in other levels who were smoking and ruined my time on the balcony.
Things to be aware is that the condo is just 1 room, there is no door to divide the king bed area and the area with the futon and chair, so no privacy for the couple.
They also need to change the shower curtain because it is moldy.
We loved it overall and will consider staying here again next time we visit Hawaii.

Very accurate listing. Property is in perfect location. Hotel is a bit older with some cosmetic issues outside the actual unit we stayed in. Unit itself was as described. Great large bathroom. Well appointed kitchen area and comfortable sleeping arrangements for my family. The views from the balcony were spectacular and we spent most of the trip with the doors wide open to take advantage of the smells and winds and extra space. very comfortable week with great communication from the property owner. FYI, as VRBO renter and not hotel guest we were not allowed to use the gym in the hotel but we were allowed to use the pool. And the beaches more than made up for the lack of gym use. Great spot to get to anything you want to see in Honolulu (and north shore wasnt too far away). Mahalo!
Convenient location in a nice complex. However, unit had some "issues". AC didn't work very well, some electrical outlets didn't work, wallpaper is peeling in numerous places, one of the lamps didn't work.
The patio/balcony was great, excellent view of the ocean! The location was great, a very shy walk to the beach.
My wife and I stayed for eight nights and had an amazing time. Everything was in walking distance and we adventure the whole island. Couldnāt ask for a better location!
We have similar thoughts as previous reviewers. This is a well warn apartment that could use a well deserved refresh. Yes the wall covering is peeling in places and the doors are chipped and cracked. If you look for it, you'll find some hidden dirt. If you're looking for 5 star (or even 4 star) modern and sleek accommodations, then this is not it! But, the apartment is well stocked and does meet all your basic needs. We've stayed in the Ilikai several times in the past on much higher floors and we were pleasantly surprised that the ocean and lagoon views were better than expected (better than it looks in the photos).Unfortunately, with the building suffering from ongoing mechanical issues with their elevators during our 2 weeks, staying on a lower floor turned out to be a good thing.
Overall, a positive experience.
Lots of mould n mildew. Wallpaper peeling off, dark, to much of the owner personal items. Broken or almost broken furniture. Electrical outlets non existent or not working. Air conditioner was poor n the bed was old n not so comfortable.
