Iur stay at Javqui and Terrie's property was fantastic. Calm, relaxing beaches, good snorkeling and a lovely 1960s era bungalow vibe. Exactly what my spouse and i were looking for from our babymoon. If you want more modern amenities like AaC you may want to look elsewhere, but if you want to relax with a great place and great hosts this is definitely the place to come. We will absolutely be coming back in the future with friends and family.

This is our top vacation destination. It’s our fifth stay. We love being able to cook our own meals in the well-furnished kitchen and then literally step outside to the beach. We could hear the waves from our bedroom. Sunrises are stunning. We saw sea turtles and seals on the beach. Host is very responsive and helpful. Snorkel gear is provided, and there’s often some nonperishable food in the pantry (coffee, oil, sugar, salt/pepper). We can’t wait to return.

I had an encounter with a lady, who identified herself as the owner of the unit I booked. Her name was Teri. She was upset because my sister was smoking in a non smoking area (on the grass near the ocean wall) and was seen spitting on the grass.Teri very rudely said "she better not be smoking in my house" I assured her that she wasn't smoking inside, that is why she is smoking outside. She asked for my name (I think it was because I am local and she don't recall having a polynesian name on the application.) after telling her my name, she said something like, "if I find out she's been smoking upstairs... " I interupted her and assured her my sister did not and will not smoke in her place. I am a non-smoker, I wouldn't allow her to. She then asked "When are you leaving?" I wonder if she treats all her guests with such rudeness? This interaction was not necessary as the security guard already handled the situation prior to her intervening. There are no "No Smoking" signs posted anywhere and my sister was more than 20 feet away from the building. The property is beautiful, the view from our window of the ocean and the sunrise was so nice. You can hear the sound of the waves crashing on the shore at night. Its unfortunate that all that beauty can be cancelled by peoples ugly attitudes. I didn't want to stay after that encounter, but I already paid for it. My sister felt bad as it was unintentional. She is 65y/o walks with a cane and has mental illness.I Felt discriminated against.

We wanted somewhere to stay on the north shore that would feel more local and be near the ocean. This little condo delivered. When they say ocean views they aren’t kidding. The beach was 20 feet from the windows! The unit was clean, provided all necessary amenities, comfortable beds, embraced the beach vibe, and what a view! My boys loved that there were twin needs so they didn’t have to share a bed. Super happy with the stay, would definitely book again.

Terrie is such a warm and welcoming host, treats you like Ohana. Excellent location and very nicely supplied with everything you need. Just bring your Aloha spirit and you will enjoy immensely. Walk out the door and in just a few steps and you’re standing in the sand. The views, including the sunrises are incredible. Mellow waves, swimming is easy. Reserved parking, security guards 24/7, laundry rooms, etc. We will be back for sure, mahalo

Great location, nice beach, very clean comfortable room. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5: Cable TV did not work, (ROKU worked, so not a huge deal) and construction on the large hive hotel was a bit annoying. Would stay here again after construction is complete, though.

We stayed here three nights! It was a perfect stay. We enjoyed going to the beach daily and saw sea turtles every morning! The sea turtles like to swim within the vicinity! Beautiful morning views and sound of waves was perfect! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

This place is in a perfect location, right on the beach and close to Jurassic park ranch. The place itself is a little outdated and needs some renovation in my opinion. Everything else was great.

We were lucky enough to stay in this exceptionally clean, very nicely decorated and amazingly located condo for 4 nights in August 2024. From the view, the basically private beach to the turtles who appear in the evening and leave at sunrise, the trip could not have been better!! We were not interested in the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. We wanted to be able to go there but not stay there and we are so grateful we made that decision and we’re lucky enough to stay here..

We had a great visit! View, breeze, ocean sounds make for a perfect visit away from the hustle and bustle of Honolulu. Very clean, nice outdoor/beach area.

We enjoyed staying in this cottage! It’s cozy and right on the beach. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki, this is a great option. It’s on the second level of the cottage, great ocean breeze, and we truly enjoyed seeing the sea turtles come up on the beach during the day to sun and at night to sleep. It’s a bit of a drive if you’re wanting to do anything in the Waikiki area, but if you’re interested in the North Shore, Polynesian Cultural center, Waimea Falls, Kailua, etc this is a great location. There is a grocery store nearby, and the cottage had pots, pans, dishes, etc you’re interested in cooking some of your meals there. Laundry supplies were provided for the shared laundry space. The only negative was the cramped parking spot. It is a challenge to park if you have a full size rental or larger. We would stay here again if we visit the island in the future.
