Most amazing view ever! Great place to stay!
Hanalei Bay Resort is a wonderful, family friendly place. The grounds, pool and staff are great. This unit is well furnished and comfortable. The kitchen is stocked well with cookware and utensils. The bed is very comfortable. And, as advertised, it truly has a spectacular view of Hanalei Bay.
We had such a wonderful stay! The views are absolutely breathtaking — waking up to the ocean and lush scenery each morning was unforgettable. The condo had everything we needed, from a well-stocked kitchen to beach gear, which made our trip so easy and enjoyable. The resort grounds are beautiful and well maintained, adding to the relaxing island vibe. While a few things inside could use some updating, it didn’t take away from the comfort or the experience. Overall, it’s a great place to stay, and we’d happily book it again.

This condo was a wonderful spot to enjoy Kauai. It is located in the Hanalei Bay Resort, at the very edge of the property. There are amazing views of a wonderfully, wave active cove from both the bedroom and living room. We enjoyed sitting on the lanai and wave/surfer watching. Also the mountains were beautiful, with ever changing light and clouds. The beach is nearby, as well the Neighbors cafe at the next door 1 Hotel for breakfasts overlooking the Bay. We also enjoyed the proximity to nice hiking trails. On the first day, we had trouble parking as we arrived later in the evening and found out afterwards that valet parking was available for guests. We also had a little trouble figuring out how to turn on/off the air conditioning-- which was a little noisy. Overall, an ideal location and amazing views-- very relaxing and enjoyable.

By far, the best part of this condo was the view! It was amazing to see Hanalei Bay with a backdrop of the mountains. We were lucky enough to be there during a full moon, and it was absolutely breathtaking over the water.
Small dissatisfiers were the lack of towels & their quality, and somewhat outdated kitchen. Also, we were "lucky" to have our building being roofed the week we stayed. Ugh. However, Laurie was great to communicate with & made sure we quickly received additional towels.
I definitely would not exclude this place as a great Hanalei Bay condo!
Spent 11 nights on our honeymoon. It was the perfect spot to take in the beautiful North Shore. We would definitely recommend for a honeymoon or a family vacation. Resort is calm and beautiful.
Clean condo with same view of the sunset as 1 Hotel— probably the best in the condo complex. Good restaurant on site with great vibe. One thing we didn’t know that could help other folks— Recommend bringing small bills for tips as there is no ATM in the resort and the golf cart guys work for tips. Nice beach on site with golf cart access up.
The condo is beautifully maintained and well equipped! The view of Hanalei Bay, the dragon, and Makana are definitely the best on Kauai! Mahalo and Aloha!
We were immediately wowed from the minute we walked into this property, the views are just incredible! It was very clean, had everything we needed for the kitchen and laundry and included beach equipment as well. Sitting on the Lanai and taking in the beauty as well as the bird sounds were the favorite parts of our stay but we also loved the amazing pool area, and Happy Talk restaurant, and had no issues with the walk although the cart transportation was always available and very easy to secure. We found everything true to the listing. This was a special place and we will be back someday!
No units look into your unit (or you theirs)–only see people on lanais. Ate at home most nights, kitchen has everything needed, cooked or used grills at small pool. Grateful for blender (breakfast shakes & cocktails), potato masher and my fave frying pans (can use to bake a cake). Unit itself is dated in many aspects, but completely serviceable. Except maybe the shower head which is crazy pain in the butt-hope they change soon. Bed is comfy. AC works great if you even need it. Maybe not a luxury unit but definitely a luxury view!! There for a full month & loved every second. Why go out for mediocre food/cocktails when you have this view! Parking can be tricky-not enough spaces for # of guests. However, if full, valet will park you. Completely fine leaving golf clubs in car overnight, we had blanket to cover from view. Also a trek from parking lot to unit-used comp golf cart service at checkin/out & lugging groceries. Used golf cart when taking stuff to beach (unit has chairs, boards, noodles, snorkel gear, soft coolers). Tried lots of beaches & found the one below & Anini best for easy access & snorkeling. Even being on far north side, we easily did everything all the way around. 1.5 hr drive to Poipu once/wk for golf, but lush green Kauai made drive nicer than similar drive on, say, Maui. Every other day we drove to Kapaa or Lihue for golf. Great Farmers markets for fruits/veggies! Lots of rain AND sunshine = rainbows & waterfalls. Is all just SPECTACULAR from this lanai!
Views from balcony are 10 plus. Bonus was the ability to also utilize the 1 hotel amenities in order to have variety in our activities. It was a great area to enjoy long walks and explore the area.
The pools were often crowded and finding a chair around the pool could be difficult.
The condo was comfortable, but could use a refresh. This is especially true in bathroom.
Over all, even with need for refresh I give it a 9!
Highly recommend! Great location for exploring the north shore with a nice pool and a semi-private beach. The unit itself was in excellent condition with ample AC and gorgeous views.
We had a fantastic stay in this unit last week! The view is amazing! There is no better view of Hanalei Bay. We spent every morning out on the lanai drinking coffee and planning our day. We love the easy walk down to Puu Poa Beach and 10 minute walk to the path that leads down to Hideaways Beach.
The unit was clean and comfortable - I would definitely rent it again.
We were excited to visit Princeville and we figured the condo would be nice, but we were wowed when we walked in and saw the sweeping view of the mountains and ocean from the unit’s wide lanai. We would have been fine just sitting out on the lanai to watch the surfers and the sunsets, but we also enjoyed the resort’s grounds as well as the proximity to the Kalalau Trail in the Napali Coast Wilness Park, just a few miles away. As an added bonus, the condo was well-stocked and comfortable and the property owner was very easy to communicate with. We plan to come back as soon as we can!
Our stay was wonderful! The unit we stayed in was “better than advertised”. We would definitely consider staying there again if we decide to return to Kauai.
Absolutely loved out accommodations...unit was beautiful, spacious and well stocked with everything we needed. The views from the balcony were beyond amazing and enjoyed every morning and evening sitting out there and taking in the breath-taking views. We will definitely be back for sure and stay here!!
