beautiful property and comfortable accomodations!
The Hanalei Bay Resort property and amenities are exceptional. Princeville is beautiful and Hanalei has great shops, fantastic restaurants, and the best coffee pastries and bread at Hanalei Bread co. This was our first trip to Kauai. We feel very lucky to have found this condo to rent. This condo is on the 3rd floor in the building next to the resort lobby. It is so convenient, quiet, and has the best views of Hanalei beach and the mountains. Dave is a great host too. He was very helpful in recommending things for us to do during our stay. If you’re considering Hawaii, pick Kauai for its absolute plush beauty and embrace the “Polynesian paralysis” chill lifestyle they enjoy. If you’re down to selecting a resort and place to stay, hit book now. You will be glad you did!!! Aloha and Mahalo.
Gorgeous landscaping. Unit had great views with private lanai. Near parking, without having a parking lot view, which was a plus. Also near the lagoon pool/restaurants. We were never bothered by any noise. We were not bothered by the 5 minute walk to the beach. Golf cart rides were easy to obtain if desired, but we mostly walked. Property is spectucular and a great value as well.
Stunning view. Loved every second
The location, amenities, and overall experience was very good. The description of the studio was transparent (no kitchen) so we knew what we were signed up for. It would be hard to match the view. The staff were all very friendly and made us feel safe with a fair amount of surveillance of the resort grounds. The restaurants were also easy to get seated and offered great service. Special additions: umbrellas and beach chairs, coolers to take to the beach, good cleaning supplies.
Great location&views. Daily resort&parking fees came as a surprise.
We loved our week here! Beautiful resort, amazing room with a great view. Enjoyed our breakfasts ,coffee and game time each night on our patio. Our host was responsive via text when we had questions! We will definitely be back!
Loved it - gorgeous views!
It is a lovely unit with a beautiful view. It’s close to the bar in the hotel but the sound barriers are really helpful. The unit is maintained really well and the property manager is excellent and easy to reach. We had a wonderful Stay celebrating our 56 year together. I didn’t notice it didn’t have a kitchen when we signed up and we did just fine with a small refrigerator the privately owned condos in this hotel are maintained beautifully and in my opinion are cheaper than the hotel rooms. You get to see what condo you’re renting All the amenities and the views. I’ve been coming here since 1984, staying in many of the units over the years and I’m always happy to return.
Had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Amazing pool/hot tub and great views from lenai/lawn for sunset. Able to use the hospitality suite and bbq grills for cooking. Would stay here again
We had a great stay at this beautiful condo. The view could not be beat. The walk to the beach was pretty long, so the resort has a bell man who will drive you down on the golf cart. The room was very clean and suitable for our needs.
Great location and property. We love Princeville!
Great studio unit. Dave was responsive to my questions. Loved the resort and location.
Every way you look is just the most amazing few I’ve ever seen. Loved it and for sure will return.
Loved our stay and will definitely stay again if it’s available! Clean and comfortable! The only things that would make it better would be a kitchen sink and microwave.
The place was nice, with great views from the balcony. The king bed was very comfortable. Top floor (3rd floor) so get used to climbing stairs. A little close to the bar so a bit noisy in the evenings until 9:30pm when it closes. The kitchen is well stocked but no way to cook anything in the unit. Overall we liked staying here.
The view is outstanding! The location is great, very close to parking, lobby, restaurant, pool, hot tub, etc., but also quiet and private. The condo is clean and comfortable. It’s a long walk (1/4 mile downhill?) to the beach, but the property has carts that will pick you up. I highly recommend it.
The condo is located in a stunning resort, and the view is absolutely majestic. Waking up to such a beautiful scene every morning is truly a delight. However, there are several downsides to this place such as musty smells to dusty ceilings. Having stayed at numerous houses and condos through rental apps, this is the first time I’ve encountered an inaccurate listing. The most misleading aspect is the lack of a full kitchen, which was not explicitly mentioned in the listing. The description stated there were full cooking amenities, including utensils and a wood stove in the living room. My partner and I carefully reread the listing multiple times to ensure we hadn’t missed anything, but we hadn’t. We were looking forward to cooking at the condo, but unfortunately, we had to eat out more often than planned.
This was my first time staying in Princeville and it was the absolute perfect place to stay with breathtaking views. Central location to Napali Coast, north shore beaches and everything you need. Dave is the most accommodating and accessible host I’ve stayed with! He truly cares about your experience and did everything he could to ensure my stay was nothing short of perfect.Thank you Dave! I will definitely be returning.

11 years ago, my husband and I had a drink at the St. Regis pool area and were envious of the people that could afford to stay in a place with such a gorgeous view. 2 weeks ago we stayed at this unit at the Hanalei Bay Resort and had an even better view. A dream come true for a great price. The high ceilings make the room feel airy and larger than I expected. The resort grounds are beautiful, and we made good use of the pool which never felt crowded. There are spotless grills to use by the tennis courts and Foodland is close by for shopping. This unit is located in the most convenient location for everything including getting to your car to pack up for daily outings to the beaches. We loved our stay here and hopefully will be back again. Also, the host was available to contact if we needed anything, but everything went smoothly so we did not need to contact David. Thanks for sharing this little piece of heaven that I had always dreamed of experiencing.
We love Kauai and having this condo for 2 weeks was just perfect for us! Of course we appreciated the comfy bed and the "wow" views of the bay & mountains...But I must say that we also enjoyed the convenience of having lots to do within walking distance. The resort's beach just down the hill is a great place to swim, watch sea turtles or go on an explore. To the right (up the stairs) is a 10 minute walk that takes you to the best snorkeling spot "Hideaways Beach" (it's a strenuous short hike/climb and a little dangerous tho). Or you can go left (along the shore) down a trail & with a short swim you can be on the beach of Hanalei (I used a noodle lol). In addition to spending time with mother nature, we loved swimming in the pool and soaking in the beautiful waterfall spa. We'd usually end our day at Happy Talk for drinks and a hot meal. Their food and cocktails were really good, and they usually have live entertainment too! You literally can enjoy so much without using a vehicle to get there.
Hanalei Bay was absolutely beautiful with the lagoon pool. The property was clean and staff were very nice. They have all the amenities needed. Ocean view and sunset every night was fantastic. It has its own private beach which is convenient and not too crowded. Great for snorkeling. I would definitely come back here again. Book it, you won't have any regrets. Mahalo! :-)
Room needs update in every way
Hanalei bay resort has got to be one of the most beautiful spots on planet earth. We have stayed here many times before. We have booked through different private owners. I was concerned before arriving that the view might not be as spectacular as some of the other units we have reserved down further on the property but that concern was quickly put to rest the moment we walked in. The view out across the pool to the ocean beyond is just so pretty. At night the tiki torches add that special Hawaiian flavor to your panorama. The unit is well equipped with dishes pans etc. The bed is very comfortable but be warned the pillows are not down. Our only complaint was with the air-conditioner on the unit next door. It is noisy and blows hot air into our unit when the door is open. Unfortunately our neighbors ran it the entire time we were there day and night. Crazy considering the beautiful trades winds are so lovely at night along with the sound of rain. The location of the unit was great as far as parking close by. Dave is an absolute Joy to do business with. He went out of his way to be accommodating, so professional and prompt in all of his responses. He really helped make our trip fabulous!
“I am so happy I chose this place. The resort is wonderful, and the location is magical, surrounded by beautiful views! This studio was perfect for me. The best part is the view!!! It’s a small, cozy studio that’s ideal for a solo traveler or a couple. The bed was super comfortable, and there was a large selection of books, including a Kauai guide. The small kitchen was just right for me, and I loved enjoying my meals on the balcony with the perfect view! I’m glad I stayed here, and I will definitely be back to the same place!”
The view didn't disappoint. The location on the property was great if you like to be close to the action!
We really appreciated the beach chairs!
Would have been nice to have a kitchen sink but we made due.
Mahalo
Amazing property with stunning grounds and views. Food options on the property were a little limited because of operating hours, but lots of options close by!
This is located inside the Hanalei Bay Resort, which is a stunning property, giving you the ultimate views of Hanalei and the Napali Coast mountains. Even better, this rental gives you that view right from your balcony!
Also welcomed is the lively outdoor sports bar located right at your resort (open 3pm-9pm) with good food, tropical drinks, and again that stunning view right from your table.
The room itself is a hotel room (no laundry or cooking facilities allowed in the rooms), yet is nevertheless fitted out as a fully equipped kitchen, so you can easily make your own continental breakfast or picnic lunch from the nearby grocery store. (There is a fridge).
There are also lots of beach accessories, great books, great WiFi and good cable TV.
The resort itself has good common laundry rooms, vending & ice machines, all sorts of activities, and a fantastic golf-cart service that runs sunrise to sunset to take you down to the beach and back if you don't want to do the 10 minute walk (it's actually a very easy and beautiful walk through the resort grounds). The little beach is gorgeous, and is shared by the guests staying at the very $$$ "1 Hotel" next door. We found we could easily visit their beach bar too, if desired. BTW - one reviewer said it was possible to walk from this little beach to Hanalei, but we didn't see that as a safe or plausible option for us. Driving from the resort to Hanalei takes about 15 minutes, walking along the road takes an hour says Google.
