Very clean location. Stayed in the area before but chose a smaller unit this stay. Would definitely recommend booking with host in the future.
This vacation rental was absolutely amazing! It is in a beautiful gated community with quiet streets and awesome amenities. You do have to pay a 25 per day additional fee upon check in to utilize the on-site property pool, restaurant, and exercise facilities. The actual unit included lots of extras that may not have been included in the description. There were boogie boards, a beach, umbrella, cooler, snorkeling masks, and fins, all which were a great addition to this rental! We loved the location as it was close to the beaches that we frequent.
We were there with our two adult (ish) kids- ages 18 & 20. Condo was spacious and they each got their own double bed- and bathroom! Primary bedroom was large with a big ensuite. The lanai was lovely as well- even the wild turkey who came to visit each day! No bbq like some other condos had but the communal one wasn’t too far away. Long walk to the pool but worth it for the amount of space we had. Pool isn’t big enough for the amount of condos on this property- lots of disappointed people with no chairs to be had by 11 am. Overall a gorgeous place to stay!
Many condo units in Halii Kai have propane BBQ’s on the balconies but this one does not so beware if you plan to do your own cooking on a BBQ. Community BBQ’s are not that close to the unit and also very poorly lit at night so super inconvenient. The unit owners should step up and provide a BBQ.
Long walk to the pool and hottub (Ocean Club) so not ideal location.
Parking stall is not directly in front of the unit so that was inconvenient. No access to the garage that is right in front of the unit.
No “welcome basket” with small snacks after a long travel day to get there.
No Keurig coffee machine.
No small bag of ground coffee for the old style coffee maker that is in the unit.
Ice maker worked but the dispenser didn’t so had to dig it out by hand.
Washing machine worked but had to be unplugged and plugged back in several times before it would eventually turn on which was frustrating.
Master bedroom mattress was extremely firm. Hardest mattress I’ve ever experienced.
Unit was well decorated but showing its age despite this. Boogie boards and beach chairs are worn out with use and need replacing but it was nice that the unit had them.
All and all, I would stay in a different unit next time I stay at Halii Kai.
Beautiful property! Lots for families to do! Beautiful sun sets. Peaceful green property. Need a car to get to t he sights and the sights are beautiful!
Everything about it was perfect, the condo, the restaurant, all the beach fun !
This was my second time, but husband’s first time, staying at this property. We loved the location and my 9 year old son loved the pool area! Condo was plenty enough space for the 3 of us. It had all of the amenities and fully stocked! I would definitely recommend this place! Mahalo and we can’t wait to visit again.
We had an amazing 11 night stay at Hali'i Kai with our family of 4. The property is quiet and pristine with beautiful landscaping and amenities. We regularly used the pool and beach equipment and enjoyed the Waikaloa area. It was nice to have a separate room and beds for the kids and tvs with cable and streaming options to unwind in the evening. Excellent proximity to shops and dining. Highly recommend this property for your next stay in Hawaii.
We had a great stay with our adult daughters. All the amenities of the condo and the complex were exactly as described. Would definitely stay there again.
