Welcome to Hale Nalu! This townhome is located in the heart of Puamana, a 30-acre private paradise just south of Lahaina Town. The lush garden views and close distance to the 3 community swimming pools, tennis court, pickleball court, clubhouse with small gym, and private seasonal beach make this home an ideal vacation spot.
The fully-equipped kitchen has been remodeled with new appliances and cabinets. There is split system air conditioning in the family room and bedrooms so you can stay cool and comfortable in the tropical heat. The home's interior has been recently completely re-furnished with comfortable contemporary pieces including a custom made-in-Hawaii monkey pod dining table and benches. The home has also been newly decorated with some of the owners' favorite fine art photography - mostly of Maui waves, the inspiration for the home's name: Nalu.
The master bedroom is located on the ground level and is furnished with a king bed and TV; there is an ensuite bathroom as well as a walk-in master closet where the washer/dryer is located. The second bathroom is also located on the main floor. Both bathrooms have recently remodeled showers. The sun-filled dormer loft has a queen bed, two twin xl beds, and a daybed. The loft comfortably sleeps five people, including a person on the daybed. Blackout blinds have been installed in the loft so you can sleep in or nap on your vacation. A small wall mounted TV suitable for hooking up your gaming system is also available upstairs. Board and card games for children of all ages and Maui guide books are included in the main living area.
This home features two lanais: the front lanai is ideal for morning coffee (curl up in the hanging porch swing), while the spacious rear lanai is designed for BBQing, lounging, and private get togethers. There is plenty of outdoor seating, perfect for taking in Maui's beauty while relaxing with close friends and family. The grassy area beyond the rear lanai is a wonderful area for children to play. On the rear lanai, you will find beach chairs, a cooler, and boogie boards. Feel free to borrow these while you enjoy the Puamana ocean views or play in the waves. The ocean/ beach entrance is an easy three minute walk from the home.
Puamana is located at the south end of Front Street, so it is a very short drive or an enjoyable stroll (about 3/4 mile) into town to eat at one of the fabulous restaurants, shop, or catch a boat ride adventure from Lahaina Harbor. Puamana is also close to all of the other West Side attractions Maui has to offer and is located about 40 minutes from the airport.
Please note:
The loft stairs are open to the main living area and the space may not be ideal for very small children without close supervision; the loft ceilings are low - please watch your heads.

Loved our stay in Lahaina. The property managers were so gracious and happy to have guests back after fire and wanted us to let them know what might be needed. They were great about taking care of the few things we found. Reading some of the previous previews from before - wanted to say, there is a flashlight in closet, 4 beach chairs, 2 recliners (anti-gravity) 3 boogie boards, cooler...all of which we enjoyed. the pool was just a few houses down and very comfortable and relaxing. Really enjoyed in the morning and evening going down a short walk to shoreline and watching the waves and whales. Take you binoculars! So fun!!Enjoyed eating at the Aloha Plate in Lahiana-great food and prices decent. We actually stopped at Costco and picked up food so ate at the property most days. Great Weber grill and the kitchen was very well stocked. As far a condements there was salt and pepper. Also enjoyed the panini grill-worked great!Would recommend a fan in the guest bathroom as it does get pretty humid in there after a shower. Overall tho the bathrooms were very nice. Adequate counter space, very roomy shower with great water pressure. The hardest thing for us was not having a bathroom upstairs. The upstairs was very nice and roomy, watch out for corners tho! :) However we are all in our 70's and so I think that is more of an issure for us at night then for a family or younger couples. Great place to enjoy Hawaii and have quiet and have some R & R

This was a great property for a family. Plenty of room, clean and updated. We enjoyed the community as well. Very quiet and gated. The landscaping was beautiful. Property had two outdoor spaces and was a short walk to pools and beach. Private beach was clean and great for the family to enjoy. We would stay here again.

Overall we loved our stay at 87-1 Puamana. We are a family of 6 and the house was not only beautiful but had the ideal layout for my husband and I on the main level and all 4 kids in the upstairs loft area. The kitchen was fully stocked and had everything one could need during their stay. Loved all the beach gear (chairs, surf boards, body boards, beach toys) outdoor shower, and the front and back lanais. Nice added touch to have games and a basket of current books to use. While the air conditioning was broke was part of our stay, we were notified in advance, provided with portable units, and was fixed during the stay. My only complaint was with the condo security staff. The office was closed upon our arrival on Maui and we immediately called security who indicated it was not a problem and to just go to the office anytime the next day between 9-5 p.m. We had a snorkeling excursion the next day from 7-12 p.m., went to lunch, and immediately went back to the condo to check-in around 2:30. Later that day, we received a 'courtesy notice' that we needed to registered our vehicle (already did and sticker was on van) or we would be fined yet the prior day we were given until 5:00 to register. The night of fireworks, security came by 5 minutes before the fireworks were set to go off and kicked everyone out saying that we had to go somewhere else to watch because they were closing the pool 2 hours early without any advanced notice. While I loved the complex, these 2 encounters would be reason enough to consider staying somewhere different on our next visit which is unfortunate since the condo unit was perfect in every other way.

Had a great stay with our daughters! House was in a great location for surfing and boogie boarding at the beach by the house and just a few minutes from Lahaina. The house was clean and updated and had everything we needed.

The condo is nestled in a quiet and clean community - with two access points to the beach. In addition, it's only a mile from front street which provides the option to be close to the action of the little town, but far away enough to feel the peace of paradise. We loved the location! In traveling with our three young daughters (12, 9 and 6), it was great to have plenty of lawn for them to play catch and run around on at the end of the day! There were also several pools that our girls loved too. The condo itself was clean, updated and had incredibly comfortable beds. The washer/dryer in the unit was an added bonus. Upon our next return to Maui, we'll definitely stay here again.

87-1 couldn’t be more of a perfect vacation rental. The condo was well stocked with all the comforts of home and accommodated my family of 5. The front lanai is very peaceful as well as the back lanais which includes a bbq outdoor shower and all the beach toys surf boards, chairs ice chests, everything a family would need for a day at the beach. The gated community is well kept with three pools and access to the ocean. Mahalo for allowing us to stay at your beautiful home we all could feel the love your family has put into your little peace of paradise.
