I absolutely loved this property we make a sacrifice with no air conditioning but was not happy we had no hot water the entire time we were there. They fixed the hot tub quickly. We left three large fans we purchased from Walmart at the location.
This was a wonderful stay. When we had questions, the Team was very responsive. Thank you!

We absolutely loved this house. It is close to the Kona airport. This home is updated, super clean, peaceful with amazing view. I did not mind the roosters at all. I would definitely without any doubt recommend this home and would love to rent again hopefully in the future.
The home was beautiful and clean. Great location, and kids loved the pool. Only complaint was no AC, there’s generally a nice breeze but it was a little hot for sleeping, and the roosters and dogs woke us up early every day because we had the windows open.
We were very impressed with this incredible home. It had everything our family of three needed, from a very well appointed kitchen to space to spread out to a great pool and hot tub.The neighborhood was quiet and we felt secluded on a mountainside with a view of the ocean. We watched the sunrise enjoying the sounds of nature and watched the sunset from the hot tub. The home is close to several grocery stores and downtown Kona, and it was easy to zip to other places on the island to explore.The home is well decorated, comfortable and clean.Thank you for an incredible place to call home during our trip!

Great location on the island. Very easy access. The rental company was very communicative, even checking in before and after a pretty substantial storm blew through. House was clean and comfortable. We had no complaints at all. Hot tub was excellent in the evenings when relaxing.

where to begin.we live on oahu, need to get off the island to some peace and nature.this place does not disappoint. Immaculate, beautifully decorated, amenities plentiful, kitchen fully stocked, pool perfection-chilly to refresh. if you want to complain and need a heated pool go to a resort. this is perfect to wake up the senses. Mix it up with a hot tub to pool dips, great for the mind and body. Long talks with the chickens, geckos, ?baby chicks, dog next door that is perched on the railings guarding us, ?pigs not sure but sure made up some stories in our heads of the festivities going on in the backyard. Wonderful staff and response time. So much aloha and spirit in this house, cozy and filled up our souls. Be bopped around the island from this home and dug our toes into the sand at magic beach. fabulous cocktails here and the fish tacos are best we have had and thats hard pressed to say living on oahu. Played with the fishes at two steps as usual does not disappoint. We rode to top of mauna kea to watch the powerful and mighty sun go down again and we thanked her for her warmness. We stayed and were immersed in the stars and milky way. sheesh so few words were spoken. Laid on the roof of the car and just were quiet. Ate local, shopped at small venues and just were excited to go back home to this place to enjoy each other and cook out. This place is outstanding for everyone. Thank you for sharing your ohana with us, now back to our small 700sq foot studio in oahu,
This property is breathtakingly gorgeous. Our family enjoyed the beautiful ocean views, preparing Thanksgiving dinner, and baking Christmas cookies in the well stocked kit hen with a gogantuc island.
Overview: this house was perfect for our week's stay in Kona. Our group had five people, and the house was big enough that we didn't feel like we were on top of each other. Plus, having a pool and hot tub already at the house is fantastic if you want a lazy day, which we took advantage of. There were several reviews regarding the lack of air conditioning and the chickens, but neither bothered our group. The only thing that did was the neighbor's dog, who would bark at all hours of the day. It made sitting outside by the pool not always as enjoyable. But overview, this place was excellent, and I would recommend this house to anyone staying in Kona.
Property is a nice 3 bedroom and 2 bath house that the owners use and appear to rent out when they do not visit the property. Large kitchen that is well stocked and has a nice island to prep meals. The open concept leads to the living room with a large tv however the tv gets a bad reflection on it during the afternoon and evening as there are no blinds for the windows. The alternative is a beautiful sunset each evening from their deck where the windows are located. Also on the top floor is the master bedroom and bathroom which were large and include a walk-in closet. Downstairs are two bedrooms and the laundry room. Each have quality furniture.
Our only complaint is that they only provided one roll of toilet paper and when asked about we were told by the management company via text that they only provide a starter amount and that we would have to buy our own. I found this to be quite cheap considering the price per night. They did communicate later in the day that they could provide some more in a couple of days but we had already ran out so we had to go to the store to buy more. We left our extra rolls at the end of our rental for the next family of renters. Otherwise this would have been a 5 star review except for the lack of toilet paper.

The home was beautiful clean & a view. Had all kinds of pool activities for the kids, the pool was not warm & did not use the pool much , kids might of used 3 times & less than 30 mins each use, was too cold to go in even in the month of July. Overall the house was great. The property management was in contact with myself pretty often.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this house. It is in the perfect location to get around the island. The house is nicely decorated and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was stocked well enough to cook meals at the house. We did contact the management company a couple times during our stay and they were quick to deal with our requests. While there were a couple of coolers it would have also been nice to have a thermos to take to the beach. The house did have pool/beach towels but I think it may be time to replace them. It also may be time to replace the umbrella by the pool as with all the rips and tears its not really usable. The house does not have A/C but this was not a problem for us since we were there in March. We had the windows open the entire time and the house stay cool enough. The roosters that live around the house wake up very early so I would suggest bringing EARPLUGS if you want to be able to stay asleep! All in all we enjoyed our time and would definitely stay at this house again.
We stayed near Hilo for 4 days and Kona for 6 days. This was amazing place to stay, excellent amenities and location. We enjoyed snorkeling with manta rays, the submarine tour of the ocean bottom and deep sea fishing on Sea Baby III. Thoroughly enjoyed the awesome kitchen it made us feel at home for meals.

Well first off. We did NOT find the Roosters cute, as other guest had written in house book. Not only did they make noise all day but started as early as 3am. This would not be as much of an issue if you could close the windows. You could NOT because it was very warm. No A/C was a huge problem for us. First two days very breezy so it was ok, however too breezy to enjoy the pool and lani. The last day normal temp/breeze way to warm in the home, day and night. You need at least one unit in the bedroom. Then you could close windows and hear less, rooster, dog, car noise from neighborhood. Parking spot a little tricky to get in and out of. If you have a large SUV, good luck. Home was clean but not spotless. No welcome note or amenity. No curtains or blinds in the kitchen/dinette area make it hard to find a place to eat out of the sun. We did not use the pool, too cool for us. The bathroom window had no window covering. It is a high window in the shower area but I could see the house above this one so could they see me? We have rented many VRBO in Hawaii for 20 years. It is a real problem this No A/C because it is a "higher elevation" doesn't fly. It is too warm. You can charge extra to have/use A/C, we have paid at other rentals a per day charge to use the A/C.

After 7 full days of driving the Big Island seeing all the sights, swimming with Mantas and eating Malasadas from Tex’s, we enjoyed 4 wonderful days laying by the pool at HALE LIO KAI. The hot tub was divine. Beds were comfortable, sunsets so beautiful! Highly recommended.

My family had a glorious week-long stay in this lovely home. It’s nicely updated, has pretty ocean views, and is located in a quiet residential neighborhood within easy driving distance to beaches and town. Well-stocked with everything a family might need for the kitchen as well as beach outings. The management company was very responsive and a breeze to work with. We would not hesitate to stay here again.
